The most erotic non-porn movies What are some of the most erotic non-porn movies you've seen? Might be fun to share some titles here. (I searched for a thread on this topic but didn't find one -- sorry if I missed it. one71seven at yahoo) I nominate "Lila dit ça" or "Lila Says" (in French, subtitled, set in a poor immigrant Arab quarter of Marseilles). It is perfused by the lovely Vahina Gioconte who is experimenting with her coming-of-age sexuality, sexual fantasy, and her effects on young men. Two scenes stick in my mind: one where she gives the lead young man a HJ while they're riding a motorbike, and one where she is lying in a garden teasing him with fantasies. Oh, and there's one where she's on a swing and and invites the lead male to look up her skirt. Not porn, and showing nothing hardcore, but wonderfully erotic nonetheless. Unfortunately, it climaxes in a brutal rape scene which pretty much ends the fun. "Stealing Beauty" with Liv Tyler and Jeremy Irons and others (Dir. Bernardo Bertolucci) is right up there too. Set in Tuscany. A truly beautiful, touching, sensitive coming-of-age tale permeated by the lovely Liv, who doesn't mind showing some of her more delicate parts. And of course there's the scene in Rambling Rose where a young boy gets Laura Dern off in bed by playing with her privates beneath the covers. B Monkey (what, no page in Wikipedia!?) has lots of sexy nude scenes with the exotic Asia Argento. Lower City is pretty hot too. And then there are lots of movies with nude and sex scenes that aren't really that erotic. I could make a list of those, too, but I won't. Let's hear from other PU members! | |

I started a thread back in February, "Timeless Porn," and most of the responses were more softcore and erotic favorites (e.g. "Emmanuelle") rather than what I would call true porn. A couple of my favorites are the French film "Romance" (1999) -- Caroline Ducey, the actress who plays the film's main character damn near gave me a heart murmur I thought she was so beautiful. It also stars Italian Stallion Rocco Siffredi, who actually has a nude sex scene with her (and it's nice and graphic, though no closeups of course). It is a pretty serious, but nonetheless very erotic, drama with lots of nudity and sex (which always help films in my opinion). Italian director/dirty old man Tinto Brass has made some lighthearted, female ass-appreciative work -- my favorite among them being "Frivalous Lola" (1998, also called "Monella"), and "Cheeky!" (2000, also called "Trasgredire"). Both are Italian and quite funny in a girl-bending-over-with-guys-staring kind of way...what you might call erotic comedies, but since neither are American I would not call them vulgar. Ann Reinking in Bob Fosse's All that jazz drives me crazy. Watching her dance in that movie is a torture. Lawrence Kasdan did a good job in Body heat with a young Kathleen Turner. Theresa Russell in Black widow. Dorothy Malone as the bookstore clerk in The Big Sleep, making a pass to Bogart. Monica Vitti's legs in Modesty Blaise, actually, she wraps the neck of a guy with her legs wearing stockings. Ursula Andress barefoot flirtin' with Peter O'Toole in Whats up Pussycat. Kim Novak in Wilder's Kiss me stupid. Kate Capshaw in Indiana Jones in the Temple of Doom challenging Ford to come to her room, for a nanosecond you can watch her feet. Haydée Politoff wearing a bikini, and showing off her feet swinging her slippers thanks to Eric Rohmer in La collectionneuse. Grazyna Szaplowska in Krzysztof Kieslowski's film o milosci teasing a teenager, to avenge herself, till' he cums in his pants by telling him to touch her panties. Enough, i'm a very slow typer. My copy is Region 2, Usa's DVD's read region 1. Anyway, in www.amazon.co.uk they have all regions copies, i checked and it has english subtitles. I like the "All That Jazz" suggestion - and I definitely agree. "Emanuelle" was one of the most anti-erotic "erotic" movies I ever saw - I was rather horrified. The whole zipless fuck thing was just a complete freaking turn-off. I don't think I even stayed through the whole thing. The same director did a really goofy sci-fi/damsel in distress movie with Tawny Kitaen called "Perils of Gwendolyn", which I quite enjoyed and found to be very erotic. I have all the hot scenes of this movie -- the best of which take place near the end of this movie: Liv and her male companion are reclined under a tree, facing skyward and talking; she invites the shy boy to kiss her, and as the scene progresses he's awkwardly fondling her ultimatly culminating in a highly erotic sex scene. What's so exceptional here is the powerfully charged flashes of Liv's panties -- which includes a generous view of what else is under her skirt. If it's rated R or anything short of XXX, and the film goes as far as cable is allowed to play sex on American select channels, then I have it recorded. This goes back 20 years. Like the site "Mr Skin", All the hot scenes are extracted and put on VHS cassette. I have so many, in fact, Although they're labeled I'd be hard-pressed finding any particular movie from which to view any given scene. Every once and a while I'll grab a tape from the batch and run it on my out-dated VHS video player. It's a welcome breather (pun intended) from the hard stuff I'm immersed in coming through my computer. | |

The sex scenes were not simulated. There was a lot of controversy because of that during and after filming. I don't consider it a non-porn erotic film because it is only one scene, but the Chloe Sevigny BJ in Brown Bunny is still the most shocking thing that a well known actress has done in a motion picture.
