Ran out of porn.... Hi folks, appreciate I don’t contribute to this site, I do regularly check in though and appreciate all of the regular contributors reviews, threads etc thank you for those btw. Something has been bugging me recently so I thought I would share this & see if anyone else sees this as an issue... So as the title suggests I feel I’m running out of new porn to view, I feel I’ve been to pretty much every site that suits me and now I’m just revisiting for new content every few months, true I have a great collection but I don’t get that buzz that you get when you find a new site that’s awesome anymore.. this just me or anyone else in the same boat...? | |

Interesting thoughts, blueron. I find my porn habits like those of a hunter. I have more porn collected than I could ever watch but I still enjoy the hunt for the elusive new "buzz." I have a regular routine of checking the free sites of pornusers, xvideos, xhampster, and motherless to see if anything exciting or new pops up. The quality of photography and video on these sites is mediocre, however, but it sometimes gives me the name of a particular site, actor, or actress to check up on. If I were young I sure think I would be tempted to create sites with more interesting themes (I would love games and contests that end up with awesome sex acts instead of the more prosaic settings). Japanese porn is often weird and interesting, but too often is censored for me to join them. Jay G | |

I find that occasionally I too find myself discouraged I can't find that fantastic new site I've never seen. My way of dealing with it is to just take a month or two off from collecting and viewing porn. Then when I come back to it I feel a sort of excitement about looking at sites (even ones I've been to often) and at my collection. As Onyx said, it ties in to how the dopamine receptors in the body work. You get numb to the buzz eventually. Best to stay away from the stimulus to reset your dopamine receptors. Just wait until you are in your eighties. The thrill of downloading and watching porn is really rapidly disappearing. Don't think it has anything to do with age (well, it will to some extent) but mostly with how long you have been watching porn. What disturbs me most is the sameness of most material found on sites that feature videos. I think Gonzo is slowly killing porn. Everyone with a handheld camera can now produce videos and because most follow the same formula the novelty factor is disappearing. Gonzo: Minimal story or foreplay, switch directly from fully clothed to naked, start with fellatio, switch to cunnilingus, then vanilla, after that cow girl, taken from behind .. then money shot! Every darned video is the same. I get more excitement out of "Eyes Wide Shut" than the average video from VideoBox. Porn has to return to a story line, foreplay, leisurely stripping, and then the sex act. Either that, or it will have to become harder and harder, skirting the illicit, to appease the tastes of those who used to love Gonzo and are now bored with the same scenes, video after video! | |

I don't think that it's exactly industry inside information, but a lot of smaller sites are being bought out by big porn producers. And I think that's leading to a feeling of "sameness" across many more sites - even if it also means that production values are on the rise across a lot of them. You really have to dig to find something more unique - granted, if you're into kinkier stuff, you might have better luck. It's not necessarily my cup of tea always, because it can get a bit too intense for my liking. But I've seen trailers for some of the Fetish Network sites and they're productions seem epic! They're like pornographic horror films. Something to maybe check out? But be warned, it's rough sex that really pushes the envelope for me. A bit too dark in nature, but I got spooked after watching Scary Movie 2.  | |

^I don't like rough stuff either so I am in a bit of a quandary. I keep waiting for someone to rediscover porn with a bit of a story but Gonzo is King. I eliminated (filtered) Gonzo on Video Box which left me with a couple of hundred videos, most of them "classics." Question to whoever is reading this: Are you not slightly bored with Gonzo and if you are not what makes it still attractive to you. Young porn users are excused from this semi-official poll because everything will turn them on at that age!  | |

