That's interesting. Are they still going to have solo content or did they not say? I can't say I ever downloaded a straight hardcore scene from Twistys. I streamed a few and thought they were too cookie-cutter. I would like to see them improve. It's hard to believe I once gave them a 99 here on Porn Users but my last review of their site was an 80. When Shap was running it, and it felt like they were doing everything they could think of to make it better and better every day, and when they had crazy amounts of updates per day, plus licensed content, and live shows, they probably earned the 99. It's still not a bad site. Perhaps they decided that it will stand out more distinctly in the MindGeek universe as a lez-only site. | |

Honestly, I think it's for the best! Their lesbian content seemed better than the straight content anyway. Everything looked great, but I think the lesbian scenes had something more. Looking forward to seeing how that works out! | |

It is sad that we rarely see webmasters with Shap's dedication, anymore. He would come up with 2-3 new ideas, test them and if they weren't doing good, he would come up with 2-3 more new ideas. I remember that time when he posted to tell Twistys members they have access to Nicole Graves solo site and Anette Dawn's solo site. Someone thanked him and he replied, "The login pages are working for all 3. My tech guy is on vacation so I guess I will let you all have them for free!" I try not to be too hard on Mind Geek, business is business but I don't know why they don't try to have just one site rep to talk to the members and get some feedback. One person ideally, but even if they handled the position with rotating staff, it would show some effort to deliver a more personal touch. And if they did at least try to fake it, they might realize that it was worth making it a real gig for someone - but too often they seem to assume that it's not worth the trouble. But even non-porn companies don't always get the value of a personalized customer service experience so what a consumer supposed to do? | |

More than that, they are openly hostile to member feedback. They did away with the Twisty's forum not long after buying the site. They did away with Brazzers' forum after they heard too much complaining from members. It's "give us your money or go away" for that crowd. It's very true how rare the Shap-like webmasters are. I remember one time I had been locked out of the site. I complained to their Customer Service - they gave me a "looks OK on our end" response, which helped me not at all. I posted here and Shap took up the issue personally. He found that, since I have Comcast, I was the victim of an over-active security system that was denying access to thieves that were using their Comcast accounts to steal Twisty's login info. He skipped dinner with a porn star to solve my problem. He was awesome. | |

Do you know I think I remember that? I am thinking the model was Bree Olson. I also think his wife Cookie was a big help to him. I requested Anette Dawn. Cookie emailed me and asked what I knew about Anette. I told her it always frustrated me because 21 Sextury airbrushed her scars off her stomach. There was something real about them to me and I wondered if knowing they were going to airbrush them hurt her confidence. Shap was so impressed with her he made her a Treat of the Month and gave her a solo site. I remember him saying in an email, "I almost cried when she pulled her shirt up and told us about the scars". Now I am curious if Anette's content is still on Twistys. I went to the Anette Dawn website, it opened but said redirecting then crashed. My first time I jacked off, I thought I'd invented it.
