-Clicking on linked tag within a scene shows matching scenes across all sites rather than just the scene's site.
-Some scene descriptions are generic info about the site content rather than the scene.
-Filtering scenes by niche is hit and miss (see bottom line for info).
-Older content not HD.
-Download filenames aren't unique so you have to make up a unique filename to avoid overwriting a previously downloaded scene.
-Annoying slide-out ads for cam girls.

I'm not sure how much content constitutes a mega-site but I'd say Adult Prime qualifies as it's vast and varied.
Content covers a whole range of niches including bi and gay, though there's an option to block such content if they're not your thing.
Overall, the quality of the content is very good and covers niches from teen to MILF and mature via group sex, gangbang, family/incest, interracial, asian, latina, cuckold, BBW, BDSM, vintage porn and much more. I won't list the sites included here, but if you click on the company name link at the top of the Adult Prime reviews page in PU, you'll see the list of sites included with links to their PU reviews.
The included sites are a mix of 58 sites where streaming and downloading is included and a further 34 streaming-only sites that require a separate paid membership in order to download, the latter are the so-called bonus sites which are useful for checking out content. The bonus sites are clearly labelled as such, but if you want to restrict yourself to the included downloadable content, then choose a site from the Studios drop-down list at the top of the page.
Traditionalists can also browse the content as DVDs, which are useful for viewing a bunch of scenes from the same genre.
I've previously been a member of a few of the included sites when they were totally separate sites, I also recognised quite a few others that have now been subsumed into AdultPrime, Jim Slip is one example, another is Granddadz which is basically the content from Beauty and the Senior, so you may find that you've already seen/DLed content from other previous site memberships, as I had with Jim Slip.
The website functionality is good and works well, allowing you to quickly get to the content you're interested in by choosing a combination of studio and niche from the dropdown lists used for filtering scenes. You can even filter by niche across all sites if you wish. The one niggle with filtering by niche is that the niches are sort of duplicated, for example, "group sex" and "groupsex" which each return different results, it's the same with "double penetration" and "double-penetration", "hand job" and "hand jobs" and "handjob", and so on, which I guess is down to the various networks using slightly different versions of the same tags.
As mentioned previously in the cons, some scenes are missing relevant tags - I found a few creampie scenes that weren't tagged as such and no doubt doubt here are other scenes with a similar issue.
The site works well on mobile devices so I tend to browse the scenes on my smartphone, favouriting those I like and then downloading them from my favourites list the next time I'm using my PC. My only concern is that my favourites list randomly doesn't show some scenes that I'd previously favourited, so I've no way of downloading them unless I can remember and find them whilst on my PC from where I can download the scene straightaway.
Scenes can be downloaded as 480p, 720p, 1080p and 4K - the download file sizes vary from reasonable to excessively large for the 1080p DLs at least, with one scene weighing in at a 32GB download. I'd guess about a third of the content is encoded at excessively high bitrates - where 8Mbps is sufficient for good quality 1080p, many such scenes are 12mbps, 16mbps, 20mbps and more so you may need more storage than expected. Whilst on the subject of video, a minor niggle is that some 1080p and 720p videos are actually 900p and 666p so not quite HD even though presented as such.
Photosets are viewable as a gallery and image sizes are variable, ranging from 1980x1320 to 4000x2667 (depending on the studio/site) downloadable as ZIP files, but not all scenes have both video and photoset.
The feature to create your own video clip from a scene is quite novel, but after a quick play with it I decided it was a bit pointless: you're limited to creating one clip per scene and setting the start/end of the clip is hopelessly inaccurate. Others can see and rate/comment on your clips though, so you might like and use it, but for me it's of little interest and I'd use a lightweight video editing application to create clips faster and more accurately if I wanted.
The main thing to be aware of with this site is the lack of customer service from the biller, in my case IMCBill. When I signed up I got a message saying that the transaction had failed and would have to be checked manually and that I'd be contacted by email. I'll provide more details as a reply to this review but I ended up paying twice. Also, you'll need to make a note of your sign-up details because they're not included in the membership confirmation email. This and sign-up transaction manual check/delay just strike me as a way to catch you out.
Despite the above, this site gets my vote for the amount of content and quality. Before joining, look for a discount (if one isn't offered by PU) and beware of signing up via IMCBill - if you can, use another biller or PayPal. |
