A PU "REUNION" This is just a thought - maybe some crazy notion ect. Could any of you imagine some kind of a "PU Reunion" - where members here would meet at some bar/nightclub or alike....sounds crazy, does it not. But still - even if people here are located miles and miles apart - and some - a lot in Europe - want to do the trip to Tallahassee, Boston, Los Angeles, Phoenix, New York or whatever....would you consider a meeting with other PUs at a big gathering - probably you alone and no spouse, wife ect.? We're totally anonymous here - and that's the way it has to be...... But it COULD be FUN to put faces on - even with some ongoing anonymity.....hey, is that really you, Mbaya - don't tell me you're exotics4me... and we finally meet, Ze Droolah - messmer, you do not look so Canadian to me, LOL.......ect.ect.ect. In any case: Nobody need to know who you really are (name, location, ect.) .......I know this is far out, but not the thought/the idea....???? Some of us has been here a loooooong time. You know, it really does sound like fun and I know I often wonder what some of our forum contributors look like but, as you said, I think wanting to remain totally (or mostly) anonymous will prove to be stronger. Not only that, but my wife wouldn't let me go to this meeting!  | |

It's an interesting idea, but not really practical. The whole reason we can all "meet" right now is that it's all electronic and relatively anonymous. No traveling or disguises or awkward handshakes (I'm sure some of us have incredible grips), just the convenience and openness of the web. The only thing I can think of that would have brought most or some of us together prior to the Internet would be a porn convention--which might not be open to all--or some adult theater or strip/gentleman's club--which are the more creepier routes. I think it's a great idea! I live in party central USA, though I am a humble hermit myself, and a ten minute drive from where I work and live brings me to beaches and bikinis and tramp-stamps and drunken bead-scrounging college-gurls (note the tres chic spelink of 'gurls') and goateed yahoos with cameras and pontoons and Dadda's money and Mommy's genes and colossal Ford F-350's pullin boats that say "lick em & stick em" on 'em and jet skis and cases and cases and cases and cases of flimsy tepid lousy American beer and awful yodeling Green Day Paramore and Hoobastank or sumpin er udder. I've also thought it would be fun to meet other PU'ers face-to-face, but there are all of the logistical concerns in coordinating schedules, the expenses of travel, the possible threats as Wittyguy mentioned (some people just can't wait to rain on someone else's parade), and then the post-meeting concerns as well. I don't want to be seen in photos or videos of such a meeting posted on the web. Sure, people could promise not to do it, but I've learned not to be that trusting. (If anyone is offended, then I specifically meant you.) So I'm happy just to be here, virtually. I wanted something new, so I left England for New England. | |

Of course this is not likely to happen - too many problems involved. If the word got out (outside PU), it's easy to imagine some local rage, hate groups, threads and sure the idea of photos of PUs could even turn into blackmail, the logistic problems ect. ect. But it COULD HAVE BEEN FUN....and I think WeeWillyWinkys input have that easy/nice deal about it (I don't take no shit from nobody...or in the words of the late Danny Joe Brown: "Nobody walks on me") - AND the kind of freedom most here like, after all...and yes, turboshaft - "we were never here", LOL... In a bit different way this has happened here in this small country: A website for Danes who use "girls of the night" (brothels, massageparlours ect.)- and looking for hotels/motels suited for spending a couple of hours with a mistress. Some of these guys also meet at sexparties and write about it at that website - it looks like quite a few of them get to know each other along the way, only by usersnames (and looks, of course)......"Hey, Bandana, did you enjoy that little redhaired last week...?" Some of them even get together for a big X-mas Lunch. Back a few years ago, a bunch of us sports forum users met in Vegas, but the site itself took pictures and posted them on their forum. It was fun though. We had three who showed up that had female parts and we had always thought they were guys! Imagine the awkwardness of that at a porn users reunion. Though I will say, depending on location, I would make the trip. I have no intentions of running for a politician's spot or working in any more high moral fields. Man, talk about getting to know the customer! Of course over on our side of the Atlantic "companionship" is only legal in Nevada, and when the wrong people get caught paying thousands of dollars for such things they have to quit their jobs and feign an apology (Eliot Spitzer and Emperors Club VIP). This is probably not a realistic concern. I'm a member of a strip-club afficianado forum, which is public and even gets mentioned in the press every 3 years or so. There have been posts of planned socials every once in a while - no protesters. On the other hand, an escort-afficianado forum that has had publicly-announced socials has then had law enforcement attention at the events - not too terribly surprising, even in sexually permissive California. | |
