One of my favorite holidays from when I went to school in the States. This is the first year in many that I never made it down to the US to celebrate the 4th with my friends. Seemed kinda empty this year actually. | |

The real holiday we should be celebrating this year is December 5th. Why? Because it's the 75th anniversary of the repeal of prohibition here in the U.S. I believe it's our constiutional duty to observe this date (those living abroad, feel free to tip a few back as well). Besides, if you get in trouble with your significant other or the law on that date, you can just claim that you were exercising your 21st Amendment rights ... an excuse any rational person would accept ;) | |
