Fraudulent charges

BEWARE!

I cancelled my membership in early November, yet still got charged the monthly fee in mid-November and December. There was no confirmation email after the cancellation to prove that I cancelled, but I'm positive I did. There were also small $2 charges on my card twice for HoledCams, a site which I never used.

I again tried to "cancel", and it said my "account was succesfully closed". However, I still received no confirmation email. It turns out you have to go to SegPay's website and cancel it from there. Cancelling from Holed.com does NOT work, and your card will continue to be charged until you go to SegPay. This is ridiculous.

Very unprofessional.

rearadmiral (0) I've had similar problems a few times in the past. My issues have almost always been through some fraudulent cam site membership associated with a site I've joined. I've always been able to get the problems resolved though. See if you can find a phone number and give them a call. In my experience the admin people can tell pretty quickly that the membership has been hacked. The good news is that even though my membership was hacked my card was always safe because that information was held by the biller

malikstarks (0) I typically always go to the actual biller to cancel when possible. Still does not excuse the behavior.

I got burned by them on that $60 up-sell though, which is probably worse depending on how much you were over-billed. They don't even have a warning for that thing, you get charged as soon as you click.

skippy (0) I have been a member of that network several times and cancelling is not as easy as it should be.
Although it is sometimes very difficult to find the biller site, this is the best way to see what you have signed up for and what is active. I regularly go to ccbill, epoch and segpay to make sure that what I cancelled has actually been cancelled and to see what is active. (Unfortunately, although Epoch takes Paypal, there is no easy way to track your Paypal paid accounts on the Epoch site yet without a subscription number.) I hate to say it but sometimes it is hard to keep track of what I have signed up for and what I've cancelled so this is the easiest way for me.

dracken (0) That really sucks, sorry you had this happen to you.

That said I read your message and went directly to Segpay to cancel my membership and that worked well for me, didn't get changed again and the site properly shows up as canceled now.


Really easy to click on a video from another site and get billed tho, so you have to be really careful when clicking around.
