Don't want to cause any trouble so lock if you think this is against the rules. I'm just more interested in the legality, connections to the industry and so on, not discussing content, providing links or anything.

It seems that these sites are strongly supported or even owned by the companies that run pay sites as well. They have trailer type of content provided by many studio registered users or channels. They advertise proper pay sites that must be paying for those banners and links. But are they legal and what's their standing? Or are they just tolerated and used as advertising to get something out of the unpreventable phenomenon?

I can perfectly see why they would be tolerated by industry as long as they only provided short trailers and old VHS/DVD stuff that has not much market value anymore. However, it seems that these sites allow individual users to upload and even download videos if they register. That cannot be in any honest party's interests since there's also lots of newer stuff in HD on those sites.

Or is it just that it's hard to fight for ones rights if the industry is not widely accepted?

With Google Cardboard cheap to get for anyone, Samsung handing out free Gear VR to pre orderers of their new phones and Oculus Rift on it's way to market, I'm surprised to see that the VR has not been discussed here yet. In every article about VR there is someone mentioning that it will or should be huge in porn in any case. In fact, there aren't even TBP or PU entries for the few VR porn sites out there I was able to find through other sites.

Has anyone any experience of the stuff or recommendations for good sites? It seems that BaDoinkVR is probably the most high profile one out there at the moment with NaughtyAmerica. However, I'm a bit reluctant to try either one given the mediocrity of the main site. BaDoinkVR stuff looks ok in the preview while NaughtyAmerica is as tame as anything they've produced.

With slight disbelief I read all the reviews and comments where our fellow users basically say that many respectable looking businesses are simply crooks and thieves. It appears that many simply do not care at all even what people on sites like this think and say about their practices although they obviously are connected somehow with review sites with their special pricings and such things. There must be something strange afoot when people see things like direct credit card billing as a red flag that makes them avoid a site altogether although there really is no safer method of payment than cc around.

They try to make you accidentally buy things you did not want. They make it hard to unsubscribe. They charge you too much and do not reply to support email. They sell your email address to spammers. They make outright false promises. They offer you cheap or free trials that are practically impossible to cancel in time to avoid very expensive rebill. And then when they think you've broken their rules (like having logged in from too many IP addresses) they ban you right away without further explanations.

Is there a trend or do I read too much into the negatives that people always tend to bring up easier than the positives? How could they really keep up with that kind of behaviour since no reputable credit card or billing companies would keep doing business with them? Or is it just that people suck it up and never make charge back requests? Could it have something to do with local legislation as it at least appears to me that European sites have less of the pre checked traps and other nastiness? Why would they kick the paying customer at the times when everybody complains about piracy?

Personally I've always seen adult business as any other industry, only that it creates content strongly disliked by some. Never thought there was anything shady in the business practices of the major names. I guess I've been lucky so far with only one unused spare email addy turned into a box.

Haven't run into any shady business yet but reading the reviews, people have had issues with billing on sites I'd still love to join. I have never had issues with Visa and always gotten money back when I've been frauded or billed multiple times and such but I'd hate to have to change my card because of some fradulent site.

I've seen mentions of temporary credit cards you can use when you feel insecure. What are these and where can one get them? Are they just a temporary code you get?

I wish PayPal and others would accept adult industry.

What would be the popular choice for a free DL manager to make things go smoother? For a free application ad banners are ok but spyware (if they have any) is not.

I guess the last time I used one was GetRight and that must have been 8 years ago
