Well, there is no "thumbs up" type approval on individual remarks so you're not missing anything there.

The Trust ratings are just a matter of clicking the "yes" or "no" That is next to the text "Trust User" on any of their remarks. Of course you could also click their name to get to their profile page and cast your trust vote there.

BTW, it's been talked to death but bears repeating (since it's often misunderstood) ...

While the system has been modified a few times (see later announcements), you can see the initial announcement about Trust Ratings here

Basically, the trust system boils down to one single question ...

Can the reviewer's remarks be trusted to be accurate to what others will find if they visit a site?

It has nothing to do with (nor was it ever designed to be an indication of) a user's personal integrity.

If you want to understand the Trust system more, I can only encourage you to go back and read the *many* discussions on the subject in the Forum, in previous polls and in the Announcements section.

Hope that helps Former PornUsers Senior Administrator

bebelover the main point to note is that you are not able to give trust ratings to other users until you have clocked up 5 user points yourself (the number in brackets next to your user name....you currently have 3). I notice some of your reviews are quite short and probably didn't qualify you for points so if you could make your next reviews a bit longer and provide a bit more detail you can get up to 2 points for each excellent review and break through the 5 point barrier

Apart from the rules that Khan mentions - I'd just say trust is quite subjective...
Reviews: Reading them, you will get the notion - and comparing them to your own opinion of reviewed sites, you will get an even better notion....
All beginning can be hard - and this user had some serious about my first reviews in the start - years back...
But do not worry - generally this PU has nice people - at lot of them - and helpful too.

Comments: You do not need to approve or disapprove - or even trust. Comments are in many ways as helpful as reviews - you get a lot of new infos, news and of course good warnings..

Just play along and as a pornlover you'll get to appreciate this place "I don't drink anymore - I freeze it, and eat it like a popcicle" Edited on Dec 09, 2011, 08:40am

MY opinion,

I would say that the Trust rating why simple, should be used with caution and measured with care before given.

A person should be giving accurate information in a review they give, if the review is short or not perfect. It would be ( my opinion) better to leave a review reply then put a negative trust. A negative is something ( in my opinion) should be used when the information is bogus or very misleading and clear motive of this intent is clear.'
Example: a person says the site has HD and 1000 movies, and a new one everyday. You join the site they reviewed, and the videos are poor, there are maybe 20 movies and no updates, would be clear their review was not worth its weight.

I have been a member several years, and still have one negative trust rating from and over zealous nebie member who thought my review was too short. Now years later why I have built my reputation I still have that annoying negative on my membership because of what I felt was a carelessly done trust rating.

In the same a positive trust should be reserved ( my opinion) to encourage a ok or good review, or to commend and outstanding one.
See looking at your reviews, people left review replies to encourage some changes in your reviews, and why they commented on the review it looks like a few ppl gave you a trust rating. It would not have been fair to give a negative trust as it clear you are trying to give information and what information you gave seems accurate.

I ( my opinion) think trust are a great tool for anyone who is looking to join a site a person reviewed. I would just use a tad caution and not rush to give trust ratings until sure of the reviewers intent ! Since 2007
