A warning about an email offer that you might get I’ve had several offers to rejoin sites that bill through the Fame network. The offer is a low price and includes the offer of a free 30 day membership to a site called Hardcore Super Porn. I joined Reality Junkies this way and took the free offer. My advice if you get the same offer is to avoid the optional free membership to Hardcore Super Porn. You won’t be missing much as the site is almost impossible to use and what they do have appears to be very similar to Videobox. Many of the studios and titles are the same and they have the same low resolutions too. The confirmation email was from “The DVDbox network,” so it might even be affiliated with Videobox. When I tried to cancel the membership to avoid a charge the link directed me to Gamma Support but no membership could be found. That could mean that I don’t really have a membership that could be rebilled, but it could also just be a problem. I’ve emailed them for confirmation. My advice is to avoid the free offer if it comes your way. The site is crap and cancellation problems add to the frustration. | |

Yes I got this offer too. I didn't know what "Hardcore Super Porn" was, and didn't take up their offer. Another mail offered free membership to Longbucks sites. Sometimes if you try to investigate further you can end up automatically signed up to something you don't want, so I didn't look any further to see if it was genuine. | |

Ditto that. Whenever I get any super duper special offer from any site I immediately go to TBP and PU and check it out. If it's not listed, I'm gone. If it is listed I read the reviews and comments before I even go to the site. So far only a small number of these sites show up on TBP/PU, and those that do are reported to be dormant. | |

I also try to do that as often as possible but I get some offers that no one can match and that's why I use them instead of going through TBP/PU Long live the Brown Coats. | |

Me too, as I do not trust email ads. Even paypal and ebay in my email I just go to the site and look. TB is a great entrance point and safe because they realize if they pointed customers to a sifting site or malware it would not be good for the rep. Since 2007 | |

I'll also take email offers, as pat said, but only from sites that I know and have been a member at in the past. Sometimes the offers are too good to refuse. Directly related to my reason for starting this thread, I should have reported that I heard back from the site and there was no recurring billing. That doesn't change my recommendation to avoid this add-on site. | |
