The rottentomatoes on The Three Musketeers concurently has a tomatometer rating of 25%. That means only 25% of the critics gave this movie a positive rating. I thought (even though I haven't seen it yet) that Milla Jovovich by herself would be worth at least half of these critics (assuming they are human and males) would have given the movie a 50% positive rating, assuming they were not dead or zombified.

Is the movie really that bad?

I will be waiting for the DVD, to give you the real scoop on this one.

From Wikipekia:

A Muslim, also spelled Moslem, is an adherent of Islam, a monotheistic, Abrahamic religion based on the Qur'an, which Muslims consider the verbatim word of God as revealed to prophet Muhammad. "Muslim" is the Arabic term for "one who submits to God".

Currently, the most up-to-date reports from an American think tank and PBS have estimated 1.2 to 1.57 billion Muslims populate the world, or about 20% of an estimated 2009 world population of 6.8 billion, with 60% in Asia and 20% of Muslims living in the Middle East and North Africa.

Thanks, otoh. Those are those useful to DownThemAll.

But I do not know how to que up files for them to be downloaded automatically.

Also, is there any way to automatically set up files to be downloaded starting at pre-set times in DownThemAll?

DownThemAll is a free download manager that is simple to use, and works well.

But I do not know how to que up files for them to be downloaded automatically.

Also, is there any way to automatically set up files to be downloaded starting at pre-set times in DownThemAll?

You can enter a file for download in DownThemAll as active or paused.
In active state, the download for that file starts immediately.
In paused state, the file is in standby mode, it does not start to download until you manually start the file downloading (by highlighting the file and hitting the resume arrow). Otherwise, the file in pause mode will apparently stay in pause mode forever.

You can start up to 4 separate files downloading at the same time with DownThemAll.

But I would really like to know how to que up files to be downloaded automatically. And I would like to know how to set up files to be downloaded at a pre-set time.

I used to use Free Download Manager, and you could que up files to be downloaded automatically with that. And you could also pre-set the time for individual files to be downloaded.

But a few versions earlier, Firefox disabled my copy of Free Download Manager, and I haven't used Free Download Manager since.

Maybe I should check to see if I can use a current version of Free Download Manager with my current version of Firefox, and see how that works.

But any help on using Down Them All would be appreciated.

I thought my sarcasm was pretty clear when I wrote: Burn, Baby, Burn, for people who don't agree with some religious group.

At the same time, I realize there are people who do believe in "Burn, Baby, Burn", for people who disagree with their religious beliefs. Whether the burning takes place in this world or in the afterlife (hell).

Actually, if I was a strict Muslim, I probably wouldn't be hanging out at this site, except to warn all of you of your terrible behavior. And no, I am not Muslim. Edited on Oct 15, 2011, 06:11pm

Is this on topic?

I enjoy photos more than videos. And I have too many favorite models and photo sets to pick just a few favorites.

There truly are so many gorgeous, lovely, attractive, cute girls in porn the last decade or more.

I'm afraid I won't qualify for extra points, because I can't recall off-hand any special holiday-themed sets that were exceptional. But sites like MetArt and MPL Studios and X-Art offer breathtaking visions of feminine beauty.

This is the kind of religious freedom we should be encouraging in the United States and other nations that believe in personal freedom and the right of free speech. If anyone shows a movie we do not like, or that somehow offends our notion of what is proper, burn their home, and maybe burn them as well. Free speech for a free people. Yes!

But what about the fella that showed the movie we didn't like? Does he have any rights?

This is a deeply philosophical matter, that will take time to resolve.

In the meantime: Burn, Baby, Burn!

Protesters attack home of Tunis TV station head

By BOUAZZA BEN BOUAZZA - Associated Press |

AP – 2 hours 5 minutes ago

Radical Islam demonstrators leave as police use tear gas during a demonstration in Tunis, Friday, Oct. 14, 2011. Tunisia overthrew its long ruling leader President Zine El Abidine Ben Ali in January after a month-long popular uprising that inspired similar movements across the region. Nine months filled with new demonstrations, unrest and uncertainty have culminated in the beginning of the campaign for elections on Oct. 23. (AP Photo/Hassene Dridi)

TUNIS, Tunisia (AP) — A mob attacked the home of a Tunisian television station owner with firebombs on Friday, following protests against a film his channel aired.

The channel Nessma reported that around 100 people attacked the home of station owner Nabil Karoui at night, hurling firebombs and forcing his wife and children to flee out the back.

Karoui, who has apologized for airing the movie "Persepolis," which religious conservatives deem blasphemous, was not at home at the time.

Earlier in the day, Tunisian police used tear gas to disperse thousands in the capital protesting against the film following weekly prayers.

The demonstrations and home assault represent an escalations in tensions liberals and religious conservatives ahead Tunisia's landmark Oct. 23 election for a constitutional body that will determine the future of this North African nation that overthrew its longtime dictator in January.

Worshippers poured out of al-Fatah mosque in downtown Tunis in the afternoon and began protesting after the imam preached against "Persepolis," calling it a "serious attack on the religious beliefs of Muslims."

Marjane Satrapi's award-winning adaptation of her graphic novels about growing up during Iran's 1979 Islamic Revolution contains a scene showing a character representing God. Depictions of God are considered sacrilege in Islam.

The film won the jury prize at the 2007 Cannes Film Festival.

The preacher in Tunis questioned the timing of the broadcast by a private TV station during such a sensitive period before the election, describing it as an attempt to divide Tunisians at a time when national unity was needed.

Police stopped the marchers with tear gas Friday as they headed toward the Nessma TV station.

Karoui has since apologized for airing the film earlier this week, calling it a "mistake."

There have been other protests against the TV station in the cities of Sousse, Monastir, Sidi Bouzid and Beja. Police arrested 50 demonstrators in Tunis on Sunday after they tried to attack the station.

There have been a rise in attacks against perceived symbols of secularism by hardcore Muslims in Tunisia ahead of the elections. Once suppressed by the former regime, conservative Muslims are increasingly making themselves heard in the country's politics.

Since the government was overthrown in January, Tunisia has been filled with unrest and demonstrations as well as the rise of a new ultraconservative group of Muslims that had kept a low profile under the largely secular regime of former President Zine El Abidine Ben Ali.

Salafists, as the conservatives are known, attacked a movie theater in June that was showing a film they deemed insulting to Islam and last week there were attacks on university that refused to enroll a student wearing the conservative Islamic face veil.

The front-runner in the election is expected to be the Ennahda Party, a moderate Islamist movement that had been severely repressed under the previous regime.

Macho man. There will probably be a movie of the week on this one.

The article seems a little confused. It states that Asim Martinez used a gun to kill a neighbor, shooting the neighbor 12 times.

Over 10 years ago, Asim Martinez beat a different murder rap for allegedly shooting David Walker, 19, to death on a basketball court.

But the article also says: "This time, Martinez stabbed a man in the neck with an ice pick after he had slapped Martinez's female cousin, a police source said."

So who did Asim Martinez (allegedly) stab in the neck with an ice pick? And did that person also die?

Staten Island man commits murder to get even after victim had spit in wife’s face, cops say

NY Daily News

John Doyle, DAILY NEWS STAFF WRITER

A Staten Island man who beat a murder rap more than a decade ago is back in the can after surveillance camera footage showed him using a gun to get even - permanently - with a neighbor, police said.

Asim Martinez, 32, committed murder in a rage after his neighbor, Tracy Francis, spit in Martinez's wife's face, a law enforcement source told the Daily News Wednesday.

Martinez, seeking to avenge the disgusting slight of his wife, found Francis inside his apartment building on Park Hill Ave. in Stapleton about 2:30 a.m. on Sept. 3.

