Annoying folder settings - Help! Any wizards here? First - my English is getting rusty with age - so bare with me: Got this extremly annoying problem with folders/settings. I got Windows Vista Home Premium 64 bit: Her it goes: I have hundreds of folders with stash: Say Folder A - in here are other folders of each model/gender ect. I open a models-folder - and then play a video. When closing down the video, that particular folder goes back on the windows screen and gets behind the primary folder - every time - tried to mingle with folder settings - but nada. Funny, it only happens with vids - not pix-folders..... Help!! "I don't drink anymore - I freeze it, and eat it like a popcicle"

Hmmm... it's weird I'm trying to figure out the problem/solution but nothing comes in mind. Seems like a focus/scope issue in the OS but I really don't know what could cause that. Maybe it has to do with your video player preferences and settings but I doubt that. Here's some questions to help us solve the problem: What video player are you using? Do you have any folder/user interface/addons/customization programs and/or utilities installed that could produce this kind of folder behavior? Did you select option "Open folder in its own window" in your folders View Options/General Tab? Thanks for answering.

Try Xplorer2 its free and can either replace Explorer or be and additions. I use ans an addition and have a good video preview built in. The settings are easier to do in that program, been using it about 8 years in XP and now Win7 Since 2007

Thanks guys It was actually the video player: Gom - not the folder settings. Gom is the 1. choice - and associated with all files. When opening with VLC or the good ol' Media Player Classic the problem did not occur. Got rid of the Gom and downloaded the former version - that works fine now.......
