I have been reading alot but I want to ask you all. I do have some saved porn in a harddrive that I have been using on a laptop, would like to put on the bedroom tv through a home network? WDlive, Roku? what does the majority use for streaming? Thanks, R

Welcome! I would just connect the laptop to the PC via HDMI and play it directly The problem with the world is stupidity. Not saying there should be capital punishment for stupidity, but why don't we just take the safety labels off of everything and let the problem solve itself? Frank Zappa

Welcome roth, It highly depends what your setup is in the bedroom - how old is the TV, what other AV stuff is in there, etc. I have a windows media center PC in the bedroom which I use to stream videos and other media off network linked hard drives and other computers (and play media off the media center PC itself, obviously). I think it works pretty well, although if your only reason for doing this is to stream porn to the TV I would just use a laptop as others have suggested - assuming you have an HDMI port, VGA plus audio cables is sort of a pain in the ass. I have never tried any of the media streaming devices. Seems like you can get apps for the Roku that may work, but you would likely be format limited, but I think Roku is really designed for streaming Netflix and Amazon stuff. If you have an xbox360, this will do this task directly, although you might have some file format limitations, I've played around with it on mine and it seems okay on most common formats - although pre-slimline ones are loud as shit, and load times are somewhat slow. The downside of any such setup is that your significant other will almost certainly find your stash eventually, if that is a concern. Bunny Lebowski: I'll suck your cock for a thousand dollars. Brandt: Ah hahahahaha! Wonderful woman. We're all, we're all very fond of her. Very free-spirited.

I'll add that so will the PS3. I keep stuff on an external hard drive - and I can just unplug it from my computer and plug it into the PS3 and play directly from there. If you have one, it's a good option. Otherwise there are various options that I'm sure others will expand on...

Ditto, older TV's may have monitor hook ups as well. If your video card has extra out puts all the better to clone the screen and have it show on the tv and pc . Since 2007
