Videobox.com/CCbill etc - are my credit card/personal details safe?? I'm a cautious would-be downloader with a few online credit card safety questions. I'm interested in joining videobox.com, following good reviews. I would probably opt for the 10 month non-recurring $99.50 option. I've noticed this site takes you to either CCbill or Epoch for payment, and that it's credit cards only accepted there. I've read somewhere that these payment handlers don't accept prepaid/gift type disposable Mastercards, hence my increased caution. They also want full name/address info, I suppose this being essential to debit the cards. How safe/trustworthy are CCbill/Epoch, and the videobox.com site? It's easy to find online posts from unhappy subscribers to various other sites, who've ended up being stuck with higher charges than they realised, or who become locked into recurring fees which they cannot cancel. Stories of 'cancel links' which don't work, or payment companies which cannot be contacted, are all to be found on google. So I would appreciate some users feedback on these sites? I notice that videobox's terms & conditions state that all memberships are recurring, which kind of contradicts the 'non-recurring' 10 month option, and so I would like some user's experiences. I would also like to know if privacy policy claims, and those of payment processors, are adhered to, seeing as these guys get full names & addresses etc. | |

I use CCbill for years and never had problems with it. It's also very easy to manage all your subscriptions. I'm sure others can go into more details then me. | |

Never had any security/fraud problems with either CCBill or Epoch And over the years the payments always had been correct. Do not worry about cancel rebill either - it's easy and I've never been cheated here. So why not start up with joining VideoBox for a month - and save the rest of the money and cancel if your're not happy with - or if it's just the site for you - you can always rejoin. Hi, Thanks for the replies. Yes I am a new user, and it's hard to sometimes separate trustworthy sites which I don't mind paying for, from rogue ones to avoid. I'm hoping that the few negative comments online re CCbill are more to do with users not understanding the contracts they were getting into with the sites they join. Are addresses likewise safe once given to these payment takers? I wouldn't appreciate getting onto certain postal porn junk mail lists either...! I take from your comments (Denner) that you think videobox.com might not be ideal? Does anything stand out for Big Booty/larger women type sites? Don't much appreciate the current rather skinny trend in models, though I don't want the extreme 'chubby chaser' type stuff either. Know what I mean? Something more classically curvy/pear shape in between, like Charlotte Stokely or Isabella Stone, would be nice. | |

Well, user2000 From my own point of view, I think you can find almost anything you're looking for at VideoBox - also curvy girls (sorry, do not know those girls you refer to). By all means: try VideoBox for one month and cancel, if you do not like it - my recommendation is that you only spend $ 9.95 - the socalled DVD are almost NOT that good DVD or better than the average. Then again: try to go through TBP in your search for what you like - it's just the best place to search! There is a place called PORN NICHES. BTW: Welcome to PU from this user... I have been a VB subscriber for a very long time and am very happy with the content. But I will never start any site with a long term commitment to a site (like 10 months) until I get a chance to see if I really do like it. To deal with the credit card concern, I opened a new credit card account (with CitiBank) and requested a very low credit limit ($100.00). I monitor the account online and pay all charges as soon as they appear. If a site tries something like an unauthorized charge, my loss is controlled by the credit limit. But to answer your question directly, I have not had any problems at all with CCBill or with EPOCH over the course of 3 years. | |

CCBill is the PayPal of porn sites. I've never had problems with them. They never overcharged me and it easy enough to cancel the auto-renew. | |

