Best DVD movie site? I'm just curious as to the experience people have had with sites like moviebox? I'm looking to join a DVD xxx site, that would have a multitude of DVDs to watch. It's hard to find exact details in the preview section of those sites, but some things I would want are... 1) no pay per view/minute. Give me a monthly fee for unlimited use. 2) I would like to be able to click a movie title, and see screens from each scene in the movie, and then download the wanted scenes. 3) have older movies, 80's and early 90's from lots of different companies... Vivid, cabellero, wicked, elegant angel... Etc.. 4) good search capabilities. 5) decent quality of playback. Doesn't have to be HD quality. Any suggestions or advice? | |

I almost always recommend Videobox over the other DVD sites just because of the sheer number of DVDs they have and have started adding High Definition DVDs, in the last year or so. Videobox is strong in quantity and also in offering many different studios. The problem is, if you want all their Vivid DVDs, you have to add their Vivid channel. It's $15 more a month to add. Evil Angel has their own channel on there too and it's also $15 a month. This doesn't mean you won't get any Vivid or Evil Angel videos from Videobox standard, but if you do want a lot from those studios you will most likely have to add their channels. Since you're looking for advice, this is what I would do. I would join Videobox through the link under the name. Should be $12. Download as much as you can for a few weeks. After 2 weeks, add the Vivid and Evil Angel channels. Since you will only have them for 2 weeks, the price is prorated to $7.50 a month for each. I think that's the most cost and time efficient way to build a collection through Videobox. Your total costs would end up only being $27. They also cover all 5 of your wants. The only one that will be hard is search capability. I have yet to find a DVD site that really has great search capability. I'm guessing it's just a matter of so many videos they can't always get it right. The other option for a wide variety would be Videoz, but if you're looking for Vivid especially, Videobox with the Vivid channel is the way to go.
