Masturbation is the cure for Hay Fever?! Some good news for Hay Fever sufferers - especially here i am quite sure! Apparently (see my blog today for more details - link in sig) having a wank can help alleviate the symptoms of Hay Fever! What do we think of this? Ah, the New Scientist is such a good magazine, I've been meaning to resubscribe for a while now. I just wish it wasn't so bloody expensive. Though I do suppose you get quite a bit of print per dollar. Well I can attest that I don't suffer from Hay Fever, or Allergic rhinitis as the scientist types like to call it, but I doubt that works as a proof of concept for the theory. I wonder if the Weather Channel will start playing porn on high pollen count days. After all, it would be a good public service to help the public service themselves. The only way to verify such claims is to perform a large scale government subsidized scientific test. We need to build a large comfortable village within a natural hayfever zone (I'm thinking some recently built suburban foreclosure hell ... let's just buy outer Phoenix with our research bailout dollars and use that). Then populate it with a mix of moral majority prudes and PU die-hards and pornstars. The pornstars and PUer's will be "forced" to engage in manual stimulation at least twice a day while getting free access to a variety of porn sites if not participating in creating new material for the porn sites. The moral nut jobs will be required to pray for divine allergy relief while protesting outside of the temporary porn studios. Everyone will be tested daily during allergy season. If the "manual partakers" have fewer symptoms we can all get prescriptions for porn sites and charge that the damn HMO's. If you have bad hayfever you claim a disability and call in sick saying that you need to stay home and watch porn to cure your allergies. Hmm, I always wondered why I never suffered from allergies too much... But weren't we told in the early '90s that masturbation was a safe way to avoid STDs? I am pretty sure at least one surgeon general lost a job over that. Of course, now they sell truckloads of Viagra and Cialis to all the old men who can afford it, so maybe getting a prescription of, say, a discounted multi-month subscription to a decent site is not out of the question?
