Where are the trust-rating? It seems like those - once - very popular trust-ratings are almost bygone. They are getting more and more rare both from old and new users. We once had a lot of debate on the matter - and most PUs considered it rather importend. But PUs giving one another good or bad rating is now like a dead heering. Off course I'm also speaking for myself - just short of two - but still think it's a great way for the commonwealth - and good concerning the still growing number of new users. Let's get it working again! And don't hold back on handing out no-trusts, if you got a good reason...but never do it anonymous. I still wonder who gave me my first and one and only "don't trust" rating. My first review was fair (Abby Winters), I thought, and the score was certainly not outrageous. Must have been because I had just showed up on the scene. Because of this experience I've been pretty careful not to hand out too many of these things, especially to newbies. The "trusts" are reserved for people whose reviews I've read over a period of time and I know for sure that they are trying to be fair. The "no trusts" are for the one time users who pop up to give a site a hundred! And I agree with you about the anonymous business.

We're all - PUs - in this for the joy of porn. And the more - serious - users here can help each other the better. To get good porn and avoid getting ripped off by bad. So, yes - it's also a matter of trust. New and "old timers". Still it (trust rating) may do the job along the way - and the "no's" is just as importend af the "yes's". But a "no" should ALWAYS been followed by a comment - and it's kind of funny to see how most PUs with a lot of "no's" go away quite fast - why? Well, maybe because there's faul play regarding: not impartial - I think that's the word in english. Hey Denner, I went back to make sure I had voted on yours after reading this thread. I had an was #4 yes anonymous vote for you way back when you first started, so I removed the anonymous, but that won't help your total count since I had already voted yes for you. I went through the same thing. I was stuck on 29 yes for awhile, then got 6 or 7 yes in the matter of days, but haven't had one since. I think that a lot of members ended up confused about how the trust vote works. I had a couple of emails that pointed out a comment I made. It was that I rarely give no votes, the people I don't trust, I usually skip. To get my trust, as I told JBDick on a recent yes vote on him. I am not looking at the scores members give sites to compare to how I rate the site, to decide if I trust them. All I really look for is for the review to have good facts in it, and useful information that is true about the site. I posted that after receiving a no vote from a member because I docked a site 20 points for having a download limit and he didn't agree with my choice to take points off for the DL limit. Which I still don't see being an issue of trust, since that was just my opinion that had nothing to do with the site itself. My first time I jacked off, I thought I'd invented it. I looked down at my sloppy handful of junk and thought, This is going to make me rich. - Chuck Palahniuk

Hey exotics4me Thanks for the thought/action about this users trust-score! And honestly, it was the fact that my score has been around 28/29 for a long time (and suddenly droped when RagingBudist left us). But it got me wondering about the activity of those scores in general - guess it's not so popular anymore - now when we got the new forum and all... But sure, there could be other reasons. When you pull up a (another) User's Trust Ratings, if you've given that user a rating, you should see the option offered to edit your earlier rating. You should also see YES or NO in RED (rather than the normal green) for the vote you casted previously. You are only allowed one rating per user so if in doubt, try rating the user. They system should let you know if you've rated them previously. Hope that helps. There are a couple of ways to see who you voted for. The simplest is it look at the trust votes beside a user's nickname in reviews, comments, etc. If the "Yes" is unlinked and green, then you voted Yes for that person. If it's unlinked and red, then you voted no. The other way is through your profile edit page. If you click Profile Edit at the top of the page, then scroll down to Preferences you'll notice a 'Trust Ratings' section. On the right you should notice a link that says "View and edit your ratings anytime". If you go here, you can view & edit ALL of the trust ratings you've previously given. Hope that helps! Whoops, sorry I forgot to mention that way to check Trust Ratings. It was mentioned (as a Hint) in an earlier announcement. https://www.pornusers.com/replies_view.html?id=12482 Former PornUsers Senior Administrator Now at: MyPorn.com "To get your ideas across use small words, big ideas, and short sentences."-John Henry Patterson

I actually sought out reviewers that I felt I could trust, and made sure that they knew it was me. Some of them returned the favor. (And it worked the other way around, too.) So, Denner, it's time to get schmoozin'! I'll bet you'll have that 30 and your final badge in no time! Good luck! And about negatives, over the past year or longer I've had several, always from "anonymous," which mysteriously came and later disappeared. I was like, "Oh." And then later, "Wha- ? Tsh! Whatever." I wanted something new, so I left England for New England.

Sorry, forgot to reply with quote: So this is a reply to the Drooler: Yes, I too sometimes returned the favour, but I also read - mostly newcommers - reviews thoroughly. I also think there has been quite some bullshit around where you really could suspect faul play...but rather that give those reviewers a "no" right away - let's follow them and see if it turns out more serious. And, buddy, You and I know this is for the benefit of all users - and the more "top-graded"/"top-score-users" we get, the better. When I'm fed up with no-good sites, I always go after/search in the reviews of fellow PUs with top-trustscores - with a few exeptions, becuase we have some great "newcommers" too. And those newcommers should get more attention - also concerning trust-scores. "I don't drink anymore - I freeze it, and eat it like a popcicle"
