PornUsers.com is dedicated to providing a friendly, unbiased site where those who actually buy memberships to adult pay sites can share their experiences, both good and bad. In this way we feel that those who purchase memberships to online porn sites can benefit from the experience (and mistakes) of their fellow users. It is our sincere hope that by providing a forum for open feedback from those who purchase memberships, that adult site owners will improve their sites so that both surfers and site owners gain value from our service.
A Natural Evolution
PornUsers.com was a natural off-shoot of our very popular review site, TheBestPorn.com. While porn users love seeing the comments by our professional reviewers, we frequently receive comments, complaints, reports, and even reviews of sites we list. Our audience was growing and we believed we had the loyal visitors required to build a community.
So PornUsers.com was born.
We also believe paying members will share more organic and emotional summary of their experience that our reviewers (at TBP) can't duplicate by judging a site for 1-2 hours.
We've worked and prepared what we believe is a top-notch professional site that will allow users the free exchange of opinions. To maintain the atmosphere of a friendly, high quality, unbiased community we've come up with a solid base of Rules and Standards which you can read below, and as we learn more we will continue to adjust them.
We sincerely hope you enjoy your experience at PornUsers.com. If you ever have any comments or suggestions, please let us know!

Marketing
We strive to provide you with choices regarding certain personal data uses, particularly around marketing and advertising. We have established the following personal data control mechanisms:
Promotional offers from us
We may use your Identity, Contact, Technical, Usage, and Profile Data to form a view on what we think you may want or need, or what may be of interest to you. This is how we decide which products, services, and offers may be relevant for you (we call this marketing).
You will receive marketing communications from us if you have requested information from us or purchased goods or services from us and you have not opted out of receiving that marketing.
Third-party marketing
We will get your express opt-in consent before we share your personal data with any third party for marketing purposes.
Opting out
You can ask us or third parties to stop sending you marketing messages at any time by logging into the website and checking or unchecking relevant boxes to adjust your marketing preferences, by following the opt-out links on any marketing messages sent to you, or by contacting us at any time.
Where you opt out of receiving these marketing messages, this will not apply to personal data provided to us as a result of a product or service purchase, product or service experience, or other transactions.
Cookies
You can set your browser to refuse all or some browser cookies, or to alert you when websites set or access cookies. If you disable or refuse cookies, please note that some parts of this website may become inaccessible or not function properly. For more information about the cookies we use, please see our cookie policy.
Change of purpose
We will only use your personal data for the purposes for which we collected it, unless we reasonably consider that we need to use it for another reason and that reason is compatible with the original purpose. If you wish to get an explanation as to how the processing for the new purpose is compatible with the original purpose, please contact us.
If we need to use your personal data for an unrelated purpose, we will notify you and we will explain the legal basis which allows us to do so.
Please note that we may process your personal data without your knowledge or consent, in compliance with the above rules, where this is required or permitted by law.
External Third Parties as set out in the
Glossary
.
Specific third parties such as Campaigner (third-party email solution) and Push Engage (third-party push notification solution).
Third parties to whom we may choose to sell, transfer, or merge parts of our business or our assets. Alternatively, we may seek to acquire other businesses or merge with them. If a change happens to our business, then the new owners may use your personal data in the same way as set out in this privacy policy.
We require all third parties to respect the security of your personal data and to treat it in accordance with the law. We do not allow our third-party service providers to use your personal data for their own purposes and only permit them to process your personal data for specified purposes and in accordance with our instructions.
International transfers
We are based in Canada but our servers are located in the United States. We may process, store, and transfer the personal data we collect, in and to a country outside your own, with different privacy laws that may or may not be as comprehensive as your own. Where we do so, and where we are required to under local law, we will put in place appropriate mechanisms to ensure that your personal data receives an adequate level of protection where it is processed.
If you are located in the European Economic Area (
EEA
), your personal data may be processed outside of the EEA, including, for example, in Canada and the United States, so processing of your personal data will involve a transfer of data outside the EEA.
Whenever we transfer your personal data out of the EEA, we ensure a similar degree of protection is afforded to it by ensuring at least one of the following safeguards is implemented:
Where we use providers based in the US, we may transfer data to them if they are part of the Privacy Shield which requires them to provide similar protection to personal data shared between Europe and the US. For further details, see
European Commission: EU?US Privacy Shield
.
Please contact us if you want further information on the specific mechanism used by us when transferring your personal data out of the EEA.
Data security
We have put in place appropriate security measures to prevent your personal data from being accidentally lost, used, or accessed in an unauthorized way, altered or disclosed. In addition, we limit access to your personal data to those employees, agents, contractors, and other third parties who have a business need to know. They will only process your personal data on our instructions and they are subject to a duty of confidentiality.
We have put in place procedures to deal with any suspected personal data breach and will notify you and any applicable regulator of a breach where we are legally required to do so.
Data retention
How long will you use my personal data for?
We will only retain your personal data for as long as reasonably necessary to fulfill the purposes we collected it for, including for the purposes of satisfying any legal, regulatory, tax, accounting, or reporting requirements. We may retain your personal data for a longer period in the event of a complaint or if we reasonably believe there is a prospect of litigation in respect to our relationship with you.
To determine the appropriate retention period for personal data, we consider the amount, nature, and sensitivity of the personal data, the potential risk of harm from unauthorized use or disclosure of your personal data, the purposes for which we process your personal data and whether we can achieve those purposes through other means, and the applicable legal, regulatory, tax, accounting, or other requirements.
In some circumstances we will anonymize your personal data (so that it can no longer be associated with you) for research or statistical purposes in which case we may use this information indefinitely without further notice to you.
Accessing and correcting your personal data
You can access, review, and change your personal data by logging in the website and visiting your account profile page.
You may also send us an email at
privacy@pornusers.com
to request access to, correct, or delete any personal data that you have provided to us. We cannot delete your personal data except by also deleting your user account. We may not accommodate a request to change information if we believe the change would violate any law or legal requirement or negatively affect the information?s accuracy.
If you delete your user contributions from the website, copies of your user contributions may remain viewable in cached and archived pages or might have been copied or stored by other website users.
Do Not Track policy
Do Not Track (?DNT") is a privacy preference that you can set in your browser. DNT is a way for you to inform websites and services that you do not want certain information about your webpage visits collected over time and across websites or online services. We are committed to providing you with meaningful choices about the information we collect and that is why we provide you the ability to opt out. But we do not recognize or respond to any DNT signals as the Internet industry works toward defining exactly what DNT means, what it means to comply with DNT, and a common approach to responding to DNT. For more information, visit
www.allaboutdnt.com