user2000, ccbill, as the others have said is the best payment option. I haven't had any major problems with Epoch, but they have forgot to cancel two accounts I had, though they canceled them in their system and I wasn't charged. I did get access for 3 more months than I was paying for. The bad thing is, I didn't realize it until they sent me an email. But as far as those two overcharging, I've never had a problem with them. I'm starting to like VXS Billing as well. They have very fast replies to your emails if you have questions and they haven't overcharged either. One part that I don't know if anyone answered, about the 10 months non-recurring. What that means is, you can pay for 10 months at one time, usually at a discounted price. If you do that, I think Videobox is $99.95 for 10 months, you don't ever have to worry about them charging you again. Look at it this way, by paying non-recurring, it is like buying 10 months pre-paid. On the other part, Charlotte Stokely, from my memory had between 10-15 videos on videobox, I think Isabella Stone had a few. They have many on videobox that are of curvier women. The only things you won't find on videobox is gay content, though there is some shemale content, but not that much. My first time I jacked off, I thought I'd invented it. Hi all, Many thanks for the repiles, and assurances about CCbill. It's nice to read so many happy users on that score. Based on your advive, I think I will go via the monthly option initially with Videobox. I think I was attracted to the 10 month non-recurring option mostly because of doubts about the ease of cancellation once on a recurring plan. But you all seem pretty content on that front. Would you extend your trust to all sites using CCbill, seeing as they seem well regarded? Or do untrustworthy sites sometimes use good billing companies? Thanks also for the advice on the models I mentioned, it'll be worth a subscription just to find a few videos of those. | |

Not for a long period of time I'd say because companies like CCBill or Epoch will definitely loose money if one site that uses their services plays games with us pervs. I do hope you enjoy your subscription with Videobox and please let us know what you like or dislike there. It's just great to realize that more and more europeans - also - are joining up here at PU - do NOT think the vast amount of US-PUs will have the slightest against that - on the contrary. We got a fine thing going here in a mutual interest in searching for good porn - all of us - in the USA, Germany, Great Britain, Scandinavia and elsewhere.. It's something all of us here at PU have in common and it's good to see that all of you are not only focused on porn but have other interests as well. I love PU and think it's good that this site exists.
Hell, that was a good one and I enjoyed it so much. The Portuguese surely went crazy because of this match! I saw a lot of polish people dressed up for the match tonight but I didn't want to start a rumble telling them that they will loose ;-). | ||

Epoch and CCBill have both been glitch free for me for over 5 years. CCBill has a full history on its site of all past and present memberships which can be useful. Epoch does not so if you need some details, you'll need to call their 800 number. | |

Epoch has full history of all past and present memberships, when you signed up, when you cancelled, if it cancelled as a trial or as a recurring. I don't know if maybe they used to not do that, but it's been that way for at least the last 12 months when they had the redesign. | |

With CC bill I can get a complete summary of every membership I've ever had with them, when it started, when each credit card charge was processed and for how much, what log on info I used, any upgrades or changes in service, etc. With Epoch, I don't get any billing information at all. They don't even provide the subscription pricing. However I do get current sign-up/cancel history as uscus suggests. Although I'd prefer to be able to see all pricing detail, I can live without it. Back to the point. Both services are safe and reliable so there's nothing to worry about with either one of them. | |

Good last point from Monahan..... I have the same feeling/experience: Never had any problems with CCBill and Epoch. And about feelings: I do not have any doubts when joining through these two billing-systems - and it's of course because I've never been cheated there... With other billing-systems I always study their billing/cancel -policy very carefully. Strangely enough: I never get any billing-info from CCBill via mail - but almost always from Epoch. I use a prepaid Mastercard, and have never had any problems. The card has never been declined. I use a prepaid Mastercard since it seems to me to be a little bit safer. I've never been declined using it with either CCbill or Epoch. I was kind of concerned, too, with them wanting your mailing address. I have a post office box set up for that kind of thing. It's security for the card processors, since your submitted address must much the card address. Otherwise, it could be anyone using the card. I've never received any spam from these companies, be it email or snail mail. Nothing untoward has come to me by mail. Set up a post office box, if you're concerned about that. | |

My conclusion is that CCBill and Epoch, and their customer sites, make so much money from the sites' subscribers that they don't want to run any risk at all by trying to make a few extra bucks with any kind of "games" and pissing off their paying members. | |

I agree with preious posters: have used CCbill and Epoch several times, never had any problems, never received any spam. A one month $10 subscription to Videobox is a very good choice for the first time porn subscriber. If you are concerned receiving certain e-mails to your normal e-mail address then create a seperate "porn e-mail account" using hotmail etc, by doing so you also reduce the risk of getting more spam to your normal e-mail address. | |

CCBill and Epoch are the best. Never had a problem with them. I even list having CCBill as a plus in my reviews. Easy to cancel, easy to find my account status and totally honest. I don't trust a site that doesn't use them and wonder why not. | |
