Technical Question About This Board Do you guys think you could adjust your editing settings? Most boards will allow for a few minutes of editing before the "edited x days ago" message appears. This allows for the editing of simple typos that occur. | |

Eh, I see no specific reason to hide the information. Trivial as the editing of typos may be it is simple enough to annotate the reason for the edit. However, I would love for the site to fill in the Edit Reason line with the last thing I wrote in for a message I had edited previously. On particularly verbose entries, it sometimes takes me several tries to weed out all of the typos and grammatical errors. "I'm not a number, I'm a free man!" This is an open forum, Dearest. If you wanted to make a format suggestion to just the Porn Users staff, then please send them an email directly. I have done so many times and they are very appreciative of suggestions and will respond as quickly as they can. However, by posting the topic as a new thread, it presents the appearance of an interest in debate on the subject; inviting other users to weigh in on the pros and cons of the suggested change. My point is that by merely posting the thread, the understanding is you are implicitly asking myself and every other user that reads the thread to comment upon said thread. An advantage of using the forum is also the creation of ideas stemmed from other ideas. I had never really remembered to email the Porn Users staff about the Edit Reason self-filling line suggestion - which I think would be a nice little time saver. Who knows what other recommendations or thoughts other users will have on the subject? Just because I do not believe it is important to remove the edited message from quickly edited posts, does not mean others will also not agree with you. Basically, there isn't any reason to go on the defensive so quickly - I wasn't attacking you directly, I was just commenting on the presented subject. I think it has been well established that I am quite opinionated, no real news there. I mean no affront to anyone - I'm just adding my thoughts on the subjects addressed in the forum for better or for worse (to use the horribly over-used cliché). "I'm not a number, I'm a free man!"