Your California privacy rights
If you are a California resident, you are granted specific rights regarding access to your personal data. California Civil Code Section 1798.83, also known as the ?Shine The Light" law, permits our users who are California residents to request and obtain from us, once a year and free of charge, information about categories of personal information (if any) we disclosed to third parties for direct marketing purposes and the name and addresses of all third parties with which we shared personal data in the immediately preceding calendar year. If you are a California resident and would like to make such a request, please submit your request in writing to us using the contact information provided above.
Your Canadian privacy rights
We comply with Canadian Federal and Provincial privacy laws and regulations, including the Personal Information Protection and Electronic Documents Act.
We will only use your personal information for the purposes intended and as detailed in this policy unless we have obtained your consent to use it for other purposes.
Residents of Canada are notified that the personal data they provide to us is stored in our databases outside of Canada, including in the United States, and may be subject to disclosure to authorized law enforcement or government agencies in response to lawful demand under the laws of that country.
You may withdraw your consent to our personal data collection, use, or disclosure, subject to legal and contractual restrictions.
You have the right to complain about our personal data handling practices.
If you need to contact us about your personal data or believe that we have violated your privacy rights, please contact us using the contact information provided above. You may visit

If you wish to exercise any of the rights set out above, please contact us.
No fee usually required
You will not have to pay a fee to access your personal data (or to exercise any of the other rights). However, we may charge a reasonable fee if your request is clearly unfounded, repetitive, or excessive. Alternatively, we could refuse to comply with your request in these circumstances.
What we may need from you
We may need to request specific information from you to help us confirm your identity and ensure your right to access your personal data (or to exercise any of your other rights). This is a security measure to ensure that personal data is not disclosed to any person who has no right to receive it. We may also contact you to ask you for further information in relation to your request to speed up our response.
Time limit to respond
We try to respond to all legitimate requests within one month. Occasionally it could take us longer than a month if your request is particularly complex or you have made a number of requests. In this case, we will notify you and keep you updated.

