Minor Update: We're still working diligently on myporn.com. Late January we made a bold move to re-design (dramatically improve) the interface and scale down the site as well. Looking back, I'm not sure what I was thinking trying to build 7 sites at one time. The other delay has been technical challenges with developing for every major device (whether mobile, tablet, desktop). It's so much more difficult today than it was 10 years ago, with the benefit of more advanced capabilities. So the end of January we started re-coding everything we had built up to that point. Up to today, we've built all the major elements including a fully functional forum which is currently only open to staff. Over the next month we'll be integrated sites and testing video functionality. I expect there will be an opportunity soon to allow some of you guys to help us alpha test during this development phase. We're getting close to that point. I really believe myporn.com will be a major game changer for this industry. The anticipation drives me bananas  ... but I know the effort will pay off. Thanks for everyone's patience! I finished my first site two weeks ago after 60 days of straight work. We are now expanding into a site 10X size what we just built started right after finishing the last. Feel your pain Rick, doing 2 back to back is hard can't imagine 7 at once. Our first site is sky rocketing at stats blow me away, next site will be bigger no idea how big this one will be but paid a premium to make it work. Fun stuff though , nothing like building a site and seeing it do well. It will be all worth it Rick when its done. I have 6 more sites to build after this one a total of 8 to be done by next spring. The Stooges were a favorite of mine, too. Believe it or not, all three of the originals did a brief promotional skit at a local theater in our town, back when I was about 15-yrs old. I was crafty enough to find my way back stage, where I met and had my picture taken with all three. It was one of those moments in one's lifetime that he never forgets. Particularly in this case, because they had me in such a tight grip my sweater was slightly torn. I still have the picture. Want me to post it? Okay ... the bidding starts at $29.95 | |

Thanks Rick appreciate that. I thought about renaming my two dogs copy and paste and my cat PHP.  I am sure you are way more versed in site development then me. I am just old school 1980 tech guy that migrated over the years with the learning curve. Allot of my users / members like that I adapted Tapatalk. to our sites, makes a better use of the build sure you guys know about that . Smart phones are usually diverse enough but tapatalk makes them look made for the phone. Its kinda cool I can see who logs in using tapatalk too and the script is free to add to the sites. Hey Cybertoad! Still chugging away... It's a continued work in progress and it took us a while there to see 20/20. Since January we've made excellent progress and Khan can attest to the fact that it's coming along great. The last 6 weeks we've been working on the db infrastructure to handle sites, companies, and affiliate programs. Most of that work has been organizing all the import rules so we can accurately export the site/company information from thebestporn.com. Another component that has taken months to perfect is our custom web text editor. We tried multiple libraries like ckeditor.com and they were overbloated and not fully customizable. We've had to hire a javascript expert to get all the features we wanted such as text styling, linking, image upload, video embedding, emoticons, and more. It's built from the ground up and will be used for the reviews, messages, and forum. We should have a new splash page at myporn.com soon with the a look into the new interface. I'll refrain from giving any specific launch dates still until we're closer to completion. Thanks Ricks I was curious sounds like it is moving along, I am starting two more sites up and a third on the way, finally have most of my first opened one fined tuned. Its funny you open a site all goes well and meanwhile behind the scenes the work never stopped. I opened the site ground up in Feb, members have never seen or felt the constant readjusting of PHP, and added item. I think its all up to snuff now, todays I installed the last few scripts to add security on my end, it allows me and only me to see aspects needed to protect the site and the members to. One priority I have is making sure members are safe and privacy. Its fun. I thought MYP would be opened by now, but then doing my own sites I have a whole renewed respect for what you are doing. Been couple years since I dove this deep into site and ownership, I am happy I have a very good team and my main tech guy who is of all places oversees is the best I could have had. Does stuff in minutes that would take me a day. Can't wait until it opens.  Since 2007 | |

What are the url for your sites? I'd love to see them. myporn.com is going to about as polished (front and back) as you can get once we launch. We know how much interference there can be when making major updates after the fact. We'll have a very thorough alpha/beta program which we'll be starting up soon enough so we can start testing more. You're right... as much as development can be slow and frustrating, it's a lot of fun too! The results are always worth the pain. Not being a tekki but being a part of management where I work, I must applaud the patience and thoroughness these guys are putting in. There always is the temptation to show the world all the wonderful things developed and to "show off" a bit. I love the concept, all too often lacking in web development, of let's do it right the first time. The sign in my office says, " whu is it we never have time to do it right the first time but always have time to go in the second time and fix the mistakes?" | |

Monahan, I appreciate you seeing it that way. The site/concept has already evolved into something really special. If we couldn't afford to be this patient, we would have launched an inferior product already. Luckily we have the revenues and can take the proper care/time. Once it launches, I know everyone in the business will attempt to replicate it. It'll also be much more difficult to make changes after that fact. Don't blame anyone who's impatient by now. I've told everyone we would have launched months ago! Nobody puts more pressure to launch than myself. My friends/famliy constantly ask, and it's not fun having to say the same thing. With that said, I'm more and more excited each and every day about myporn.com's future!
