List sites which don't apply geo-targeted pricing.

Hello:

Since most sites have decided to con us -at least this is my experience, despite of having complained time and again to ccbill and the respective webmasters- , lets list european friendly sites. Unfortunately, i don't know of any:

Thanks. Puritanism: The haunting fear that someone, somewhere, may be happy.

I did:

The Kink sites, whippedass.com and so forth. I wish them Godspeed...

Please, if anyone knows of anyother sites that don't apply regional pricing, now that the euro will probably try 1.50, do not hesitate and tell us.

I've been a memeber to more than a dozen sites (easy) in the last nine months and, barring Kink, they all seemed to love these shenanigans. Puritanism: The haunting fear that someone, somewhere, may be happy.

At AmericanVice.com, we're more than happy to take whatever your currency converts into as US dollars.

If your currency strength makes our product ridiculously cheap, then you can thank your business leaders for having such a robust economy and subsidizing your porn habit!!!

I don't think nostromo meant currency exchange. I think they meant literally charging one price for x region/country and charging y region/country a completely different price.

Reality Kings is another that give you the correct exchange rate. I think Naughty America as well.

Als Scan will give you the correct exchange rate if you sign up with their independant billers, but if you join Als scan via CCbill you will be hit with regional pricing.

Nostromo is just right here - it seems like an everlasting problem. Especially CCBill keeps comming up with prices in Euro - and that means a much higher price - just because you happen to be placed in Europe or even just outside the US.
I am a bit fed up with writing webmasters of a lot of sites to get another link where the price is in $ - normally (9 out of 10) I get another link and many times a link to Epoch instead.

But:
Lately I wrote the webmaster of MetArt and got a new $-link after being charged Euro 29.95 (around $ 40)by CCBill - and it was still CCBill who now came back with a $ 29.95-price - something seems rotten.... "I don't drink anymore - I freeze it, and eat it like a popcicle"

Well, it seems like it works for you, anyway - when trying to sign up the price (via CCBill) was Euro 14.95 - and when pressing the US-flag you get $ 19.95 here in Europe.
BTW: Your site looks pretty good - consider joining.... "I don't drink anymore - I freeze it, and eat it like a popcicle"

FigureBaby.com stopped using regional pricing for the exact same reasons. With our audience mostly in Europe, we felt it hurt us more than it helped.

WHO IS TO BLAME????

This PU is almost worldwide - and thanks for that.
At least a lot of europeans are among PUs - this one included.
And this bad curency-deal at a lot of sites are really getting to be annoying.
BUT who generate this shit - is it the billing companies? The webmaster? The siteowners?
In this users experience it SEEMS most likely to be the billing-folks...
But lets get some more siteowners and webmasters to give some inputs on the matter, please...... "I don't drink anymore - I freeze it, and eat it like a popcicle"

The worst culprit I have come accross is CCBill.

Their rates in GB Pounds are excessive too! :0E Admiral of the PU Hindenburg. 2009 PU Award

I know I've mentioned this before but it seems some have missed it and are still confused about WHO decides if a site uses regional pricing.

You guys are blaming the wrong party when you fix the blame on CCBill. It's the site OWNERS who decide if their site will use the regional pricing model. CCBill simply provides the mechanism whereby the owners can charge different rates based on geographical location.

The only reason you don't see it with other billing companies is that they don't offer that option to the site owners.

Also, regional pricing has nothing to do with currency conversion. It's a marketing thing. The same principle as being charged a different price for a cup of Starbucks coffee depending on where in the world you buy it.

So, you want to fuss about regional pricing, that's certainly understandable. Just be sure to put the focus where it belongs ... on the site OWNERS. Former PornUsers Senior Administrator

Thanks for this one, Khan!
But still:
How does it explain that it's possible at A LOT of sites to write the webmaster/owner and ask for another link to pay the price in Dollars? At a price according to TBP.
Many times I've had the answer in form of another link send by e-mail - typical a link to Epoch or simply just another/ a different link to CCBill - and here the price suddenly is - yes, according to the TBP-stated price...
So bottomline: If you're stubborn enough, you can get the right/fair price...worldwide. "I don't drink anymore - I freeze it, and eat it like a popcicle"

Regardless of who is asking for it CCBill are implementing it.
It reads like you offer someone a service & then pass the blame on to them if they use it.

Because most people aren't going to bother doing that and will just pay the higher price.