We do not use your personal data for activities where our interests are overridden by the impact on you (unless we have your consent or are otherwise required or permitted to by law). You can obtain further information about how we assess our legitimate interests against any potential impact on you in respect of specific activities by contacting us.

We may share your data with third-party vendors, service providers, contractors, or agents who perform services for us or on our behalf and require access to that information to do that work. Examples include: payment processing, data analysis, email delivery, hosting services, customer service, and marketing efforts. We may allow selected third parties to use tracking technology on the website, which will enable them to collect data about how you interact with the website over time. This information may be used to, among other things, analyze and track data, determine the popularity of certain content and better understand online activity. For example, we use Google Analytics to help us understand how our customers use the website (you can read more about how Google uses your personal data here:

Advertising Networks.
We may share your personal data with advertising networks and technology companies that measure advertising performance and attribution.
Third-Party Advertisers.
We may use third-party advertising companies to serve ads when you visit the websites. These companies may use information about your visits to our websites and other websites that are contained in web cookies and other tracking technologies to provide advertisements about goods and services of interest to you.
Your EEA Legal Rights
You have the right to:
Request access
to your personal data (commonly known as a ?data subject access request"). This enables you to receive a copy of the personal data we hold about you and to check that we are lawfully processing it.
Request correction
of the personal data that we hold about you. This enables you to have any incomplete or inaccurate data we hold about you corrected, though we may need to verify the accuracy of the new data you provide to us.
Request erasure
of your personal data. This enables you to ask us to delete or remove personal data where there is no good reason for us continuing to process it. You also have the right to ask us to delete or remove your personal data where you have successfully exercised your right to object to processing (see below), where we may have processed your information unlawfully, or where we are required to erase your personal data to comply with local law. Note, however, that we may not always be able to comply with your request of erasure for specific legal reasons which will be notified to you, if applicable, at the time of your request.
Object to processing
of your personal data where we are relying on a legitimate interest (or those of a third party) and there is something about your particular situation which makes you want to object to processing on this ground as you feel it impacts on your fundamental rights and freedoms. You also have the right to object where we are processing your personal data for direct marketing purposes. In some cases, we may demonstrate that we have compelling legitimate grounds to process your information which override your rights and freedoms.
Request restriction of processing
of your personal data. This enables you to ask us to suspend the processing of your personal data in the following scenarios:
If you want us to establish the data?s accuracy.
Where our use of the data is unlawful but you do not want us to erase it.
Where you need us to hold the data even if we no longer require it as you need it to establish, exercise, or defend legal claims.
You have objected to our use of your data but we need to verify whether we have overriding legitimate grounds to use it.
Request the transfer
of your personal data to you or to a third party. We will provide to you, or a third party you have chosen, your personal data in a structured, commonly used, machine-readable format. Note that this right only applies to automated information which you initially provided consent for us to use or where we used the information to perform a contract with you.
Withdraw consent at any time
where we are relying on consent to process your personal data. However, this will not affect the lawfulness of any processing carried out before you withdraw your consent. If you withdraw your consent, we may not be able to provide certain products or services to you. We will advise you if this is the case at the time you withdraw your consent.
Our user reviews have more quality standards and rules than most other user submitted review sites. This is designed to keep the reviews informative, fair, and interesting.
Here's the very minimum to get your review approved:
1. A combination of at least 4 unique pros or cons (So 2 pros and 2 cons would be acceptable). Each pro/con should be constructive and easy to understand. Short bullet points are acceptable.
2. A bottom line statement about the site. Should include an overall opinion of the site and any other items worth mentioning.
3. Review should contain at least 50 words of useful content.
Good reviews can earn points toward your profile. Points give you added priveleges and credibility. Read about our good/excellent review criteria to earn up to 2 points per review.
We also highly recommend checking out the forum thread "What should a PU review include?" which include some great review tips contributed by some of our advanced users.
All reviews are pre-approved (by users in good standing) and then later evaluated by a staff member. Meeting the criteria above does not guarantee approval. Read below for other rules and information.
What type of reviews may not be approved?
Our staff does its best to uphold our review quality standards (view #1 for more info). The problem is its difficult to define exactly what is allowed and not allowed since every review is unique.
Here's a few review examples of what may not be approved:
1. One-sided reviews that appear to have put little or no effort in judging the site fairly. We're pretty lenient right now, but we reserve the right to deny reviews we feel aren't geniune.
2. Reviews that focus on one specific feature or problem unrelated to the site's main product. For example, there's a temporary billing or hosting issue with the site and that's all the review points out. Such a problem should be posted as a comment, not a review.
