You have to hand it to the American Woman... reason why European gals are f avored

Women haven't as yet become as aggresive sexually, as portrayed in our porn movies and vids... but who knows? maybe they'll one day get there.

During world War Two, the fondest memories of GI's coming home from liberated countries in The Europien theather involved their exerperience with the women there. Unlike the courtships our troops were used to with the girls back home --- strait-laced, prudish, morally and rigorously strict and genetically embedded with a puritanical belief that going all the way with boys would bring on catastrophic consequenses -- our GI's found polar-opposite with the girls over there.
German, French, Dutch, and even The pepper-hot-blooded Italian babes showed a far more open attitude in the ways of sexual endeavors than our gals -- and its fair to say from that resulted many relationships and marriages.
U.S. women have come a long way since then, but is, and will continue to be in catch-up mode when it comes the assertive European babes.
Maybe some of PU's European members have had experience with gals on both sides of the pond, and would like to comment on their view.

For those that are confused about the first part of the the subject..."You have to hand it to the American women" The empthisis is on "hand it" I hope you get the jest of the quote. Edited on Jun 03, 2010, 05:12pm

I'll stick up for the home grown American women. Sure, there are prudish women anywhere but I've met some great women here in the States that have no problem with being sexually repressed.

I visited the USA three times in the nineties. i was a teenager and i found your woman fantastic and forward. Quite a change of pace compared to the Spain of then. But we were teens, they weren't thinking about marriage and reproduction. well, perhaps they were, i don't know... but here i am safe and sound. so that's all i can say.

I met recently a spanish woman -a spaniard- who had been living in Germany and was pretty surprised on account of german women being sexually direct.

A friend of mine worked in the Czech Republic and was happily surprised in view of how spontenaous were the women about sex and nudity. Puritanism: The haunting fear that someone, somewhere, may be happy.

It is funny to see how this goes from west to east.
USA - girls in Europe more open towards erotic
Spain - girls in Czech Republic - spontaneous about sex and nudity
Czech Republic - our girls are beautiful and have no problem with their sexuality - but girls in Cambodia, Thailand or even Vietnam are much more feminine Women: Different hardware, same software

Well...I'll chime in with my usual cheery tone and say American society and culture are not exactly on the side of women and sex, so not all the blame should be placed on our girls. We demonize and politicize sex in a way that probably makes some Muslim countries think "Son of a bitch! Why didn't we think of that?!"

Seriously, there are school districts in the U.S. that teach abstinence-only sex education (which I think technically means it is not even sex education). If governments cannot even acknowledge basic human biology, especially concerning one of our pressing urges--you know, fucking--than I don't think as many women are ultimately going to be as forward, even if they wish to be. Zero tolerance is zero thinking, in my view, and that's how we have approached s-e-x for so long in this country that it's a wonder the suicide rate isn't higher.

Like you mentioned, graymane, religion has played a huge, shameful role, dismissing and suppressing sex as sinful and dirty rather than natural and normal. It also plays a role in sex education, birth control, abortion, or the lack thereof. Europe still has religion, it just doesn't use it to legislate or run the government the way we do.

Fortunately a lot of women are smarter than the prudes in charge, and they're making their way, regardless of a society and culture that's still has a way to go. "It's incredibly obvious, isn't it? I don't know where you have been, but your statement about WWII women may be right. However, I am from the USA and women these days revolve around sex. At least the women I have met from when I was the ages of 16-27 (present day), so like 1998 to 2010 in the age ranges of 15-35. I've actually have had women laugh in my face and break up/not want to see me again because I wanted to wait it out with sex. Maybe I'm not understanding the post exactly as I'm writing this. I'm talking about women from the 90's to present day, but weren't women from the late 60's and 70's considered pretty open minded and aggressive when it came to having sex? I mean the hippie age was known for 'free love' and sexual stimulation. I dunno, have u seen how women dress these days? I'd say they are pretty sexually assertive Sexted From My iPad

If you keep saying something is a forbidden fruit you're eventually going to get a lot of people interested.

But what can I say? Reminds me of a Red Hot Chili Peppers song; "Catholic School Girls Rule"! "It's incredibly obvious, isn't it? I wasn't implying that U.S. women weren't assertive... on the contarary, indeed they are...just not as much so as our European neighbors. My point: (according to my post) is that it was before, and later during my years as a youth -- early 40's on throughout the 50's, when mores relaxed as the 70's an' 80's sexual Revolution approached (from whence you're alluding to) that I'm talking about. Let me give you an example: during my High School years (1950-1954) if a girl allowed a boy to have sex with her, Her reputation immediately became toast. She'd subsequently be ostracized by classmates and left out any and all school activities. She was, in effect, an anathema. Even post school-years dating (1954-1960) was predominately limited to only light petting. If a guy were to succeed in getting as far as his hand in a gal's panties, he was hailed as a real "Ladies' Man". Gettin' laid crowned you as a consumate lover... an' one to be reckoned with. How time does change.

Exactly as you said, FORWARD....this is exactly what I was trying to state in my post. American women are very aggressive and assertive when to comes to sex, so I'd have to say there is no difference in countries (when comparing USA and Europe). At least these days, no way....Look at the new things about 'sexting' and so on and so on....USA girls are extremely slutty lol? Sexted From My iPad

Hmmm I'd still have to disagree, American women are extremely assertive and just the same when it comes to sex as our European friends. Yes, things like public nudity may be taboo at usa beaches but I can guarantee you most younger women these days would have no shame going to a European beach and exposing all. At least in my experience this is true, but I may be skewed as I live in a more urban area in the midwest...maybe it's a bit different in more rural areas where religion and small communities exist more. I dunno though, almost everywhere you go you will see the majority of the women in the summertime wearing close to nothing as it is..so who knows Sexted From My iPad

Ah crap I messed up and missread your reply. You are indeed correct that in the past American women were extremely shy and sexual relations before marriage were very taboo. Sorry about that, I went off an a tangent that made no sense because you were talking about women in the USA like 30+ years ago lol. Sexted From My iPad
