Jaimie Gillis passed away We can add a third big star from the golden age of porn that has passed away. Jaimie Gillis died from melanoma. He was only 66 yrs old. The world is a strange place. we had a recent thread about which avatar we would be if we could chose and I said Jaime Gillis. Many guys only care about which girl(s) will be in the scene. The guy is simply the tool. I've always been of the opinion that it's a game played with at least 2 players and if they aren't well matched then the scene will suffer. Jaimie was a guy who really seemed to appreciate the "belly down flat" position. I've always wondered if he insisted on it. One of the few scenes of Annette Haven doing that was in Lust At First Bite, with Mr. Gillis doing the honors. Same thing with Ginger Lynn. I just blow a fuse when I watch that shit. Jaimie Gillis was one of the great all-time male performers in porn - clearly a serious perv, he was great at playing ominous characters - and in the crazy 70's, I remember going to a Pussycat Cinema and seeing a disturbing flick where Jaimie was doing home invasions and administering forced enemas to the girls who lived in the apartments he invaded. I thought his best performance was in Alex DeRezny's Babyface 2, one of the best porn features ever, as far as I'm concerned. The memory of Jaimie burned into my mind, though, is seeing Jaimie in person. I was walking around San Diego in an area with a lot of coffee shops on a sunny Sunday afternoon. A little girl had let go of her balloon, which had caught in the eves of the coffee shop. The girl's father had climbed on a table to "rescue" the balloon, and as he got it, there was Jaimie Gillis, sitting in a table next to the action, applauding the dad, saying "Yeeeaaayyy, my hero!" | |
