I'm not aware of many porn sites that have a live chat for customer service.
But maybe PU could start a protest drive to get these sites into the 21st century.
Write a letter? How fast would they respond?
Would they even read the letter?
How many letters do PU staff receive from PU members per week?

I prefer a website that has a modern interface that allows me to do what I need to do, which, in a vast majority of cases is just cancel the membership. I usually avoid sites that go out of their way to make it difficult to cancel.
If I have another issue though, my preference is the life 'chat' since I know that the problem has been fixed by the time I'm done.

I picked live chat but not many sites have that option. I usually use email and wait until they get back to me.

I actually did contact a couple of sites by telephone, quite a few years ago.
Writing a letter could be tricky, especially if it's a month-only subscription, the term is nearly up, and the letter has to fly internationally and be answered with a letter from the site.
Sounds like a potential scene from a porn parody of "Dumb and Dumbererer."

The websites I subscribed to so far either use Live chat, E-mail or online forms. Live chat, when available, is pretty handy and usually your question or problem is quickly resolved. In most cases for instance for a cancellation you will receive a confirmation E-Mail. The only downside with Live chat is, that they tend to change your mind and overwhelm you with one or more offers in the hope that you don't cancel your membership. You can't blame them for that because they are instructed and paid to do so.
Online forms are pretty handy too but sometimes they don't work properly or they simply crash or return an error message.
E-Mail is fine but the response times are very variable. A lot of sites will reply within two working days but in some cases it can take a few days or even longer. For a non urgent question or problem that's ok but not when it is something more urgent.

I have used email, phone and live chat but prefer live chat followed by phone. Most of the better billing sites have live chat and several of the better porn sites do, too. My biggest issue is always with account logins while I am travelling.
