What happened to Jay Sin content? I don't know if I'm the first one to notice that Jay sin content was now gone from Evil Angel's site or the only one not to have paid attention to what happened to him, but I just discovered tonight that his content was all gone from Evil Angel and when I did the google thing I found this from late March 2022: Evil Angel (c/o founder John Stagliano) Recently Jay Sin was convicted and imprisoned for "Access with Intent to View Child Pornography, in violation of Title 18 of the United States Code - Section 2252 (a) (4) (B)." Evil Angel has decided to remove all Jay Sin's content from our online distribution. A conviction of a sexually related crime is against the ethics of Evil Angel. I was informed of his indictment, conviction, and incarceration over the weekend and that was confirmed to me yesterday. Jay Sin's conviction is not related to any content distributed by Evil Angel. None of it was involved with, or contains, any criminal activity. The details on how to handle content from Jay Sin that has been marketed by Evil Angel customers, either through the Internet or by DVD, can be worked out by calling Alexandra Kelley in the Evil Angel offices alex@evilangel.com or by emailing me directly at john@evilangel.com. Well, that's freaking awful.

As far as I know EA doesn't own Jay Sin's content anymore than they own the content of the vast majority of their other producers. They are simply a distributor so a producer could request that all his/her videos be removed and I EA would have to comply but I don't think this is the case here so while EA may claim that they didn't want to be associated with a man who was convicted of owning child pornography. The fact that Jay pleaded guilty 2 years ago and Stagliano as only now removed Jay's movies tends point to the story coming out and Stagliano wanting to avoid negative blowback to the company as opposed to a moral stand point. Long live the Brown Coats.

Agreed 100% - I hadn't realized that Jay Sin had been convicted 2 years before the content was pulled. According to this article: https://mikesouth.com/reader-mail/is-the...-reader-email-72488/ Jay Sin's wife told Stagliano directly when the arrest occurred in 2020, which makes sense, since Stagliano has referred to Jay Sin as his friend, and if your spouse has been arrested, you'll probably let their friends and business partners know pretty quickly. The only think I can surmise is that EA & Gamma thought this might be a big problem with credit card companies before too long and they decided to act first and get on a high horse while doing so.

It's odd that Jay's conviction went unnoticed for so long. I suspect many people knew, but just kept a lid on it.
