Am I just being too courteous? I might be the only person here who even thought of this, but probably not. This might only apply to me because I write reviews in Word and then copy-and-paste them into the PU page. This probably doesn’t apply if you just write your review in the specific page. I tend to take a few days to write a review so I have to do it in Word. So…if you’ve written a review and are ready to post it and you see that someone (especially, but not only a ‘regular’) just posted a review, do you wait to post yours to give the other review more time at the top of the list? I was just about to post a review of Jurassic Cock and I see that Drooler recently posted a review of Private Worlds. Drooler writes great reviews so I don’t want to bump him out if the front of the line just yet. So am I being courteous or just weird? | |

Boy, what a nice way of doing things here at PU - AND, yes - being courteous...no, rearadmiral, you are NOT weird, att all. Greetings to rearadmiral for that way of thinking  Give room - and (like rearadmiral mentions): "I don't want to bump him out in the front of the line just yet" ...... and a bit like Jim Morrison once did a phrase on stage: Give the singer some......... So yes - let a NEW review be in front for a while - we've got all the time in the world.... Nice input/thread! It's funny you should say that, I do pretty much the same thing writing reviews in Word and take my time over it then post it when i'm ready. I've never actually thought about pushing somebody's review off the top before so i guess you must be a much more courteous guy than me....lol. Funny thing was i posted a review of Breath Takers last night and it stayed on top for all of 10 minutes and there was a review posting frenzy and within 35 minutes it had been pushed down to 6th place. | |

A good example..... I missed tangubs review of Breath Takers for this reason (- and of course because I did not go down through the former reviews - enough) - they sometimes just come in too fast and too many. So now I'll take a look at exactly Breath Takers - seen some trailers earlier, but not really checked the site out - stand by for a reply  ... So does it or should it matter if the review is a detailed from one of the regulars or if it is a short review from a newer PU? I don't think it should matter, but it might impact on how long I'd wait to kick it from the top of the list. | |

Well, it's time to fess up our "clean little secrets" here at PU. I've also waited to post a review to let one in the current "prime spot" on the home page enjoy some "i-time," if I may coin the term. I don't know if I just did or not. I figure a day is time enough. That's what I allowed BradlyH. I've sat and gloated at the sight of my latest one sitting all pretty there a few times today. It is kind of a bummer to see yours get less than an hour before it winds up on the text list. (Yes, it's small beer, I'll have to admit.) Kudos to rearadmiral for being a gentleman! And feel free to post whenever you wish! I wanted something new, so I left England for New England. | |
