This is great so far. We have been discussing niches internally and how to best categorize the sites so that people can find what they're looking for. At the end of the day, a "niche" is anything that is broken down from a larger category. It is sometimes referred to as a "Sub-Category." So, say you like Boobs. For the purposes of this discussion, "Boobs" is the category. Okay, so from there, big boobs, tiny tits, boob worship, breast torture, titty fucking, giant areolas, milking, etc would be niches. Obviously, there is some overlap (many big boob sites feature some worship and titty fucking), but niches are kind of the thing you're really looking for from a particular site or scene when enjoying the content. If you're looking for some Titty Fucking from a scene (in particular, if the site promotes titty fucking on their tour and Members Area), but all you're getting is boob worship, you will most likely be disappointed (even if the performer has a great chest and the boob worship was enjoyable). But niches can also cut across multiple categories, so they are more fluid. For example, we would probably list a breast torture site under BDSM (as we feel that is more in line with the goals and audience expectations of the site), but it could also be logically categorized under boobs. Maybe even ideally both. Or think of Old/Young, which can be applied as a niche to Taboo, Grannies, MILFs and several others. And from even there, what kind of Old/Young? Man/Woman, Woman/Man, Man/Man or Woman/Woman? Please continue sharing the niches you enjoy now or have enjoyed in the past. | |

I seriously doubt your server is big enough for me to spell out all of my favourite niches!  But seriously, I'm assuming that you consider anal to be a category in itself and I understand that, but I mention it because for all of the small sub-niches I have when you anal over top of those it makes them even better! Actually, a niche of anal is probably collecting 'first' anal scenes. I always look for those. Not sure if these are considered niches but it's usually very specific things that turn me on that are not easy to find: -Real amateurs with clearly recognizable nationalities (For example: thick accents that betray which country or city they are from so that they are clearly not pretending). Usually from Latin, African or Northern European countries (not sure why). -Amateur porn that is of "lower quality" (e.g. filmed with a cellphone) but still has very nice camera angles. I look at the way the women are dressed in the promos and the description of the site's scenes. Although it helps, they don't necessarily have to be strictly lesbian. Some sites I regularly subscribe to are general, but have a fair amount of lesbian scenes. What makes them special is how they tailor the scenes. Not BDSM, but one woman dominating over the other is what I look for. So if I check out a site and see a couple of scenes where there are women dominating the others then I'll check it. I don't have a time or scene that brought me to my particular niche. It evolved. I started buying Penthouse in the early 70's and their exotic scenes did have a strong influence. Hi Freddie, to answer your questions: 1. When searching for specific types of content, I tend to visit various porn review sites and look at the listed sites. I've never used a Google search. My favorite thing is a bit tricky to find on sites - even those that are in the most related niche... I like when a guy pulls partially or all the way out so his cum is visible on the gal's pussy or a-hole before using his dick to corral up his load and push it back inside. Ideally that's followed by a few sloppy deep thrusts of his shaft with his cum for lube. It gives me "closure" for lack of a better term - it's such a satisfying ending. !) I confess to using tube sites but I won't mention which ones because I really don't like the whole piracy thing. But I can at least try to justify using those sites because I search for scenes in niches I like and I'll occasionally find one I really like and it has a watermark that I can then source. That's happened a lot of times so it takes away some of my guilt over using tube sites. The other way I can find stuff is that I check out any new site that gets listed or reviewed at TBP and PU. Sometimes I get lucky and find stuff in niches I like. More frequently though I don't find those niches but the site is interesting anyway so I join. 2) This question is almost impossible to answer. For most guys doing so would require knowledge of how the male brain is wired. While it may be relatively easy to figure out why I like scenes with slow, sensual oral sex (it's hot!) I could likely never explain to anyone, myself included, why I like scenes with sex on boats. I've certainly never had an experience that would indicate this would be a fetish. It may be that one is a subset of my interest in public sex. But even then, I have no idea where my interest in public sex comes from. So I guess to answer your second question concisely, I have these interests pop up occasionally and they just get added to the 'list.' About niches. I don't really get the niches on TheBestPorn. There is a huge Fetisch category, yet several fetishes get their own category like Balloons, Smothering, Trampling, Bizzare, etc. etc. But there's not a niche category for the popular POV for example. ATM could get under Anal, Deep throat under Blowjobs, Glasses under Nerds, etc. And is there really a need for a HD porn niche? Most sites are HD right now. I believe the niches categories should get looked at as it's too cluttered right now. Anyway, my favorite niche is JOI (also not on bestporn).
