Interactive porn - yay or nay?

I noticed that some sites out there are recently trying to take a step into the "virtual" theme, combining videos with little adventure games (chatting, finding hot-spots etc.), thereby giving the viewer some sort of control over or interactivity with the movie.
The examples I've seen so far are all rather dull though, lacking either quality (i.e. small flash videos), or originality (very limited interactivity) or an incredibly stupid price system. I think there is room for improvement in this particular section.
What's your opinion about this? Are you interested in interactive porn? Or do you prefer to just download and watch?

Someday good interactive games with hot sex will be available, I'm sure......fantasies acted out are missing a lot when violence is the only choice, but American society which still dominates gaming believes showing a human being being "blown away" by bullets is acceptable, but a human being being blown by a sex partner is obscene........so it will be awhile. Well, there are a few options:

There is 3DSexvilla which is a dated engine.

Sexsim.com which is being developed by a small team.

Virtualfem.com which uses potted video clips.

None can be considered realistic at this point, but all of the above can be entertaining.

I disagree, Capn.

3DSexvilla is fun for like an hour until you find out that your options are pretty limited.

Virtualfem is an absolute joke in my opinion. low res videos with mostly ugly models and a borderline retarded AI. There are better flash strip games out there. For free.

Haven't tried sexism.com yet though. But I tried the new 21sextury interactive site (beta is available for members iirc). Same thing: just a big video chopped up into smaller pieces and the interactivity consists of "ass" or "tits", leading to the next video sequence.

There is so much room for improvement in this area, yet so many bad of haf-hearted attempts to really do something new and exciting.

I used to have an interactive site with photos a LONG time ago (It was a spinoff of AMOC called AMOC Interactive). The sets I tried out then were fairly simple but I wanted to explore doing interactive stories with the technique. Sadly the idea never got beyond a basic test with just a few models.

The problem with video is continuity. Photos as a medium are much more forgiving when things go a little askew, videos - especially with dialogue - rely on everything in the shoot going perfectly. End up with just one critical clip not working out and the entire shoot can be ruined (ie you end up with a set of clips which cannot be used as contiguous set). I'm not saying it can't be done (and done very well) but it is really expensive to do properly.

I thought AMOC Interactive would have been successful but I had members complaining that there was no slideshow option. There seemed to be little interest in being able to undress the models any way you wanted, or the ability to choose which way to take it next. Maybe the world wasn't ready for it a decade ago? Well, I liked it then & I still like it now.

You're definitely right here. However, all it takes is a bit of proper planning and setting up a story board as well as following a clear path (i.e. you need to be 100% sure what exactly you are trying to create... an adventure, a dialogue based chat up game, an interactive movie etc.).
Yes, the production might be expensive, because depending on your setup you need to shoot a ton of different scenarios. Maybe it's not a solution for a site or a network, but for a movie/game hybrid thing?!

TBH I don't care for any video based 'interaction.'

I would rather have the whole thing as a videogame.

It's not really aimed as an interactive sex game, it's more of a "create and direct your own stories" with virtual cameras and models.

I know, pinkerton. And I never looked at it as if it was something different (although I think the engine has a lot of potential). What I meant to say is, that it's basically just reduced to chosing a position, chosing a tool, chosing the clothes. And after the third scene, you quickly realize, that it's all basically the same.

@Capn, yes, me too, because it's way easier to produce. However, I suppose that a videogame would automatically reduce the target group.

Once I got bored with the interactive games I started making up my own storyboards and assembling my own "movies" and then SexVilla got more interesting, well at least until I'd exhausted all the combinations of models and accessories.

I remember "MacPlaymate." You had this sort of animated female laying back and kicking her legs and fondling her breasts a bit while you dragged and dropped various sex toy pictures into the region of her joy box.

Said sex toys would then "fuck" the MacPlaymate. I can't recall if there was a score, but it was kind of fun for a short time.

I think it came out in the early '90's.

These days, you'd need one powerful game to keep people in it, something like "Jenna Haze Quest" (a just-made-up title) with her as the grand prize. Then you'd have all kinds of evil obstacles getting in your way, like canceled flights to SoCal or a home invasion or ugly sluts you have to fuck first or a testicular cancer scare or the fiscal cliff, to name just a few.

And just as you'd be getting really close to Jenna, they'd hit you with Proposition B and you'd have to suddenly go out on a petition drive and so forth. (I mean, hey, you wouldn't want to have to wear a condom!)

Well, for what it's worth. Love doesn't have to be a game. Porn, for that matter, doesn't either. I wanted something new, so I left England for New England. Edited on Dec 20, 2012, 07:52am

YAY to interactive porn! Downloading and watching use to be in the early 2000's. Today people watch it online on Tube sites. But the future lies in interactive porn. I've heard there is a game being developed where the characters look very real. The player has a first person view where he can do it any way he wants. There are controls for the girl bot to change position and all that stuff. [ SIG Spam Removed by PU Admin ]

Just curious, is there such a thing as adult games that are sold generally, in regular stores? I've seen plenty of games on the shelves that are marked "adults only" but this is always in connection with violence. I have yet to see one that features sex and nudity.

^There may be one but I certainly have never heard of it. If you think about it. Which mainstream company would even consider having their name associated with a sexual themed game? That's not to say that the people who own and make games wouldn't want to do it but the backlash they would face if it was discovered that they had done one would kill their real market which is still mostly young children and teens.

Wasn't there somekind of unloackable option in one of the Grand Theft Auto games where the player could pretty much have sex with any of the female characters? That was something one of the programmers did so these guys and girls do like sex. It's just that the company doesn't want to kill their golden egg laying Goosse. Long live the Brown Coats.

Xbox is very clear they will not allow it period, and so far foreign manufactures get blocked by updated so the number onegame machine will never allot it and each year the say the same.

WII and Playstation have similar rules in the US, but Japan does sell Xrated playstaion games online. I cannot say where because I think shipping here is not legal. Since 2007

I really cannot understand why it should be legal and not even raise an eyebrow to publish games featuring dismemberment & death, whilst they will recoil in horror if a game were to dare to show a naked body!

It defies logic to me.