He shot Francis a dozen times, a police source said.

But he picked a bad spot for murder: the entire incident was filmed on the building's surveillance camera, authorities said.

Police collared Martinez Wednesday on Marcy Ave. in Bedford-Stuyvesant, Brooklyn, after he once again turned to violence to punish a man who had wronged a woman in his life. This time, Martinez stabbed a man in the neck with an ice pick after he had slapped Martinez's female cousin, a police source said.

Martinez was arrested in the summer of 1999 for allegedly shooting David Walker, 19, to death on a basketball court at Staten Island's Stapleton Houses.

He was set free after a grand jury empaneled under then-District Attorney William Murphy opted not to indict him.

Martinez now faces charges of murder and weapons possession, said a spokesman for Staten Island District Attorney Daniel Donovan Jr.

New James Bond villain reported:

...........
...........

After warming moviegoers' hearts as Julia Roberts' endearing beau in "Eat Pray Love," Javier Bardem - who won an Oscar for his chilling portrayal of a hitman in 2007's "No Country For Old Men" -- will soon play the bad guy once again.

After months of rumors, the Spanish actor, 42, has confirmed he has been cast as the villain for the upcoming 23rd James Bond film, alongside returning Bond stars Daniel Craig and Judi Dench.

"I am very excited," Bardem told Christiane Amanpour of joining the famed 007 franchise, during a recent "Nightline" interview. "My parents took me to watch the movies and I saw all of them. So to play that is going to be fun!"

Beyond the casting confirmation, Bardem, who became a father to a baby boy with "Vicky Cristina Barcelona" co-star Penelope Cruz in January, was unable to reveal additional information about his latest role.

"They chose me to play this man, but I cannot give you many details," he said.

The next Bond movie, reportedly titled "Skyfall," is slated for theatrical release on November 9, 2012.

I have bought hundreds of DVDs. Maybe over a thousand. And for most of them, I've only watched them once. These are non-porn, mostly regular movies. Some are musical performance DVDs, which I do watch more than once (U2, Tina Turner, Cher, etc.).

But it's slowly becoming clear that, for me at least, it makes far more sense to just rent a movie and watch it once, then, if I ever want to see it again, rent it again. Especially with Redbox movies for $1 each.

And I'm wondering why I've got such a huge porn collection. The vast majority of the porn (both photo sets and videos), I've downloaded and viewed only once.

The thrill is in the search for new porn. But if that's true, why do I have several hard drives loaded with TBs of porn, that I will probably never look at, except to try to delete some of the worst to make room so I won't have to keep buying new hard drives?

Nicolas Cage sounds entirely sane, logical, and reasonable in his viewpoint about watching a movie at the theater versus watching it on TV or on a computer monitor. So he's not a crazy guy all the time. Just sometimes.

I wish him well, because I've watched many of his movies.

Cage laments lack of screen time for 'Trespass'
APBy DAVID GERMAIN - AP Movie Writer | AP – 34 mins ago

TORONTO (AP) — Nicolas Cage may be happy he got to work with Nicole Kidman and reunite with director Joel Schumacher on his new thriller "Trespass." Yet Cage isn't thrilled that viewers will be able to watch the movie at home the same day it opens in a handful of theaters.

The story of a family terrorized by home intruders, "Trespass" debuts Friday for a limited theatrical run in New York City, Los Angeles, Chicago and seven other major markets. It will be available at the same time for home viewing through video on demand.

The DVD and Blu-ray release follow barely two weeks later on Nov. 1, compared with a typical window of about four months between the time most Hollywood films open in theaters and debut on home video.

It's a business decision that will help "Trespass" distributor Millennium Entertainment, an independent outfit that does not have the big marketing bucks of a Hollywood studio, make the most of its advertising dollars.

Cage understands that, but he wishes the movie could have a separate life on the big-screen before it goes to smaller television and computer screens — or even tiny cell-phone screens.

"I like movies to be seen the way the director wanted them to be seen, which is on the big-screen, with an audience, with their popcorn," Cage said in an interview alongside Schumacher at September's Toronto International Film Festival, where "Trespass" premiered.

"I want movies to be an event. I want people to get excited about it and go out for the night with their wife or their date, whatever it may be, and have it be an event. I don't want it to get smaller and smaller and wind up on a cell phone."

Smaller distributors such as Magnolia Pictures and IFC Films often release films to theaters and video on demand around the same time. Some films can be watched at home ahead of their theatrical release, such as Kirsten Dunst's "Melancholia," already available to rent through video services a month before it debuts in U.S. cinemas.

With Academy Award winners Cage and Kidman, along with director Schumacher ("Batman Forever," ''A Time to Kill"), "Trespass" arguably is the biggest test yet for simultaneous big-screen and home releases. Cage stars as a diamond dealer taken hostage with his wife (Kidman) and daughter by masked thugs looking for jewels and cash.

Several studios experimented with plans offering video-on-demand rentals of films such as Adam Sandler's "Just Go with It" and Matt Damon's "The Adjustment Bureau" just 60 days after their theatrical release. Those were expensive rentals — $30 a pop — and the timing was after the films already had done most of their business in theaters.

As another test, Universal Pictures is offering home rentals of the Eddie Murphy-Ben Stiller action comedy "Tower Heist" to viewers in Atlanta and Portland, Ore., just three weeks after its Nov. 4 theatrical release. That one will cost $60 to rent, a hefty price for home viewing but potentially cheaper than movie tickets, popcorn and sodas for an entire family to see it in theaters.

"Trespass" will be available to rent for as little as $6.99 through such sites and services as Amazon.com, Blockbuster and DirecTV. At that price, and since it plays only in 10 theaters, it's fair to say that most viewers of "Trespass" will end up seeing it at home.

"We're very encouraged that it will be quite successful," said David Sobieraj, president of strategic planning and television at Millennium Entertainment. "In this day and age, independents are pretty much consolidating some of the windows on theatrical and home releases. It maximizes the marketing dollars across the board."

Those shrinking windows have theater owners worried that more people will stay home and wait for movies on video rather than heading out to cinemas. Top filmmakers including among them James Cameron ("Avatar") and Michael Bay (the "Transformers" movies) sided with theater owners in an open letter last spring, as studios were testing their $30 video-on-demand rentals.

Schumacher, who previously directed Cage in "8MM" and Kidman in "Batman Forever," said he would prefer that people see his movies in a theater. But he acknowledges that technology is changing the way fans watch movies.

"I'm easily assimilated," Schumacher said. "Yes, it's wonderful when people see your movie on the big-screen, but a lot of our movies are seen over and over again on television, and also DVDs have brought a whole new audience. ... I'll accept it if they say they watched it on their cell phone one day. They watched it and they enjoyed it."

Cage concedes that with the high cost of taking the whole family to a movie, parents could save up for a couple of months, "get a big-screen TV and just watch your movies at home.

"So that's why people have to get smart about how they release movies, and they have a point. Put it on the big-screen and also get ready for the future, which is, people are going to be watching movies at home with their friends, drinking beer and talking as loud as they want," Cage said. "I get it. I just don't like it."

This is the way more of us should be, pro-active film critics who demand not just a refund but an apology, when a movie is disappointing.

And maybe more of us should get refunds when a pay site does not live up to our expectations.

FilmDistrict Sued Over 'Misleading' 'Drive' Trailer

A Michigan woman was disappointed with the Ryan Gosling film, having expected "Fast and Furious" style thrills.

The Hollywood Reporter – Mon, Oct 10, 2011 3:23 PM EDT

Ryan Gosling's crime drama Drive may have been a hit with critics, earning a score of 93% on Rotten Tomatoes, but one Michigan woman was so unhappy with the film -- she's suing.