3. Reviews that contain only general opinions and little or no reasons to justify them. For example "This site is awesome, go signup" or "This site blows, I don't recommend it.". Just make sure to include some useful content for other potential buyers.
We always reserve the right to remove or deny a review from being published for any reason we deem approrpriate. This probably won't happen, but it has to be said.
Are there any other specific rules I need to know?
Some other important review standards to keep in mind:
1. A review should judge the site as a whole, not isolated to a specific feature, section, or problem. There's no need to address every detail of the site, but we recommend pointing out what the site does well and what the site could improve on.
2. If the review appears one-sided or focused on one thing, it loses credibility. If you want to simply address one or two things (good or bad) about a site, post a comment instead.
3. Consider your score carefully. If you don't like a site, don't rush to give them a 50 (or a perfect score if you love a site). Consider 100 being absolutely perfect and 50 being a site the worst adult site on the net. We recommend following our rating guidelines (shown below the rating input field). You can change the score at anytime, but score it as best you can from the beginning.
4. If a site includes bonus access to other sites, we recommend focusing your review on the subject site and only consider the bonus sites as an extra feature. A lot of times sites that offer included access to other sites have a network which we should have listed. If you want to review all the sites as a whole, we recommend reviewing the network.
5. Reviews may NOT be based on LIMITED Trials or FREE Access to a site unless such free access is a normal part of a PAID subscription to a network. Users MAY NOT contact webmasters / site owners asking for free access for the purposes to do a review.
How should I format the pros and cons?
You can format pros and cons in any way you find appropriate (obviously not referring to the context). We do have recommendations on how to structure your text to make it easy for users to read.
Here's a few examples we recommend:
1. Use a hyphen to list each pro or con like a bullet point list.
2. Write one sentence for each pro or con, one after another.
We usually recommend summarizing each pro/con in a single sentence (rather than a paragraph explanation) for the sake of keeping it simple and to the point. There are times where it's appropriate to explain a pro/con deeper, so use your own discretion.
You have the freedom to format these how you wish, so don't feel like you need to follow our recommendations.
What should the bottom line contain?
The bottom line is intended to contain the bulk of your review comments, but it doesn't have to. It's your review, so make it your own. Just in case you need some ideas though, read more below.
This is what you might consider for your bottom line:
1. Statement of recommendation. Would you recommend others to sign-up for this site?
2. List some things you'd like to see (like a wish list) the site add in the future.
3. Explain your pros/cons in more detail if necessary.
4. Why did you sign-up in the first place, did it meet your expectations? Have you remained a member?
5. Is there one specific pro or con that really needs to be highlighted? Bottom line is always appropriate to re-enforce that again.
Can I link or mention other sites?
Links (including the posting of urls) are not permitted at this time (for various reasons), but we might enable this down the road.
Although you'll notice above we don't permit the promotion of other sites or services, there are certain exceptions where mentioning other sites is ok:
1. Make references from other sites (within reason) to help make your point.
2. If you're not happy with your membership (you should explain why) and want to recommend a few other sites, this is no problem.
3. You can reference other sites from the same company for almost any reason.
What we're trying to avoid are shameless promotions of other sites or services. In our business, competition can be fierce and site owners will go to extreme lengths to get an edge. If we feel the comment promotes another site (or group of sites) with no reasonable point behind it, expect it to be denied.
How does a user get banned or suspended?
Users can be suspended (or banned) for a number of ways. As it relates to reviews, users who post reviews that are clearly not permitted can be suspended immediately.
A warning will usually be given to first time offenders and users who didn't intend to break our rules may just have their submission denied. A suspension is usually given if the user has broken our rules and has previous been warned.
We also look for and have tools to help detect fake users. Whether it's users who register for multiple accounts, users who have an obvious agenda, or users influenced by an outside source. Users who display this behavior beyond a reasonable doubt will be banned and all previous submissions will be removed.
We always reserve the right to suspend or ban a user profile for any reason we feel necessary. It's not required for us to explain why, but it's standard policy for us to give a fair and reasonable explanation.
Comments are meant to fill other needs that reviews aren't intended to provide.
Here's the type of content we're looking for:
1. Quick notes or comments about the site.
2. Technical issues or questions.
3. Billing issues or questions.
4. Customer service issues.
5. Site speed and reliability reports.
6. Questions about the site (may or may not get answer).
7. Warnings about trials, drm, false advertising, etc.
8. Anything positive you want to highlight about the site.
What shouldn't be posted here?
As long as your comment is related to the site, you should be ok.
Here's the type of content not permitted:
1. No personal information (e-mail, address, names) that's considered private or confidential.
2. Comments to a specific user review (post in replies).
3. Comments to a specific TBP review (we'll have a replies page soon).
4. Comments not related to the site.
5. Comments without useful substance or information.
6. Promotion of any other site or service.