From 2005-2010, I almost exclusively only joined solo model and girl/girl sites with the occasional DVD site (Videobox, Videosz, etc) thrown in. I mostly liked glam models who were kinky with themselves. I've always believed it had to do with growing up in Los Angeles. We had a lot of normal, average, pretty girls but we also had dozens of those girls who were in high school but dating guys in major universities. So, when I wanted to fantasize it was natural for the fantasy to be about the girls who wouldn't give us normal guys the time of day. To see them being kinky was even better. I also didn't really like any amateur content. I don't think I've ever had any negatives towards women but it goes back to I saw porn as fantasy. So, why look at women who I could probably date in real life? I like all races of models, even most body sizes, to me there's a thrill just seeing someone get naked in front of a camera and if they have something that would deter most people, like being a little overweight, it turns me on more towards them for having the confidence to do it anyway. My first time getting bored with porn was when my favorite Eve Angel stopped shooting. For years, I had a new picture set or video, every day of her. I originally started trying different content, meaning, not softcore, not solo masturbation and the closest I found to a distraction was the Kink websites (It's now a network). I didn't like hard content at all but in moderation it was shifting my brain and to an extent, hormones, as others have mentioned above. By watching the harder content it caused me to focus more on what I liked. That caused my old favorite Eve content to be looked at differently than I had before. It could be something as simple as seeing her butthole and thinking about the hardcore Kink content where a finger or dildo would have been stuck in her butthole. Then things changed in my real-life situation and it caused my sexual hormones to be flipped around. I started realizing nearly everything I liked about solo porn revolved around my interest in voyeurism and exhibitionism. One side of me liked watching the woman masturbate like I wasn't supposed to be seeing it while the other side of me would watch for the parts where the woman became more aroused (could visually tell) and would convince myself that was when she caught me watching her and it turned her on. That has led to me favoring exhibitionism, voyeurism and amateur models more than glam models, now. The physical attraction isn't as important as the attraction to what action they're doing. I very well could be going way too deep into porn with this but I've never done real well with what we call cookie-cutter porn. Even when I liked a model like Eva Angelina or Jynx Maze, their hardcore scenes were predictable and repetitive so I would try to trick my mind into believing I was seeing something different or more complex than it was. That's worked in nearly all porn for me. I can still recognize that it's dull but if I add my twist to it, it works. With that being said, two sites, Zishy and FTV Girls, have now kept my interest for nearly 3 years each. FTV has enough exhibitionism to let my mind work with the scenes and Zishy, a mostly non-nude site, allows my mind to take FTV exhibitionism scenes and combine them with Zishy's mostly-clothed, flashing photo sets to create very good fantasies. It helps that a lot of the models on Zishy also have sets on FTV that are nude. I would compare it to a popular amateur niche of clothed picture/nude picture. Last, I have found that the nutrition and supplementation I take in changes my moods towards porn. Over the last few months I've been taking a combination of vitamins to slow my hormones from aging or shifting too much . As much as I would like to say switching genres fixes it, I really think it's mostly in the user's head, though I think Zishy is a good, cheap option to try (think it's still $29 a year). The tease factor on it always makes me appreciate nude sites more. My first time I jacked off, I thought I'd invented it. I can’t speak for everyone here but it’s likely that since most of us here fall into the category of porn collectors we’ve fallen into that same malaise before. I know that I have and it happens occasionally. Like you, I just get bored. Also like you, I have a list of sites that I rejoin regularly but those don’t often give me the thrill of finding a new site that I like. My experience is that it’ll pass on its own. It always has for me. One way that this drought often breaks for me is when I stumble onto a niche I hadn’t seen before. Incest-themed porn is an example of this for me. I’m not particularly into the whole incest thing, but I like porn that builds some sexual energy and tension before letting go in the sex and the incest niche usually does that. So for me, at least, that niche broke the drought once. Depending on the size of your collection and how attached you are to it, a porn drought can also be put to good use in culling your collection. I have a large collection (30+TB) and can be a hoarder if left unchecked. But now I use the downtime in downloading to go through my collection and delete scenes that I’ve never watched or have watched only once. Keep an eye on the “New Site Listings” at the TBP side of this site. Also, there is a thread where PU members list new sites they’d like to see listed here. Both of those can be a great resource for finding new sites you might like. Good luck! | |