Sarah Deming has filed a lawsuit against FilmDistrict claiming that the distributors, "promoted the film Drive as very similar to the Fast and Furious, or similar, series of movies."

The film, directed by Nicolas Winding Refn, sees Gosling as an unnamed stunt driver by day who moonlights as getaway driver by night. While the movie features a few impressive car scenes, the story centers mostly on the Driver's relationship with Carey Mulligan's character and several gruesome casualties along his journey to protect her family from harm.

"Drive bore very little similarity to a chase, or race action film… having very little driving in the motion picture," the suit continues. "Drive was a motion picture that substantially contained extreme gratuitous defamatory dehumanizing racism directed against members of the Jewish faith, and thereby promoted criminal violence against members of the Jewish faith.

Deming is seeking a refund for her movie ticket, in addition to halting the production of "misleading movie trailers" in the future. The plaintiff intends to turn her individual case into a class action lawsuit, thereby allowing fellow movie-goers an opportunity to share in the settlement, reports Detroit's WDIV-TV.

Maybe there would be more interest in the sequel, Real Steel 2, if there was a subplot of Wolverine (the Hugh Jackman X-Men character) meets the killer robots.

So this makes it easy to gather lists of names, ISP addresses, and other information about people who want to view porn.

Since there is so much hacking going on, maybe, as a public service, someone could publish on a web site everyone who opts to view porn. Their names, street address, and any additional information that might be of interest to neighbors, relatives, and the rest of the free world.

Religion? Psychology? Human nature?

Rihanna, the singer, says she's happy for the current success of her former boyfriend, Chris Brown. Chris Brown has anger management issues.

Any girl friend or possible wife should be guaranteed 24-hour security guards in case Chris Brown gets bored or angry and wants to start beating on them.

Rihanna says she's happy for Chris Brown's success

AP – 1 hr 30 mins ago

NEW YORK (AP) — Rihanna says she resented Chris Brown for a time, but has put that behind her and is happy that her former boyfriend has found success in music again.

Rihanna tells Esquire magazine that disliking Brown "was taking up too much of my time" and that she has moved on from that.

"It was too much anger," the 23-year-old said. "I'm really excited to see the breakthrough he's had in his career."

Brown, 21, is serving five years of probation after pleading guilty to felony assault for the attack on Rihanna in the early morning hours before the 2009 Grammys. "Graffiti," the album he released 10 months after the attack, was a commercial disappointment. But his latest release, "F.A.M.E. (Forgiving All My Enemies)," debuted at No. 1 on the Billboard 200 albums chart in March; it reached gold status and has multiple pop and R&B hits with songs like "Look at Me Now" and "Deuces," among other tracks.

"It's incredible to see how he pulled out the way he did. Even when the world seemed like it was against him, you know?" Rihanna said. "I really like the music he's putting out. I'm a fan of his stuff. I've always been a fan."

Rihanna has done well musically, too: Her albums following the attack — "Rated R" and "Loud" — have both gone platinum, and she's releasing a new album, "Talk That Talk," next month. Her latest single, "We Found Love," is her 20th song to hit the Top 10 on the Billboard Hot 100 singles chart since she debuted in 2005.

Overall, she says she wants to see Brown do well.

"I would never wish anything horrible for him. Never. I never have," she said.

Esquire named Rihanna as its Sexiest Woman Alive for 2011. The November issue of the magazine hits newsstands on Oct. 16.

Police: Chris Brown Punched Rihanna, Threatened to Kill Her

People Magazine

By Rennie Dyball

Thursday March 05, 2009 11:00 AM EST

A detective's report on the alleged Rihanna assault reveal disturbing details about what happened between the singer and her boyfriend Chris Brown in the early hours of Feb. 8.

According to a search warrant in the case, Rihanna, 21, read a three-page text message from a woman on Brown's phone, which led to an argument. Brown – who was charged with two felonies Thursday – allegedly tried to force his girlfriend out of the Lamborghini, and hit her head against the passenger window.

Rihanna then "turned to face Brown and he punched her in the left eye with his right hand," says the paperwork. "He then drove away in the vehicle and continued to punch her in the face with his right hand while steering the vehicle with his left hand."

According to the notes taken by Detective De Shon Andrews, blood filled Rihanna's mouth. Brown, 19, allegedly told her, "I'm going to beat the s--- out of you when we get home. You wait and see!" Rihanna called her assistant and left a message saying, "I am on my way home. Make sure the cops are there when I get there." The police notes say that prompted Brown to reply: "You just did the stupidest thing ever. Now I'm really going to kill you."

The report also says that Brown bit Rihanna and put her in a headlock, and that she almost lost consciousness.

"Brown resumed punching [Rihanna] and she interlocked her fingers behind her head and brought her elbows forward to protect her face," according to the notes. "She then bent over at the waist, placing her elbows and face near her lap in attempt to protect her face and head from the barrage of punches being levied upon her by Brown."

Eventually, Rihanna began screaming for help and Brown got out of the car, according to the notes. A nearby resident heard the calls for help and called 911.

Almost three weeks after the incident, the couple reunited in Miami Beach last week.

Chris Brown EXPLODES After Good Morning America Interview, Breaks Window, Storms Off Shirtless
March 22nd, 2011 11:07 AM by Free Britney

If Chris Brown ever wants to be remembered for something besides beating Rihanna, flying into a rage because people ask him about it won't help.

We've tried to temper our criticism of the guy, given that it's been two years since the assault took place. But his own actions make it impossible here.

Upset by on-air questions about Rihanna on Good Morning America, Brown lost it behind the scenes, smashing a window and storming off shirtless.

Just a few hours ago, Chris performed and was interviewed by Robin Roberts live from the Times Square studio when she asked about the Rihanna incident.

Brown tried to redirect questions to focus on his new album, F.A.M.E., but Roberts continued to ask about Chris' legal issues stemming from the attack.

After the interview, Brown absolutely freaked, storming into his dressing room and screaming so loud, the people in hair and makeup called security.

Brown was so out of control, he smashed a window with a chair in his dressing room, shattering the glass. Some shards fell onto 43rd and Broadway.

By the time security rushed in, Brown ripped off his shirt and peaced out, blowing off a second performance he was supposed to do for ABC's website.

On his way out, Brown also confronted a segment producer. He got in his face, but security got in between Chris and the producer to diffuse the situation.

Brown's probation for felony assault requires him to obey all laws. It remains to be seen if charges will be pressed after this debacle, but ... wow. Just wow.

An hour ago, after the fact, Brown Tweeted, "I'm so over people bringing this past s**t up!!! Yet we praise Charlie sheen and other celebs for there bulls**t."

He promptly deleted it, Tweeting instead: "All my fans!!! This album is for you and only you!! I'm so tired of everyone else!! Honestly!! I love team breezy!!"

While one can understand Chris' frustration in being asked to relive the events of February 2009 so often, get a freaking grip dude. Maybe then they'd stop.

Weapons meant for Pitt film seized in Hungary

By PABLO GORONDI - Associated Press | AP – 26 mins ago

BUDAPEST, Hungary (AP) — Nearly 100 weapons to be used in Brad Pitt's "World War Z" film were confiscated in Hungary because they had not been properly deactivated, authorities said Tuesday. The weapons included machine guns, rifles and pistols.

The weapons arrived from London to Budapest's Ferenc Liszt Airport on Saturday and were discovered at a nearby duty free zone, Janos Hajdu, head of Hungary's Counterterrorism Center, said. He said he could not confirm they were meant for the film.

