So Evan Stone's the token male. One of the first vids I saw him in was at Jack's Playground (or was it Teen America?). The girl had a stuffed toy on her butt as she was laying on a couch. Nice link, Pink. An interesting reply to the list was the guy that said he had a huge porn collection but hadn't heard of half the girls. That applies to me. I haven't heard of half of them and wouldn't recognise any of them. Sasha Grey I've heard of, but wouldn't recognise. Only one I might recognise would be Belladonna. I thought it was a pretty good list, definitely USA-centric. I don't know if they looked at web-site popularity as well as as DVD sales. Adult DVD Empire shows Kayden Kross as their #3 most popular porn star, Tori Black as #7, Ashlynn Brook as #12, Jenna Haze as #18, none of the rest of these performers in their top 25 A forum that gets a huge amount of traffic also lists Kayden and Tori alone in their top 10 - I think both that forum and Adult DVD Empire's lists could change daily depending on search count/sales. From a perspective of canvassing trends in the industry, Belladonna and Joanna Angel were smart inclusions because they have stood out from the pack in the way they handle their business affairs, took control of their own careers. | |

Here are my views on this list. -This is a USA-centric only list so that's why you won't see any European names on it. -I've heard of each of these performers but only a select few are still active i porn or ever made it on my list of interresting porn performers. *Sasha Grey was good once but she hasn't done a porn movie in over a year. There were a couple of movies released last year but these were filmed in 2009 or before. *Belladonna is a director now. She may appear from time to time in some of her movies but it's all G/G or cameos and frankly most of it is getting hard to watch because it's not wood inducinng in the lest. *Jesse Jane has been in the biz for 8 yrs but has only done 64 movies up to now and 7 of which were last year. *Ashlynn Brooke only did 6 movies last year and 3 of those were parodies. *Jenna Haze and Bobbi Starr should definetely be on this list. Bobbi a little more than Jenna but that may be more for newer content than anything else. Long live the Brown Coats. | |

^How true. The longer you've watched porn. The larger your favorite list becomes and how suprising many of the ones on todays list would probably never have made it on past ones. I was never a big fan of Amber but I can respect that she was super popular. Now Misty has always been popular and a performer that always gave great sex scene. Long live the Brown Coats. | |

I just finished a year subscription with 21sextury and Sophie Moone, Blue Angel, and Aletta Ocean had their own sites on that network. I don't think a web network would give a private site to a woman unless she is very popular. They were popular with me. The question is, do these web stars make as good or better money working exclusively for a website then they would with a major video producer like Wicked or Vivid? Warning Will Robinson | |

None of them have ever been exclusive to 21Sextury. Sophie Moone has wound down her activity quite a bit, but she was one of the most popular Euro-models in her prime. Blue Angel and Aletta Ocean are both very active - by European porn producers as well as the US. Both have been used by many studios. All things being equal, my understanding is that independent porn performers make more than contract stars. But that's only a matter of contract salary for the set number of films per year. Smart contract stars use the promotion by the studio to get related gigs - feature dancing or being paid for appearances, being licensed for adult toys, etc. And it can work with some performers' lifestyle. Jesse Jane describes herself as a soccer mom. Doing a small number of films per year from one studio gives her the freedom to spend a lot of time with her son. Then she can make the bucks feature dancing a certain number of weekends a year. | |

She's planning her retirement based on when she thinks it will be a big hassle for him. Family values - hell, yeah - she obviously cares about him and makes him a big part of her life and wants to have the bucks to provide him the best life she can.