How can I get the site webmaster to reply?
If there is a registered webmaster listed on the site page (under the Site News section), then most likely they will get a notice when a new review or comment is added.
Webmasters are not required to reply, but if they have registered with us it's more than likely they're reading all the user feedback posted. Each webmaster has a number next to their name. That number represents the number of comments and/or reviews they've replied to. The higher the number, the greater the chance they're reading and will reply if needed.

Users can be suspended (or banned) for a number of ways. As it relates to comments, users who post comments that are clearly not permitted can be suspended immediately.

We built a reply section for nearly every area of Porn Users we felt users would want to voice a response.
Replies can be an excellent feature of Porn Users if handled properly.
Here are some reasons we offer replies:
1. The ability to agree/disagree.
2. Ask for clarification about some point raised.
3. Point out any incorrect facts.
4. Engage in a related conversation or debate.
5. Praise quality feedback.
You might find other good ways to utilize our replies, just keep it clean and consistent with our rules below.
What's allowed and what's not?
Replies are meant to act similar to a "Comments" section of a blog entry (for those familiar). It's setup in a message board format to keep the replies organized and simple to follow.
All replies should follow these rules:
1. Initial replies to the original feedback should be related to that feedback in some form. Irrelevant replies or spam will not be tolerated..
2. Replies to existing replies should also stay on task. If the conversation becomes unrelated or personal, be aware that we may remove those replies (at our discretion).
3. Personal attacks are also not what our replies are intended for. Please keep disagreements respectful. Personal attacks will result in a warning or suspension (depending on the severity).
Our replies areas are given slightly more freedom than other type of submissions (reviews or comments), but we ask you guys to please keep relevant and respectful.
If we feel the a reply promotes another site (or group of sites) with no reasonable point behind it, expect it to be denied.
Replies are pre-approved, but still moderated.
All replies are pre-approved for registered users. Be aware that our staff does still look and give each reply an official "approval" or "denial".
Our intentions and rules are shown in section #1 and #2 above, so please read and follow them. We always reserve the right to remove any reply (even if previously approved) for any reason we feel necessary.
We do have tools in place to assist us in catching fake users (users with an agenda), but we don't approve each individual quick rating like we do for reviews and comments. Since the system only permits a single rating per registered user, the abuse must be judged from analyzing each user's feedback history.
How should I approach the rating?
Consider your score carefully. If you don't like a site, don't rush to give them a 50 (or a perfect score if you love a site). Consider 100 being absolutely perfect and 50 being a site the worst adult site on the net. We recommend following our rating guidelines (shown below the rating input field). You can change the score at anytime, but score it as best you can from the beginning.
How many quick ratings can I add per site?
You can rate each site once. If you've written a review for a site already (which includes a rating), then that counts as a rating also.
Will my quick rating expire?
Yes, they will.
Current all reviews, comments, and ratings expire after 1 year (from it's creation date) and no longer count toward the site's score. While reviews and comments are archived for later viewing, ratings are not kept on record past this date. The idea is to keep the total score for each site as up to date as possible.
You can submit a new quick rating after it expires.