"It's possible that all the weapons were brought in for the film, but this would not be allowed by Hungarian law," as the weapons had not been fully deactivated and could easily be used to fire live ammunition, Hajdu said on Neo FM radio. "This is a very complicated case."

Hajdu explained that in Hungary weapons were considered to be deactivated only if the process "was irreversible," while the weapons seized could still be fired even though screws had been used to fill the end of the barrels.

Bela Gajdos, a weapons supervisor for "World War Z," said Mafilm, a Hungarian film company based near Budapest which had the guns brought to Hungary, had the necessary permits, including a detailed list of the weapons in question, issued by local police authorities.

"We had all the permits in order for the weapons to be brought in," Gajdos told The Associated Press by phone. "They were brought in only for this film and are owned by a company in England."

In accordance with British regulations, the weapons were prepared to be used with blank ammunition, Gajdos said, while in Hungary the guns were considered to be "not suitably modified."

Gajdos said he had been questioned by government investigators and that his home in Budapest had been thoroughly searched by security forces before dawn Monday who also confiscated the permits.

Gajdos added that he had not been able to inspect the weapons before the police seized them, but that they would have been checked by him and a Hungarian forensic weapons expert before allowing their use in the film.

Adam Goodman, whose company is providing production services for "World War Z," said he had been advised not to comment on links between the seized weapons and the film.

"We are preparing as planned. We are not changing our schedule," Goodman told the AP. He added that media reports claiming the film set had been raided by police to confiscate the weapons were "not true."

I just read the movie spoiler plot summary for Real Steel, the new Hugh Jackman movie about fighting robots.

WARNING: SPOILER AHEAD!!!

............
............

Hugh Jackman's fighting robot does not win the final battle. My heart is broken. How can the hero's robot lose the final battle?

And this movie is from Disney. The kingdom of impossible dreams.

Shame on Disney, for the pain and suffering of Hugh Jackman's fighting robot. And for making the robot lose the final boxing match. Shame, I say!

I have decided to wait for the DVD, which is a lot cheaper than watching this at the movies.

That is why Officer Ron would have a strong weapon to use against Kelly for blackmail. Running a red light is small potatoes. I see cops breaking traffic laws all the time in our community. Who is going to be stupid enough to try to arrest a cop for breaking a traffic law? Does anyone think that a photograph of Kelly running a red light will provide much ammunition for blackmail?

But a sex change operation, even though it's legal, could have a strong negative social impact.

A simple example of what I think is the police breaking a traffic law: I see police (local sheriff and state police) cars and motorcycles parked off the side of the road on pedestrian walkways, or parked on islands (marked off sections of a road that you are not legally allowed to enter). They park there waiting to catch a passing car that has violated some traffic law. If you or I parked there, you or I would get a ticket. Edited on Oct 10, 2011, 03:24pm

Kelly was originally a man. But because of sex change operations and hormone replacement therapies, she is now legally (and more or less physically) a woman.

So Ron does not have to be that kinky to have a sexual relation with Kelly.

Ron would not be considered bi-sexual if he had a sexual relation with Kelly. But he would be considered an adulterer, since he is married and has a wife.

But in the real world, I don't think being married stops many cops from going after other women.

Regarding religion, and glib pop psychology: you can justify almost anything, as long as you say you are sorry.

Does this have anything to do with religion? I think so, because religion is supposed to be one of the backbones of morality, and how a person should behave. But if you have a smooth tongue, it sure helps when you get caught doing something wrong.

According to the brief article below, David Boreanaz states that marriage is "a sacred ground". So he implies that marriage is sacred because of religion, I assume. He admits that he had an affair while married. But he also states that "a demon that kind of comes out and overtakes you." So he is implying that it was the fault of the demon that he played around outside of his marriage, and not really his fault. That's my interpretation, anyway. He was merely weak and human. And now that it's past (his unfaithfulness), he's ready to go on as a stronger human being who has strengthened his marriage. Wonderful sentiment, but I wonder how many people will vomit trying to swallow the bullshit.

David Boreanaz: My 2010 Affair Strengthened My Marriage

US Magazine – 5 hours ago

David Boreanaz clearly believes in the power of positive thinking.

The actor, who came clean about cheating on wife Jaime Bergman with Rachel Uchitel in May 2010, tells TV Week that his affair has been "a bonding experience, in the long run."

"In a sacred ground like marriage, you find yourself out of it at certain times for reasons unknown that can be destructive," the 42-year-old actor explains. "There could be a demon that kind of comes out and overtakes you."

In any relationship, there are "fantastic" moments and "extremely rocky" moments, Boreanaz adds.

The New York native and Bergman, a former Playboy Playmate, wed in November 2001, just nine months after they met during a Valentine's Day party at the Playboy Mansion.

"Do I believe in giving up?" Boreanaz asks TV Week. "No, I don't. I'm a fighter. I'm a lover."

Bergman and Boreanz are parents to son Jaden, 9, and daughter Bella, 2.

And the followers of God who emphasize the negative or harsher qualities are the ones who seem to get the most press. Let's kill or at least punish the non-believers, the blasphemers, the deviants. We must cleanse this world as God meant us to.

I remember talking to a pastor back in the 1980s. At that time it was a popular belief that God had created AIDs to punish the wicked. And in his sermons, that pastor, who was a generous, nice, kind man, seemed to believe that AIDs was God's punishment for wicked behavior.

I didn't argue with the pastor's beliefs. But I didn't agree with him on this issue. Edited on Oct 09, 2011, 10:33am

I enjoyed Daniel Craig in his first James Bond movie, Casino Royale. But his second James Bond movie, Quantum of Solace, was too jumbled and choppy for me to like.

Quantum of Solace wasted two lovely ladies, Olga Kurylenko and Gemma Arterton. Casino Royale had a much smoother, better story and showcased Eva Green to real advantage. I realize the focus is on James Bond and the action and plot twists and turns. But the ladies are also an important factor in the Bond movies.

If Bond Number 23 is to be released a year from now, they better start hurrying up. Because these blockbuster movies seem to take a while to make. And the movie is listed as in pre-production. Pre-production can take years (or forever, when the movie doesn't ever get made).

Is 23rd James Bond Film Titled 'Skyfall'?
Access HollywoodAccess Hollywood – 22 hours ago

The next chapter in the James Bond series - the 23rd movie - reportedly has a title.

According to Fusible.com, MGM and Sony Pictures registered a slew of website domains using the title, "Skyfall," on October 3.

The new domains come after a handful of other web addresses were secured in August using the same title.

The plot details for the next Bond adventure remain a mystery, but Daniel Craig, who debuted as the sauve agent in 2006's "Casino Royale" and then appeared again in 2008's "Quantum of Solace," will reprise the title role and Judi Dench returns as M.

Javier Bardem and Ralph Fiennes have also been mentioned as possible co-stars.

The next James Bond film is slated to hit theaters in November 2012.

Tower Heist is a new action-comedy film with Ben Still and Eddie Murphy that will be released in movie theaters November 4th. But there is a plan to pre-release it on VOD (Video On Demand), where you can pay $60 to watch it in your own home three weeks after its theatrical release. This would be a test marketing, where the VOD would be available to Comcast subscribers in two cities, Atlanta and Portland.

Personally, I'm not going to pay even $9 to watch this movie in a theater. And I'm not a Comcast subscriber, or in Atlanta or Portland. So I won't be paying $60 to watch it in the comfort of my own home.

Maybe I will pay $1 for the Redbox DVD, when that becomes available. Or maybe not.

But you have to give people in the movie business credit: They are always looking for ways to make more money off of people. But that's not the explanation they use. They call it trying to expand or improve the movie watching experience.

