Another Possible HIV performer.

Yup here we go again. I read on a couple of sites that there is another possible HIV performer in the industry. The news is quite fresh so no way of knowing who it is right now. All I can say is that the FSC is calling for a precautionary production hold. At this point I'm not sure at which number of HIV infected performer we are at in the last two years but I think this is the fourth time in as many years that there is a moratorium. Long live the Brown Coats.

And as it goes, a stalwart for the concern for safe-sex in this burgeoning industry .... you've again made an excellent case for your efforts to quickly see the day condoms will be mandatory.
One simply cannot morally argue against your caring pursuit getting the word out concerning the consequences at risk to performers exercising the non-use of condoms acting out sex scenes. Salutations to Pat are deservingly in order.

My contention has always been the fact billions flow into an industry bursting at the seams with cash flow who somehow can't, or will not find some way a condom won't be visible to viewers (like myself) who're completely turned off at the mare sight of them.

Hey, guys.... men are walking on the moon for goodness-sake. Work on fooling the masses like me that his sheathed member looks like the real thing. ( "thing" ... a pun I couldn't resist)

^I don't think it would matter if there was a cheap way of digitally removing condoms in scenes. It would probably always be more expensive than most are willing to pay or to time consuming to do it. That and everyone who makes porn knows that one of the biggest studios at the moment only shoots condom porn and they have done so for decades without having money problems.

I know you always get very vocal people saying that they will never watch a condom porn scene and I believe some of them when they say it but if tomorrow the entire US porn industry went mandatory condom for penetration sex and that meant that you would get to see more newbies or existing performers to stay longer in the industry and do more stuff than most of those complainers would still watch porn. They would probably bitch about it but they'd watch it anyway. Long live the Brown Coats.

au contraire, our most learned and dutifully respected among his PU peers .....
I'm in your corner, pat, almost all the way concerning this matter. Think my heart don't reach out for those in the industry who become victims, facing the worse from this cruel and murderous invader?
However, Warning Signs are up everywhere along the highway leading right up to the doorsteps to the perils associated with chancing one's choice of getting into such a risky business. Who knows?

Because of the sheer volume of disenchantment among those out-of-favor with using condoms .... then this argument of who could and who shouldn't ought to be paramount at finding a solution acceptable aiding all parties.

I don't want to come across here as "beating a dead horse" but, in my mind, the answer clearly puts the ball in Porn producers and the Studio's court. Being it's theirs, as well as paid performers' livelihood, then it ain't rocket-science figuring-out who ought to be at the forefront getting serious and acting on it.
The answers isn't going to wash up on shore with a box containing all the answers.
