Depends if it's at the site you can edit before you download (like at Videobox) I do that often. If it's with software after you downloaded, then the answer is no I don't do that. I've tried once on my old computer, but it was a way too slow process for me to bother with.

used to do it regularly, now only if the video is way longer than it has to be.

I voted 'No' because I very seldom download a video.

Ditto Cap'n, I probably wouldn't know how to do it anyway.

I like the story, the development of the plot, the odds bits of humor ... but not nearly as much as getting straight to my favorite kind of action. So I edit, which is a pain. I've got a nice collection of edited ones, and a fair storehouse of things that I'll eventually get around to editing. Huh.

Nobody has shown me how to edit. How hard is it to do? Time and effort (and software needed)?

I used to edit them to cut the scenes that I really wanted to keep, when I was pressed for space in my hard drive. Now that I have a bigger hard drive (I mean, in my computer), I am too lazy to edit them, and I leave them just as I downloaded them...

Especially if it's an old Private clip! Gawd those movies annoy me.
lk2fireone: Google a program called Movica if your PC based. It's free & very easy.

t9chome, thanks for the Movica suggestion. I like the part where it's free, and supposed to be easy to use. I'm going to try it out.

Well, a bit like lk2 - never got to know how to edit a downloaded video..
In some/rare cases I'd like to when files are 2,3,4 or some even over 5 Gb - even with now five externals - but then again: it could be nice to be able to do it easy and simple - just do not know how to...
BTW: Googled that Movica - but it only seems to be "Free download" - that does not mean free to use?

Your welcome. If you're using 64 bit windows, it's a little harder to find a working ver, but I can tell you where to get it. It is modified to work on Win7 64 or Vista 64. The original is 32bit and doesn't work in the 64bit environment.
Denner: Yes, totally free.

Yes, I have Win7 64-bit, so I need a 64-bit version, I assume. Do you have a hot link or something to find a 64-bit version?

Sometimes the video is just too long, for example, one video I edited consisted of 25 minutes of spooning which I cut down to 10. Also, some vids are boring apart from the cumshot so I'll just edit cut to that.

If you're running Windows 7, you can download Windows Live Essentials which includes Windows Live Movie Maker which is pretty easy to use and there's plentyof info on the web on how to use it.

lk2fireone: Here it is. Wait till you see the "regular Download" button appear and click it. You'll need to un-rar the file (winrar will work). It is just a folder with the program contents, no need to install. The executable file is Movica.exe.

Forgot to mention. Movica is for asf & wmv files. To edit mov, mp4 & the like you'll need to purchase quicktime pro.

Don't have tools for it, don't have time for it and there is no shortage of storage at the moment.

I sometimes edit using DIVX Author. It is easy once you get the hang of it.

I've done it a few times, so I kind of had to put rarely. I'll make a compilation or something along those lines. Or I'll find 4 videos I like and edit their sizes in such a way as to I'll be able to see all 4 at once, then compile them into 1 video.
Sound quality is a bit annoying, but it's interesting