Sixty Bucks for Tower Heist Is Just Too Cheap For Theater Chain
By Will Leitch | The Projector 2 hours 1 minute ago

We're not sure this is precisely the type of pre-release publicity that Brett Ratner and company would want for "Tower Heist" -- it's never the best when much of the discussion surrounding the rollout of your product is an oddly specific discussion of its worth and financial value -- but boy, "Tower Heist" is everywhere. Ever since Ben Fritz at the LA Times broke the story that Universal would release the film on demand three weeks after its initial release for $60 -- 60 dollars! 60! -- the whole industry has been all agog. What does this mean? Does this signal a change in direction for movie release schedules? How is this going to play out? For God's sake, what is with that dog?

Theater chains being as they are, they're upset by the whole deal. To the point that one of them, Cinemark, is planning on boycotting the movie all together.

"Cinemark has urged Universal Pictures to reconsider its market test of this product," Cinemark said in a statement. "If Universal Pictures moves forward with its Tower Heist premium video-on-demand offering, as announced, Cinemark has determined, in its best business interests, that it will decline to exhibit this film in its theaters."

We know that Cinemark is trying to take a stand against Video On Demand in general, as opposed to this specific case, but still: As a consumer, it's pretty amazing to see a theater chain bucking this, rather than, you know, the people expected to pay the 60 bucks. What price would have been all right for Cinemark? We're legitimately curious. $100? $4,000? $8,000? An appendage? It might be an appendage. They would show "Tower Heist" in their theaters if it cost people an appendage to watch it (three weeks after it's out!). As long as they could still buy murderous obesity popcorn, of course.

..........................
..........................

Edit01: I just saw that the proposed charge for the VOD would be $59.99, and not $60. But the blogger/article writer rounded the amount off to $60.

Anyone here willing to pay $59.99 for the VOD of this movie? Edited on Oct 07, 2011, 12:25pm

Orgasms.xxx is apparently a new site started sometime this year. Hardcore videos and photos, but with the sensual style of X-Art. The preview is extremely limited, giving just brief flashes from different videos. But it does have model pages in the preview, and many of the models are familiar: Ariel, Bijou, Caprice, Eufrat...

Orlando Bloom admits he likes to walk around in high heels. Is that why he married a supermodel, Miranda Kerr, so he wouldn't have to buy his own heels? Do Orlando and his wife wear the same size in shoes, so they can switch off?

I still don't know if I'm going to see The Three Musketeers in 3D. I don't like 3D, but I do like Milla Jovovich. The movie will be out Oct 21 in the U.S.

...........
...........

AP Interview: Orlando Bloom likes being a bad guy

LONDON (AP) — He's been a pirate and an elf prince, but now Orlando Bloom is stepping away from the swords and leaving the swashbuckling to others in "The Three Musketeers in 3D."

After playing the good guy in both the "Pirates of the Caribbean" and "The Lord of the Rings" film series, the British actor is getting in touch with his nastier side for the latest big screen adaptation of Alexandre Dumas' historical novel.

He plays the cunning Duke of Buckingham, an English nobleman who likes to stir things up at the French court of King Louis.

This time, Bloom was pleased to let his co-stars — Matthew Macfadyen, Ray Stevenson, Luke Evans playing Athos, Porthos and Aramis — take the glory.

"They're like the superheroes of their time and they get all the cool stuff and I get to totter around on a pair of heels, but it was exactly what I wanted to do," said Bloom.

Bloom is married to Miranda Kerr, has an 8-month-old son Flynn and claims his family is bit like the three Musketeers, whose motto is "one for all and all for one."

Paul W.S. Anderson's movie "The Three Musketeers in 3D" opens in the U.K. on Wednesday.

The Associated Press sat down with a cleanly shaven Bloom to find out how much fun he had being bad.

___

AP: What did you enjoy most about being the Duke of Buckingham?

Bloom: The hair, a bit of (mus)'tache twizzling, the high heels and the bloomers. The whole nine yards.

AP: Not the lines as well?

Bloom: Yeah I had a couple of dastardly lines. It was quite fun.

AP: Did you really enjoy being kind of bad?

Bloom: Kind of bad is a good way of putting it. He's a bit of a bad boy. He's a rake, he's a rogue isn't he? He's a cad. And that was a lot of fun. ... this was just a romp. Stick your tongue in your cheek and go big or go home.

AP: How do you feel about watching yourself in 3D?

Bloom: I'm wondering if the pompadour quiff is going to take anyone's eye out. I thought it was a bit of a secret weapon, I should have had a sword in there.

AP: Is this the type of film you'd want to take your son to see?

Bloom: Yes, I think so. I mean he's eight months, so not yet perhaps. I'm not sure he'd appreciate it but he might — he'd marvel at the explosions and stuff.

AP: If you could form your own Musketeers ... who would you pick?

Bloom: There's a couple of my mates, since I was like 11 or 12, we were always called The Musketeers - Mark, Gibbo and Gibbo. We are the Musketeers, see. But I've also got a family now, that's a bit like The Three Musketeers.

Steve Jobs dies

ABC News – 14 mins ago

By NED POTTER and COLLEEN CURRY

Steve Jobs, the mastermind behind Apple's iPhone, iPad, iPod, iMac and iTunes, has died, Apple said. Jobs was 56.

"We are deeply saddened to announce that Steve Jobs passed away today," read a statement by Apple's board of directors. "Steve's brilliance, passion and energy were the source of countless innovations that enrich and improve all of our lives. The world is immeasurably better because of Steve. His greatest love was for his wife, Laurene, and his family. Our hearts go out to them and to all who were touched by his extraordinary gifts."

The homepage of Apple's website this evening switched to a full-page image of Jobs with the text, "Steve Jobs 1955-2011."

Clicking on the image revealed the additional text: "Apple has lost a visionary and creative genius, and the world has lost an amazing human being. Those of us who have been fortunate enough to know and work with Steve have lost a dear friend and an inspiring mentor. Steve leaves behind a company that only he could have built, and his spirit will forever be the foundation of Apple."

Jobs co-founded Apple Computer in 1976 and, with his childhood friend Steve Wozniak, marketed what was considered the world's first personal computer, the Apple II.

Shortly after learning of Jobs' death, Wozniak told ABC News, "I'm shocked and disturbed."
Industry watchers called him a master innovator -- perhaps on a par with Thomas Edison -- changing the worlds of computing, recorded music and communications.

In 2004, he beat back an unusual form of pancreatic cancer, and in 2009 he was forced to get a liver transplant. After several years of failing health, Jobs announced on Aug. 24, 2011 that he was stepping down as Apple's chief executive.

"I have always said if there ever came a day when I could no longer meet my duties and expectations as Apple's CEO, I would be the first to let you know," Jobs wrote in his letter of resignation. "Unfortunately, that day has come."

One of the world's most famous CEOs, Jobs remained stubbornly private about his personal life, refusing interviews and shielding his wife and their children from public view.

"He's never been a media person," said industry analyst Tim Bajarin, president of Creative Strategies, after Jobs resigned. "He's granted interviews in the context of product launches, when it benefits Apple, but you never see him talk about himself."

The highlights of Jobs's career trajectory are well-known: a prodigy who dropped out of Reed College in Oregon and, at 21, started Apple with Wozniak in his parents' garage. He was a multimillionaire by 25, appeared on the cover of Time magazine at 26, and was ousted at Apple at age 30, in 1984.

In the years that followed, he went into other businesses, founding NeXT computers and, in 1986, buying the computer graphics arm of Lucasfilm, Ltd., which became Pixar Animation Studios.

