The site is really excellent! You can download selected scenes of a DVD/movie. The only disadvantage is that there is no exclusive content! There is also less fetish content available. But for the huge variety of DVDs its an awesome site. It's like you go to a porn-DVD-shop in reality - no... Videobox is even better because the sorting and filtering of movies and scenes is great! Another fact is that the price is very low for the huge amount (nearly 4000 DVDs at the moment) of movies. What's also amazing? The sorting of movies by pornstar - You can easily find specific DVDs of your favourite pornstar. Every day there are five updates - there is a timer on the main site how long it takes until the next release. At the end i have to say that this site is the best site in his class! |

The movies come form a large range of different categories, to different studios. I'm sure that any porn user will find something that the enjoy on this site.
Videobox has one of the best search engines I've seen, making it very easy to find, the certain title of a movie, porn star and category.
Downloading the videos are made easy, each scene in the dvd is spit up, you just click and download. Download speeds for me have been fairly quick.
Videobox cons are not even noticeable, this is great site if you are going to try out a pay site or if you just want a nice selection porn to download. This is a well made site offering tons of content for a low price. Videobox has set the bar high for pay porn sites. |

I was disappointed with this site, perhaps it doesn't quite live up to the hype? Having watched it maintain the top spot on so many porn review sites I was really looking forward to a month or two's subscription. Whilst the site undoubtedly provides a huge archive of material at relatively low cost without any nasty DRM, I found myself really having to search to find stuff worth the disk space to download.
You wont have wasted your money if you subscribe to this site, but if you like high quality freshly released porn, don't expect the porn pleasure dome so many other reviewers seem to think they have found. |

Extremely valuable site and a must have for any serious porn user. The download speeds will keep your internet connection pegged. The offer different download packages and prices based on quality of download. Pay more for the dvd quality, you wont be sorry. Also, consider the long term package, it will save you money in the long run since you wont want to leave this site!
Downloading on this site is very easy. They do not seem to limit the amount of connections and they do support pausing downloads.
The bit rates for the videos here do vary a bit. They are usually around 5 MBit/s but I have seen some newer videos at nearly 12 MBit/s. 12 is a bit excessive, even the videos at 6-8 look great. The DVD resolutions are 720x480 or 640x480 for all the new additions and have been there for quite some time now. There are literally thousands of videos to choose from and the updates come every 5 hours!
I am currently a long term member of this site and they give a nice discount for joining long term. They offer 3 options for joining. There is the Basic plan for those who are not interested in DVD quality movies for whatever reason, you can join at $9.95. This is nice because they do not make you pay for something you wont use. There is a monthly plan of $17.95 that allows DVD quality downloads and a 10 month plan for $100 that also allows for the DVD quality.
I intend to stay for a long time!

- My download speed from Videobox was APPALLING. Despite getting 700-800kb/s from other websites, I was lucky to get 10kb/s from Videobox for 99% of my membership. That's no typo; TEN kb/s!! The 1% of the time I could get good download speeds was for an hour or two on Saturday and Sunday mornings (GMT). The sum total of one month's membership is that I managed to download a whopping 9 videos, which is clearly dire.
- No refund if you're having problems downloading files. |

I fully appreciate that most people won't have a problem with the download speeds and it's not really fair to rate this clearly outstanding website very low, so I've given it a score of 90.
That said, personally I'll never be rejoining Videobox as it has been a total waste of money for me.
So take this review as a word of warning; if you're in Europe, specifically the UK like me, you may well have extremely slow downloads speeds and they will not refund your money. As can be seen if you read other comments on this website, other people have also had this slow download speed problem. |

There are no better, cheaper porn sites on the web than Videobox. They are hands-down the best site. Sometimes there are duplicate scenes, poor quality "classics" and for some reason, their library has been completely focused on ANAL, ATM, double pen, male pen by a woman. Great if you are into that stuff, but as I was saying, their variety is their forte, but it feels like it is stagnating.
That aside Videobox is a bargain.
Also, download speeds are great!!! |

The king of DVD-style sites. Since I've been a member I haven't seen another site in this genre that matches Videobox's searching, filtering, sorting and categorizing of content. I was able to find and download a lot of clips from my favorite pornstars that I hadn't had previous to my subscription. I also found some new favorites while browsing through the Videobox site's huge collection. |

This is just a default subscription for me that I've never let expire. It's incredibly cheap and there's always more than enough new content to browse during my next visit.
You have to keep it in perspective. Some of the members reviews complain about the quality of the uploads sometimes being bargain bin and not worth their time. Consider what you're paying and what they're offering. Every 5 hours there is an entirely new DVD available. Every site is hit and miss, but I haven't come across any site that has this many hits for this (small) amount of money.
Recently they've added a blog and the interaction between the people behind VideoBox and their subscribers has gone beyond customer support. Alison and crew are interacting with us and it's created a whole new level to the site that was never there before. It's an evolution that some of us really appreciate.
I know it's a security issue, but I would like to see them add forums. And I'd like to know how many times a video/scene has been rated regarding their 1-5 Stars rating system. Currently, something could have 5 stars and be rated by 100 people or 1 - you don't have any idea how useful the rating is. I don't have a good broadband connection to download everything - so this could be helpful. |

When I first used TheBestPorn to find a porn site to join, I was too clever and thought "you get what you pay for". I had read in some reviews that there were some older videos of poorer quality on this site. It turns out in the case of VideoBox I was wrong. This is a great porn value. The user interface itself including the reviews, the sorting function, the clip editing (which I haven't used) is worth at least 70 points on this rating scale. And there are some really high quality videos on this site which the user interface helps you find. Could have a few more "premium" videos/studios or more Euro videos like from "18" but still there is some really excellent porn on this site.. Worth joining at least for a while.
On the con side, they could add a few of the sorting functions above. I am kind of on a campaign to get porn producers to stop ending so many scenes with men jerking off, which I find anti-erotic, so I thought Videobox might help by creating a "No Male Jerking Self Off" sorting function. |
