SEINFELD OR FRASIER? Anyone here like TV? Seinfeld and Frasier are two of my all-time favorite shows. I find them both to be incredibly well-written really, really funny, even though they're both quite different from one another. Anyone have any thoughts on which show they thought was better? If you love Seinfeld, give Curb Your Enthusiasm a try. George is based on real life events from Larry David's life. (Yes the eating the roll out of the garbage really did happen.) As for Seinfeld or Frasier, I like them both as they are different. I give the edge to Seinfeld as Frasier stretched out its life a few extra seasons. Seven seasons would have been a good run for the show. "Dogs think people are Gods. Cats don't as they know better." - Kedi (2016) Dogs have masters; Cats have staff.

I never watched Seinfeld until it was in syndication. I enjoyed the premise. Four narcissistic individuals and the chaos their lives made to themselves and those around them. Warning Will Robinson

Both had the same basic attributes of a great core group of interacting characters and great timing in the way the material was presented. I really like the vaudeville-like style of performance that both came out of. James Brooks, who directed Frasier, is known for having directed by sound without looking at the action. His theory was that if it worked as "radio" - the sound alone, it was going to be successful TV. He was definitely proven correct on that score. Which series was better? I dunno. Frasier leaned to having more well-rounded characters, especially as the series went on, similar to Big Bang Theory. Seinfeld was interesting in being committed to having the characters continue to be shallow, self-absorbed shits - proving it in spades in the final series episode. Seinfeld was also interesting in having the central character be the least talented actor on the show - and surrounding him with such incredibly good actors & having such great writing that it didn't really matter. Both shows - and others such as Big Bang Theory = are great comfort food TV - perfect for streaming an episode before going to sleep.

Such a hard decision to make, but ultimately, if I had to choose, I'd go with Seinfeld. Also, this is awesome: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=1cjZHAyrf4E You don't understand. A garage. I can't even pull in there. It's like going to a prostitute. Why should I pay, when if I apply myself, maybe I could get it for free?- George Costanza

What I remember of Frasier is that the lead characters were well-spoken, even when it wasn't necessary; it was just their habit of behavior. That was one of the funny elements of the show, whereas the characters in Seinfeld spoke closer to the common idiom and would sometimes seem to struggle to rise above it. I know this doesn't answer the question of which I thought was better. Sorry about that, but I can't say because I watched more Seinfeld than Frasier. I wanted something new, so I left England for New England.