He was described as an exacting and sometimes fearsome leader, ordering up and rejecting multiple versions of new products until the final version was just right. He said the design and aesthetics of a device were as important as the hardware and software inside.

In 1996, Apple, which had struggled without Jobs, brought him back by buying NeXT. He became CEO in 1997 and put the company on a remarkable upward path.

By 2001 the commercial music industry was on its knees because digital recordings, copied and shared online for free, made it unnecessary for millions of people to buy compact discs.

Jobs took advantage with the iPod -- essentially a pocket-sized computer hard drive with elegantly simple controls and a set of white earbuds so that one could listen to the hours of music one saved on it. He set up the iTunes online music store, and persuaded major recording labels to sell songs for 99 cents each. No longer did people have to go out and buy a CD if they liked one song from it. They bought a digital file and stored it in their iPod.

In 2007, he transformed the cell phone. Apple's iPhone, with its iconic touch screen, was a handheld computer, music player, messaging device, digital wallet and -- almost incidentally -- cell phone. Major competitors, such as BlackBerry, Nokia and Motorola, struggled after it appeared.

By 2010, Apple's new iPad began to cannibalize its original business, the personal computer. The iPad was a sleek tablet computer with a touch screen and almost no physical buttons. It could be used for almost anything software designers could conceive, from watching movies to taking pictures to leafing through a virtual book.

Personal life

Jobs kept a close cadre of friends, Bajarin said, including John Lasseter of Pixar and Larry Ellison of Oracle, but beyond that, shared very little of his personal life with anyone.

But that personal life -- he was given up at birth for adoption, had an illegitimate child, was romantically linked with movie stars -- was full of intrigue for his fan base and Apple consumers.

Jobs and his wife, Laurene Powell, were married in a small ceremony in Yosemite National Park in 1991, lived in Woodside, Calif., and had three children: Reed Paul, Erin Sienna and Eve.

He admitted that when he was 23, he had a child out of wedlock with his high school girlfriend, Chris Ann Brennan. Their daughter, Lisa Brennan Jobs, was born in 1978.

He had a biological sister, Mona Simpson, the author of such well-known books as "Anywhere But Here." But he did not meet Simpson until they were adults and he was seeking out his birth parents. Simpson later wrote a book based on their relationship. She called it "A Regular Guy."

Fortune magazine reported that Jobs denied paternity of Lisa for years, at one point swearing in a court document that he was infertile and could not have children. According to the report, Chris Ann Brennan collected welfare for a time to support the child until Jobs later acknowledged Lisa as his daughter.
There were other personal details that emerged over the years, as well.

At Reed, Jobs became romantically involved with the singer Joan Baez, according to Elizabeth Holmes, a friend and classmate. In "The Second Coming of Steve Jobs," Holmes tells biographer Alan Deutschman that Jobs broke up with his serious girlfriend to "begin an affair with the charismatic singer-activist." Holmes confirmed the details to ABC News.

Jobs' health and Apple's health

Enigmatic and charismatic, Jobs said little about himself. But then his body began to fail him.
In 2004, he was forced to say publicly he had a rare form of pancreatic cancer. In 2009, it was revealed that he had quietly gone to a Memphis hospital for a liver transplant.

He took three medical leaves from Apple. He did not share details.

In 2009, sources said, members of Apple's board of directors had to persuade him to disclose more about his health as "a fiduciary issue," interwoven with the health of the company.

He was listed in March as 109th on the Forbes list of the world's billionaires, with a net worth of about $8.3 billion. After selling Pixar animation studios to The Walt Disney Company in 2006, he became a Disney board member and the company's largest shareholder. Disney is the parent company of ABC News.

Analysts said Apple performed well during Jobs' absence, partly because he was available for big decisions and partly because his chief lieutenant, Tim Cook, was the hands-on manager even when Jobs was there.

The company has a history of bouncing back. In January 2009, after he announced his second medical leave, Apple stock dropped to $78.20 per share. But it quickly recovered and became one of the most successful stocks on Wall Street. On one day in the summer of 2011, with the stock hitting the $400 level, Apple briefly passed ExxonMobil as the world's most valuable company.

Blackmail. Threaten to expose some secret in Kelly's past. For example:

Kelly was formerly a transsexual man who had sex change operations and hormone replacement therapies to become a woman. That changeover was not illegal, but she failed to list those operations on her employment application to become a police officer (a medical history is required as part of the application). And since this is a redneck, backwoods community, Kelly would be regarded with distrust and repugnance for the sex change by her fellow officers, making it impossible to carry out her duties.

Officer Ron would not only gain a massive porn stash, he would also gain a sex slave in the form of officer Kelly. A win-win situation for the lucky Ron. And Kelly, would also be winner, because she would gain the masterful lover she had been searching for all her/his life.

Kelly is only straight-laced on the surface. But like so many people, what lies beneath the surface can be very different.

Perhaps this is an unfair comment: But there are times movie stars make comments without thinking about them very much. Or, if the comments are sincere, it indicates a thought process that is far removed from normal reality:

Johnny Depp has made an estimated $300 million on the Pirates of the Carribean movies alone. Now he says he doesn't need the money. He's really taking the money for his two kids. So I guess he thinks it takes more than $300 million to support his two kids. Otherwise they might have to go on welfare or something.

I think it makes sense for him to say he's going to take the money if it's offered to him. But to say that the money is really going to his two kids seems a little extreme. Granted, he probably won't spend a fraction of that money before he dies. But to say that this money is for his two kids just seems a little strange, to me.

............
............

Johnny Depp says he's overpaid to star in Pirates of the Caribbean, for which he's reportedly earned more than $300 million.

“Basically, if they’re going to pay me the stupid money right now, I’m going to take it,” Depp tells the November issue of Vanity Fair. "I have to. I mean, it’s not for me. Do you know what I mean? At this point, it’s for my kids. It’s ridiculous, yeah, yeah. But ultimately is it for me? No. No. It’s for the kids.”

Depp, 48, has two children, Lilly-Rose, 12 and Jack, 9, with partner Vanessa Paradis, 38.

But he also tells the magazine that there's "a part of me that needs to have this kind of stimulation to the brain."

He's come a long way from attending Scientology gatherings for $3 a meeting. “I went to a bunch, man. It was so great, it was so fantastic," he tells Vanity Fair.

He's excited about his next project, The Rum Diary, which hits theaters on Oct. 28. He was researching his 1998 movie Fear and Loathing in Las Vegas with Hunter S. Thompson when they discovered the manuscript for The Rum Diary in Thompson's basement.

"I pulled it out. I was like ‘What is this?’ Hunter was like, “Oh, s--t, The Rum Diary ... Hunter didn’t know it was there," Depp says.

Depp still holds a grudge against Harvey Weinstein for putting 2004's The Libertine out in limited release.

"He made a choice to kill it, Harvey killed a great film," says Depp.

Depp also talks to the magazine about posing for photoshoots.

"Well, you just feel like you’re being raped somehow. Raped ... It feels like a kind of weird -- just weird, man," says the actor, who doesn't mind posing with fans. "But whenever you have a photo shoot or something like that, it’s like -- you just feel dumb. It’s just so stupid.”

I've said it before: the movie business is a business. Cash is king. Yes, they talk about artistic merit and whatnot, but bottom line, there is major interest in how much money they can make.

Ex-model who ate husband's body parts still a threat, D.A. says
October 4, 2011 | 7:19 am

Orange County prosecutors plan to argue at a parole hearing Wednesday that an ex-model convicted of killing her husband and then cooking and eating parts of his body two decades ago has not reformed and should remain behind bars.

Omaima Nelson is seeking early release from California Central Women's Prison, where she is serving 27 years to life after being found guilty of second-degree murder in the death of William E. Nelson.

