Stung by Braz Brazzers almost got me with their "unless you uncheck this box, we will make another website available without your knowledge, and charge you up the ying-yang for it, and hope you never check your bank statement" scheme. 3 months and 3 charges had gone by without my knowledge. I notified them immediately, and they have promised to credit those charges. Will keep you advised. | |

Yea years ago mystique-magazine.com gave me a nasty sting and refused to refund me. I was in the US at the time and joined - what they didn't disclose that part of joining included a subscription to DVD's they will send every month, so when I cancelled. My internet access was cancelled but they carried on sending me the DVD's and charging me for it. When I finally caught on because I had left the US the forckers wouldn't refund me. even though the DVD's were most likely returned I still say a church steeple with a lightning rod on top shows a lack of confidence | |

Way back when I signed up for my first porn site I was hit with that "uncheck the box" gimmick. The good part is that I received an activation email for the unexpected site. So I went to the site and found the contact info. I called the biller immediately and they canceled the charge without any hassle at all. Since then I read the sign up box very carefully, as well as the activation email, and I keep everything. So far, so good with my only beef being that a site doesn't deliver what it promises. It all boils down to taking your time when signing up and keeping a close eye on your bank statement or credit card statement. (I access both on line and question any strange charges instantly.) | |

Good practices and good advice. That business of "pre-signing" you to another site you hadn't asked for doesn't seem as common as it was earlier in the decade, but I still aways "scroll and scan" the sigup page carefully. And I only cancel from the site when there's no other choice, which is rare. I cancel at the billing company whenever possible. I wanted something new, so I left England for New England. | |

All refunds and subsequent credits from Brazzers are finally completed. Required many e-mails back and forth. | |
