not to start any kind of fight, but movie companies have been using aspect ratios larger than 4:3 for decades. I'm no film historian or anything, but I believe most movies starting in the 70s were shot in 2.4:1 panavision. I'm sure there are some films that have been shot in 4:3, but I doubt it is very many. Just because a movie was 4:3 when it originally came out on VHS or Betamax or whatever doesn't mean that was the aspect ratio that it was shot in.
You have it a bit backwards, in that most films were "pan and scanned" to fit the 4:3 aspect ratios of televisions, the widescreen releases of older films are not cropping the original film, they are actually returning to something closer to the orginal aspect ratio, it is the 4:3 film that has been cropped.
In fact Blu-rays of modern movies still have black bars on the top and bottom because they are preserving the original aspect ratio which is greater than 16:9. A full screen HD hollywood movie has likely still been cropped to conform to 16x9, although somewhat less than it would have to be for 4:3.
I looked around for a bit for a resource on this and this is the closest I could find:
http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Aspect_ratio_(image)
They even note Ben Hur was shot in 2.76:1 - crazy-ass widescreen. doubt they'll be releasing TVs in that ratio anytime soon...
Sorry for the longwinded response, no disrespect, just trying to clarify.

prefer 16x7 for porn, just cause most of my gear is in that aspect ratio. For "real" movies it has to be widescreen, particularly with any kind of action or scenic movie. Pan and scan just doesn't work for me in those types of films.

a friend of mine swears he saw porn playing on the TV of some SUV in bumper-to-bumper traffic.

The company is paying for the network and bandwidth, so they can do whatever they want I suppose. Unless you work in certain industries, I don't think allowing people to look at porn on their computers during business hours is a great idea - especially in a cubicle environment!
Although some companies take it a bit far, mine blocks ESPN, the Onion, and many other not-so-offensive sites, even during lunch!

I once saw a guy on a plane reading a Hustler, and he wasn't trying to hide it. I can sort of understand Playboy, as it actually used to be funny sometimes, but Hustler in an aisle seat? I'm sure if you looked carefully you could catch someone looking at porn on their iPad or something.

users should be able to give a site whatever score they think is appropriate. If the place only has 5 scenes, but they are all excellent and the user feels it was worth it, why shouldn't they be able to score it well?

Yeah, I would fix it myself, although all my porn is on an external drive unless I am actively downloading.
I recently started getting the good ole BSOD in Win7, been too lazy to try and fix it so far, loves me some Microsoft.

Totally agree with BadMrFrosty, I also would have voted indifferent, if given the option. Not typically the part of the scene I focus on anyways.

If someone thinks a site is excellent they should have the ability to rate is as such, I'm probably a bit too nitpicky to score a site 100, but that doesn't mean you shouldn't be allowed to.

if it the former i'd say school as i actually had a decent sex ed class in high school, as for the latter i'd probably say non-porn internet. so i said other...

dump her. withholding sex is manipulative as is, doing it out of spite just makes it that much worse (as pat362 pointed out).
its one thing to have sex less frequently with a partner over time (naturaly), this is a whole other animal.

If someone writes a decent review, I typically trust them right away, if it is an iffy review I will wait and see if they post anything else. I agree with BadMrFrosty that giving newbies trust ratings helps motivate them to post more reviews as it helps them feel appreciated and like they fit in, certainly nothing wrong with that.

I agree with pat362, anything but porn - probably just generic bullshit, and perhaps even politics if the conversation was headed a more intellectual route (one can always hope, right?)

Nope, but there are way too many that do! I still hear bozos talk about how nudity in art is too sexual for kids to see - it is the human form jackass!
Edit: the jackass was directed at the bozos I spoke of, not the pollster.

Not really a fan of BJ scenes either, angles are always bad and don't really get to see the body usually. Strip first would be best though, I suppose.

Agree with pat, I think the "star" part is a bit overused, but I am always in for more hardcore performers - provided they don't have stupid tats or ridiculous fake parts...

As many have said, probably not a discussion worth joining - I'd probably shrug my shoulders and walk away unless I were particularly drunk and they were being particularly obnoxious about it.

? I must not browse enough porn, as I can only think of having seen this a couple of times. Are there sites dedicated to this activity, how long do they keep them up there? Do they tie a string to 'em tampon-style so they don't get stuck?