Nelson claimed she was a victim of domestic violence, a claim prosecutors and, ultimately, jurors rejected.

Prosecutors said Nelson has a pattern of violence toward men. She was convicted of assaulting a former boyfriend, Robert Hannson of Huntington Beach, in 1990 by tying him up and demanding money at gunpoint.

She also bit a security guard's breast and has had several run-ins while in prison, though she has kept out of trouble since 2006, when she was last denied early release, said Orange County Senior Deputy Dist. Atty. Randolph J. Pawloski

Prosecutors also stated that she has not taken advantage of prison self-help programs, failed to admit to drug and alcohol problems, has a callous disregard for others and remains a risk to the community.

"She should be kept in prison for the maximum denial period," Pawloski said.

I think Milla Jovivich is gorgeous and sexy, and I loved her in The Fifth Element.

Also enjoyed watching her in the early Resident Evil movies (the later ones are getting a little repetitious).

The 3 Musketeers in 3D is coming out.

I don't like 3D (it's expensive, and I get eye strain from the 3D glasses). So I will wait for the DVD, probably. Also, I'm not enthusiastic about the way the action has been updated with the fancy fighting and super-advanced weaponry. The old style fighting with swords seemed plenty good enough for me. And the plot and characters have been "updated" and re-imagined and I don't think it's an improvement over the original story. I haven't seen the movie, obviously, but I've seen a number of trailers and read some articles on the movie.

Also, and this might seem crazy, but I don't want the Milla Jovovich character to die. If there is going to be a re-imagining, I want her to ride off into the sunset to plot her comeback and revenge against her enemies. She is too lovely to die. Too powerful to die. Too sexy to die.

Oops, I was planning on waiting for the $1 Redbox DVD anyway, but from this review, it seems even $1 might be too much to pay to see this one.

On second thought, the reviewer does a real hatchet job. He comes across as just plain nasty and mean-spirited.

I will be waiting for the $1 Redbox DVD, after all.

Review: Jackman's 'Real Steel' is scrap metal
By DAVID GERMAIN - AP Movie Writer | AP – 1 hr 19 mins ago

"Real Steel" dresses up a bad idea — robots boxing — with all the computer effects and heavy-metal action that Hollywood can buy. But that doesn't cover up the fact that it's a bad idea. Really bad.

And "Real Steel" is a really bad movie, with some embarrassingly awful moments for Hugh Jackman, whose silly Wolverine whiskers in the "X-Men" flicks seem quite distinguished compared to the outlandish trappings here.

A horribly predictable mash-up of "Rocky," ''The Champ" and Rock 'Em Sock 'Em Robots, "Real Steel" puts director Shawn Levy (the "Night at the Museum" movies) in contention with fellow robot handler Michael Bay for the title of worst blockbuster filmmaker in show business.

With a team of executive producers that includes Steven Spielberg and Robert Zemeckis, Levy has all the resources a director could ever want. It all goes toward punishing noise and machine mayhem, the fight scenes stitched together by the humdrum drama of an annoying deadbeat dad connecting with his annoying young son.

Jackman's Charlie Kenton is an ex-boxer scraping by in the near future as a promoter of brawling robots, which have taken over the sport from human fighters. Charlie's on the seedy side of boxing, his secondhand 'bots trading punches at fairgrounds and other unsanctioned venues while the big boys duke it out in televised league fights at huge arenas.

A sleazebag who's built a life on skipping out on his debts and responsibilities, Charlie suddenly finds himself on the road with his 11-year-old son, Max (Dakota Goyo), after the boy's mother dies.

Short on cash and needing a new robot, Charlie heads to the junkyard to pilfer parts so he can piece together a new fighter. There, Max stumbles on Atom, an outdated sparring robot that turns out to be a diamond in the rough, a scrappy machine that becomes a sensation on the fight circuit.

From there, the drama as developed by screenwriter John Gatins and two others who share story credit goes just where you expect it to, without a ripple of surprise or originality. Father and son squawk and fight, find common ground and gradually make their way toward becoming a family, while Atom gets an underdog shot against the world champion.

It's pretty nauseating, though not as nauseating as some of the images of Jackman shadow boxing outside the ring during the climactic match. He looks quite the fool doing it, capping an uneven performance in which Jackman generally is out-acted by the robots. Jackman is overly eager at the start to show how slimy Charlie is, and that makes the guy's abrupt transformation into father-of-the-year material all the more unconvincing.

Goyo overdoes it, too, his earnestness growing tiresome and eventually cloying by the time Max becomes a ringside idol himself for his dance routines alongside Atom.

The rest of the cast is thrown in as spare parts: Evangeline Lilly as a robot mechanic and Charlie's sometime love interest; Anthony Mackie as a bookie and fight organizer; Hope Davis as an aunt aiming to adopt Max; and Kevin Durand as a rival fight promoter.

None of the humans have anything interesting to do. The robots are the stars. Life-size versions of some robots were built for the actors to perform with, while the fight scenes were created using human boxers whose movements were digitally recorded as the basis for the computer-animated robots' motions (Sugar Ray Leonard helped choreograph the fights).

The bouts are deafening and bruising, more like demolition derbies than sporting events. It's hard to buy into the notion that fans could ever be as rabid to watch a couple of machines tear each other apart as they are to see two men sweating and straining and bleeding on the canvas. Without human consequence, where's the drama?

"People wanted more carnage, more show," Charlie says, explaining why robots replaced people in the ring. The metallic carnage of "Real Steel" rings hollow, though.

The filmmakers took the basic idea of robot boxers from a short story by "I Am Legend" author Richard Matheson, which previously was made into an episode of "The Twilight Zone".

The only advancement "Real Steel" brings is production values. Hollywood robots have come a long way since that quaint old black-and-white show. Storytelling, not so much.

"Real Steel," a DreamWorks release distributed by Disney, is rated PG-13 for some violence, intense action and brief language. Running time: 127 minutes. One and a half stars out of four.

After considering whether zombies breathe, I turned my attention to vampires, which I actually like more than zombies.

Do vampires breathe?

In some books vampires breathe. In other books they don't need to breathe (since they are undead).

Actually, I have seen some movies where a person's head was cut off at the neck, so the head would have no connection to the lungs. And the head continued to speak or scream. How can you speak or scream without any lungs? In the normal world, you would not be able to. But in the world of movies, you can observe strange phenomena taking place.

There's supposed to be a zombie movie with Brad Pitt that will be coming out. But in case that's not enough for all us zombie-freaks, here's the newest possible zombie movie that might be made.

PS: I'm holding my breath until its development and release. Or do zombies breathe?

Wait. I found the answer on Yahoo, the source of all knowledge:
"of course...how else do they make those groaning noises"

But I also found a second answer, that I thought was pretty good, but this answer received 0 votes, so it was not a popular answer:
"Just a second, I'll check my wife."

Zombie video game to become film
By Joshua L. Weinstein | Reuters – Tue, Sep 27, 2011

LOS ANGELES (TheWrap.com) - Lionsgate has optioned the rights to "Dead Island," a video game that became a sensation when its trailer was released, the company announced Tuesday.

The studio bought the rights from Deep Silver.

The "Dead Island" trailer was released in February and immediately went viral on the Internet. It is graphic, dramatic, gory -- and cinematic. The story is about a father, armed with an ax, who tries to protect his family from invading zombies.

The trailer got more than a million hits in its first 24 hours online and nearly 10 million over two days.

According to Lionsgate, the game "centers on vacationers whose island paradise becomes a living hell when a zombie outbreak quickly spreads. Cut off from the rest of the world, the survivors have only the available materials and the island's natural "weapons" to protect themselves from the vicious and growing legions of the undead."

