End Pre Checked Cross Selling,

Okay I've had enough. What of? Fucking pre checked cross selling that's what. Tonight I was about to sign up to 18xGirls. Great price, but they tried to con me into signing up to VideosZ. Below is the mail I sent to customer support. I am fed up with this bullshit. Trying to con people out of their money is not on. I guess I am a one man show on this but I feel so strongly about it I thought it was time to at least stand up and be counted. This is what I put:

"Pre checked cross selling is a pet hate of mine. I am a member of Porn Users and post there regularly. I have always hated sites who try to con punters out of their money. If it wasn't a con then the box would be UNCROSSED and left to the individual to cross. Obviously it is there to deceive and hope punters don't notice it, and then be too embarrassed to complain to their credit card company.

This is why free download sites do so well. The porn industry is full of people who try to rip off customers, and those who can't be trusted sadly hurt the bona fide trustworthy sites. You have lost a customer in me, and give the industry a bad name. I will be signing up with someone else. You are obviously far too shady to give any credit card details to.

I shall be posting this on Porn Users. I hope us consumers can support the genuine sites who deserve our support. End pre checked cross selling. It's a con, and makes any company who uses it, to be a shady bunch of scumbags who cannot be trusted." Edited on Sep 01, 2012, 06:36pm

^Although I agree that pre-checked cross sell are always a bad thing and a bane on the porn industry. That's not why people use torrent and tube sites. People use those sites because they are cheap F..g bastards(sorry for my French) who will use any and all reason to justify stealing porn. I had an argument on another forum with a guy because he tried to defend someone who's excuse for using tube sites was because the type of porn he likes is too hard to find.

If it's that hard to find then why is it on tube sites and
maybe if he actually paid for his porn then someone would make more of it. The thieves are winning the battle but we will all lose the war. Good luck finding new stuff to watch on tube sites when most porn studios are dead. Long live the Brown Coats.

Hi The squirrel you are doing the right thing if you like to stop sites doing thing like that. if they see a drop in there money they will change thing in the end.It is the same with the memberships all most all will have you to sine up for 3 months.if people did not sine up to them they would change it. it is all down to the consumer in the end.

Pat362
your be happy to know there are more tube sites closing down as the are not getting the traffic to them so the click payments are to low and people are not buying there add space like before.

I agree to a certan extent, but only a certain extent, because shady behaviour is one thing that tarnishes the porn industry, and always has. It is one of many reasons why some people download for free. I was about to sign up with them, and now will not. They will lose me, but for everyone they lose there may be two who miss the pre checked cross sale. They do it because it pays them to try and trick people. I would have no qualms about downloading their material for free.

Apart from the piracy side of things, even if there were not free downloads, shady behaviour does hurt the porn industry. I think many do not go near subscribing to a site because of dubious behaviour and credit card worries. It would be nice to see a reputable billing company like Epoch stand up and say we will not support this practice. Obviously government may stop this sort of thing too. Yes, it pays them to try and trick people. There are many sites I would pay good money to download from, but will not ever join because of cross selling. The only people who can stop them is consumers (and maybe government, but only because of other industries using cross selling). If they try to con you, don't join. Most of the time you will see the cross sell, but others may not. Cross selling is stealing. I think I shall refer to it from now on as pre checked cross stealing.

Cap'n.

Yes I totally agree with you on that too! I'm not joining any site that has it no matter how good their material.

Hey, Squirrel, you tell 'em, man. I especially liked the part about simply not joining their site and taking your shillings elsewhere. I've dropped subscriptions "in vivo" over the pre-checked sales boxes myself before, too. You never know what ELSE is lurking behind even that!

The problem doesn't seem to be as bad as it used to be, but some people never learn! So scuttle their butts and move on to something that doesn't rattle. I wanted something new, so I left England for New England.

Cheers Drools! Yes, the best way of voting is with your wallet. There are so many places that are customer oriented, honest, reputable, and don't try to con you. We should be supporting those, the rest can go to the wall. Purchase from the decent ones, not the cheats. There is only so much money we have to spend on porn, let's do it selectively and keep the good ones in business. It's also a big worry if you give your card details to the bad ones, you don't know what they will do. Edited on Sep 02, 2012, 04:58pm

Always check your statements carefully.
Any decent credit card company will cover you for fraudulent use.
Be very careful with using a Debit Card though. Those are not covered in that way!
