Nature/outdoor versus bedrooms ect. This goes for both softcore and hc/bg (but mostly softcore, I guess): There are some - relatively - fine sites with softcore girl-videos - like MPL, MetArt, Hegre, Amour Angels, Errotica Archives - and to some extend MCN, ect. Apart from the fact that most of these site are going for the 'art' deal (boring) - some of the videos are damn fine/ok - Mainly because they got some new, swell looking models (not only teens). Models you normally do NOT see at those big sites like the ones from DDF and 21Sextury. BUT: I'm getting fed up with all those outdoor/nature scenes where it seems like the main purpose here is for the director to find some strange, special or obscure place to do those videos (and photosets): Like at a rundown Trainstation, a ditto bridge (see MPL), in some grassy field out in nowhere and MOST of all: in some river/or rocky beach doing endless wet-shoots. Do not get it - cannot find any intimicy here - it's does not HAVE to be in a bed/bedroom - but more indoor video-shootings, please.... Is this the main difference between sites like Club Sandy, Pixandvideo, 1ByDay ect - and those other art-kind-of- sites, maybe - any points of view here....? I agree with you, Denner. I prefer indoor shoots myself. Especially shoots taken in bedrooms because sex and beds go together perfectly for me! When it comes to outdoor shoots I find that not only does the photographer tend to become slightly artsy but quite often everything is way over-exposed. | |

Hear, hear! - I go for bedroom-shoots, too. Nothing like a naked girl/women on a bed. And 'stark-naked' - it's VERY ok with lingerie ect. in the start/the first parts of a shoot (video or photoset) - but comletely naked in the last parts....guess most/a lot here worships a fine female body most of all - along with the sence of intimacy. I don't like outdoor shoots. The one thing that always bothered me about Femjoy was all the naked girls posing on boulders. Naturally they have to be very careful, so the poses are bland. | |

Denner, I think you've hit the nail on its proverbial little pointed head. (I guess it's a finishing nail.) The DDF content is mostly indoors, whereas the art (pronounced "Ahhht") sites do more stuff outdoors at far-flung outdoor locales, which seem to include some of the run-down, weather-beaten, weed-ridden specimens that could just as well be shown on the History Channel's Life After People series. True, when you think of corroding iron bridges and cracked slate by the riverside, do the supple skin and come-hither eyes of a nubile Ukrainian Aphrodite follow quickly by free association? Hell, I think I've just talked myself into it! (LOL) Beats picking burrs off my socks! There are times, though, when I wonder if the model is not in some danger. I've seen shots of them perched quite precariously on tall cliffsides, and sometimes they look a bit unnerved by it themselves. I wanted something new, so I left England for New England. Once again, going against the grain here. I actually like outdoor shoots. While I agree that some photographers tend to get a little too artsy when shooting outside, I like the variation you get in different locations. Indoor shoots look the same to me. It's almost always some avant-garde house, in either the bedroom, the kitchen or the living room. Once in a while maybe something as wild as ... ohhhh... a library! :yawn: Outdoor locations needn't lack intimacy, unless they're trying something as foolish as shooting in a public park or somewhere near a residential area. If you've ever had a sexual encounter in some secluded spot, far from people, you might know what I mean. Yes, shooting outdoors has it's share of problems. Lighting can't be controlled outside like it can inside, and shoots might have delays you wouldn't get indoors. But, to me, that just puts the burden of creating a good product on the photographer and the editting people. "Are you good at what you do? Show me!" I tend to lean in the RagingBuddhist direction. There are some very nice outdoor shoots that have found their way into my personal collection, including some real favorites! But good lighting and light shadowing must be there, to say nothing of varmint control. (How many times have we seen flies and such alighted on our lovelies?) I hate pics where the top of the model is in full light, but her ass is in Dark Shadows (cue theme song: da-da-DAHH-da-da, da-DAH-da-da ...). Or on a beach with the damn sun going down, or as a storm approaches! (strains of Copland's Cloudburst heard in background) RB is right, these people have to show what they're good at. Some of them just go ahead and post their unsatisfying content, and when I see it, having already paid to, it winds up in the bin. Really, that's worse than the almost daily ritual of "retrieve junk mail from post box, place directly into recycling bag." Denner's point was that some sites overdo it with the outdoorsy stuff. I believe that a good balance should be struck. Not 50-50, but maybe 30:70 outdoors:indoors. I wanted something new, so I left England for New England. | |

I have to put in my two cents here in favor of indoor shots. Girls are too often in the shadows and backlighting can work poorly. There is no sense of intimacy. | |

Definitely prefer indoors. Bedroom, kitchen, bathroom, preferably, although I will say: pics taken in what is obviously a hotel or motel room bother me. Makes me think the model is a prostitute, which, well, she sometimes is. You know what I hate the most about selfish people? It's that they don't think enough about MEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEE!! | |