As TheWrap reported in February, Sean Daniel ("The Mummy," "Tombstone," "Dazed and Confused") is developing the project through his SeanDaniel Company. Earlier, Daniel was working with Union Entertainment on the project.

Stefan Sonnenfeld also is producing.

Alli Shearmur, Lionsgate's President of Motion Picture Production and Development is overseeing the project at the studio, with Jim Miller, senior vice president of Production and Development.

In truth, I am not real big on zombie movies. I did like Zombieland, the action/comedy with Woody Harrelson, but I skip most zombie movies, even on DVD.

Playboy - Erotic Fantasies (1992)
Rated: X | Format: DVD
Amazon price $9.99

Playboy - Corporate Fantasy
Rated: R | Format: DVD
Amazon price 5 new from $4.69

Those are DVDs. I don't know if you can join some internet site to download those DVDs, which might be cheaper if you want to download a bunch of them. A DVD site would hopefully offer a wide selection of these titles. But many of the DVD sites might not offer this type of selection because it's probably too softcore to appeal to their audience.

I would guess that these Playboy videos have a strong romantic flavor to them. Whether they actually have a story with plot and whatnot, I don't know. And how explicit the sex is, I don't know. Because my understanding is that Playboy was basically softcore.

Not Playboy, but what would be considered softcore by many PU members:

This review is from: Sinful Temptations (DVD)
Claudia (Susan Featherly) and Blake run a modeling agency. Nicole (Mia Zottoli) wants to be a model. Nicole is married. Claudia bets Blake that she can get Nicole to cheat on her husband. Does this sound familiar? Dangerous Liaisons? Cruel Intentions? Okay, the plot is a just little different, but this one's better, because unlike those movies this one has lots and lots of explicit sex.

There are ten sex scenes, which is pretty good for a running time of about 85 minutes. The first one starts up right at the opening credits and then there's a steady stream of sex scenes and female skin throughout the entire film. Eight of the scenes are boy/girl, one is boy/girl/girl, and one is girl/girl. Mia Zottoli and Susan Featherly are the main attractions in the film and have three excellent scenes each. The rest of the women are plenty nice to look at too and do a good job in their scenes.

This is easy to recommend.

I haven't watched any Playboy videos in many years. And I only saw a couple of them from years ago. But I seem to remember that they were softcore sex, with a lot of romantic prelude of handsome man and female before they have sex, which was strictly softcore.

I don't know if Playboy is still cranking out that type of video. But you might look into it. I am not talking about the centerfold videos, or the internet model of the week videos. I am talking about their sex/romance videos which were strictly softcore.

I actually bought one or two laser discs, even though I never bought a laser disc player. I lost those discs a long time ago. They had music videos on them.

The notion of storing your porn on vinyl sounds interesting. Do you get a blue buzz when listening to the photos and videos in playback? That sounds like a sure money-maker, to me. Lol.

Utah theater fined for showing "Hangover II" movie
By JOSH LOFTIN - Associated Press | AP – 5 hrs ago

SALT LAKE CITY (AP) — A Utah movie theater that serves liquor has been fined more than $1,600 for showing "The Hangover Part II."

The fine issued by the state liquor board Thursday is the first for Brewvies, which only allows people 21 years and older to attend their movies and serves food and liquor to patrons. But under state law, many PG-13 and R-rated movies could net the theater a fine because of prohibitions on showing a film with sex acts, full-frontal nudity or even the "caressing" of breasts or buttocks.

While the fine for the first offense was $1,627, repeat offenders may be fined up to $25,000 and lose their liquor license for up to 10 days.

The law is generally used to regulate strip clubs, which aren't permitted to have nude dancers — g-strings and pasties are required to be worn — if they serve liquor. The law is applied only to businesses with liquor licenses, so it wouldn't apply to alcohol-free theaters.

Utah Highway Patrol officers issued the citation against Brewvies in early September after a complaint was filed with the Department of Alcoholic Beverage Control.

The movie was in violation because of multiple scenes, patrol spokesman Dwayne Baird said. "Hangover II" includes full-frontal nudity from male, female and transvestite characters and also has a scene showing a monkey simulating a sex act on a monk.

Brewvies manager Andy Murphy told The Salt Lake Tribune they have always complied with the state's liquor laws, and "don't want to shake up anything."

Brewvies got a state liquor license in 2009 that allowed patrons to have wine and mixed drinks. The theater has been open since 1997, but served lower-alcohol beers that only required approval by the city government.

The liquor board established the fine amount for such violations, and there wasn't leeway in the amount for Brewvies, department director Francine Giani said, adding that she's planning to urge the board to revisit their fine schedule.

If the internal drives are really 1 GB and 2 GB (not 1 TB and 2 TB), that would seem like a nightmare in the number of hard drives you have to keep (and the record keeping to keep track of what is on the hard drives).

Was the 1 and 2 GB a typo, and you meant TB instead?

Files sizes (for both videos and photos) keep growing. You need larger and larger hard drives to store these files.

I just bought a 3 TB external hard drive 3 days ago. A few years ago, I thought my 500 GB external hard drive would last for years. That was before I bought the 1 TB and the 2 TB hard drives. Now I'm buying 3 TB hard drives, partly because the price keeps dropping, but mainly because the file size keeps growing.

That video at hulu is really informative. I already knew porn was big business (billions of dollars in the U.S. alone), but this video shows that some of the porn site owners are real businessmen, not just hucksters for porn.

But there is still a huge stigma for the models who work in porn.

Not sure if this is movie news, but this girl (Hugh Hefner's former playmate) is almost certainly in a bunch of videos that were put out by Playboy.

If she were featured lead role in a movie, I doubt I'd watch it. Even for free. I'm not real big on implants.

Holly Madison Insures Breasts for $1 Million

Girls Next Door star Holly Madison has insured her breasts for $1 million. The former Playboy cover subject says the Lloyd's of London contract will give her peace of mind while starring in the Planet Hollywood Las Vegas revue Peepshow.

Madison told People, "I've heard about people getting body parts insured and I thought, 'why not?,' because if anything happened to my boobs, I'd be out for a few months and I'd probably be out a million dollars. I thought I'd cover my assets."

Madison appears topless in the Vegas show, which charges $66-$126 a ticket before fees and taxes.

She also takes the concept of insuring her breasts in stride, "I think it's kind of funny. I think they're getting the credit they deserve."

She says, "They're my primary money makers right now."

Madison has admitted to surgically enhancing her breasts in 2001 to their present D-cup status. She competed on Dancing With the Stars in 2009 and is prepping a new reality series about her life in Las Vegas, notes her website.

Her first claim to fame was as one of Hugh Hefner's live-in girlfriends.

firstbgg dot com appears to be the newest Royal Cash/S&S Royal Limited site. This one concentrates on 1 boy + 2 girls sex.

I doubt I will be doing a review anytime soon, because it probably requires direct access instead of teen mega world membership. Edited by Staff on Oct 01, 2011, 06:54am (Khan: Khan's fat fingers)

Somehow, I don't think PU members go to a lot of movies. Or even watch a lot of movies on DVD or streaming or cable. At least judging by the number of PU members that post on this movie thread.

It looks like they are more fixated on straight porn. I like porn, but I think the movies can be enjoyable as well, at times.

I thought the new Hugh Jackman movie about fighting robots was a bad idea, when I saw the first video. But since then, I've seen a couple more advertising videos/trailers for the movie. I'm not real big on the kid angle, but I think the movie might be OK. I don't know about paying movie theater prices. I think I'll wait for the DVD to come out. Redbox for $1 is great.
