Does porn keep you from cheating Just another thought as summer has hit Northern Europe with sunshine and warm weather and all those pretty girls/women out there with a better view of this and that due to less clothing ect.: And that does something for the libido! And the desire to fuck each and every one of them But PUs married or in steady relations - will you back off, if the chance was there? - or would you back off if you met an old/former girlfriend and with the thought: "Wauw, you never looked that good when you were mine" - and she said: "Hey, let's meet again". Would you stand back to save or not risk a good marriage/relation - and heck, go back to that good ol' porn... "I don't drink anymore - I freeze it, and eat it like a popcicle"

I'd prolly say it can and does help in certain situations, but it's just too hard to say yes or no for either way. I'd always thought that porn may help a rapist in lowering his/her libido and thus, making it less likely for them to rape others. But, then again, porn may stimulate and heighten the urge to go out and want to do sexual things including rape. So, I guess it just depends on the person really. Some people are just more prone to cheat, while others may find others attractive and want to cheat but just don't for whatever reasons. I can't really say if porn would be a factor in whether a certain person would cheat or not; but if you had to make me choose I'd lean more towards watching porn would not make a person less likely to cheat. It's my judgement, a surprising number of avid porn-watchers cheat less, if at all. The simple fact is: their real-time mistress is porn itself...pure and simple. Think about it. The arduous make-or-break babe chase for that elusive lay is replaced by the relaxed comfort of vicariously wallowing in your own ultimate sexual encounter right there emanating from your darling computer. Imaginative success beats a hunt failure. But hey.....in the case of a sure thing> testosterone rules.

It could also keep you from even starting a stable relationship--thus never having the chance to cheat--but that's really more of a personal problem, in my opinion. This may be true and prevents at least some from cheating but I wouldn't say it's very healthy. I would argue that reality is best suited for "your own ultimate sexual encounter" rather than porn, which should be for your own ultimate sexual fantasy. I'm not advocating people go out and cheat every time they come up with a new fantasy but if they are unhappy sexually in their relationships then neither porn nor maintaining the relationship as is are the best solutions. I'm sure I'll get some well-deserved flak for this, but constantly resorting to porn may be a sign of a problem in some relationships. (Remember I said "may be" and "some," so please don't get too angry!) "It's incredibly obvious, isn't it? As always, turboshaft, your differing argument continues to pack logic and practical good sense. If we were lawyers opposing each other in a court of law, I think I'd be a little nervious. (Quote)> "prevents at least some from cheating but I wouldn't say it's very healthy." Would you then say "cheating" is healthy? While I may back up and agree with you that conventional thinking dictates "reality" is better than "fantasy" -- I stick to my guns that in the mind of most avid porn aficionados the "ultimate sexual encounter" is indeed their porn. And the fact porn keeps them at home speak volumes about it's validity and the condition of it's health. Many I'm talking about here are regular Joes; and many are professionals; and almost all married --- commonly to trophy wives.

Lol! Don't worry, I'm a terrible public speaker, plus I probably would go to the wrong courtroom, and if it was in the morning I doubt I'd even make it in to court.
Not necessarily, but then again my views are so out of whack I believe that marriage is not natural, nor even all that healthy for everyone out there. I just don't think we are as monogamous a species as some would like us believe. Needless to say I've never been married so I'm not exactly the go-to guy for advice in this area, just my . I just don't think we are as monogamous a species as some would like us believe. [QUOTE=turboshaft] BINGO! It's not rocket science that men are perhaps chemically altered to crave variety when it comes to sex...hence the cheating and roving eye. It always used to amaze me seeing entertainers, high-profile men, or just lucky guys in general, cheat, or simply walk away from drop-dead-gorgeous wives and girlfriends. That was then..... I later married a beauty twenty years my junior, a sexual olympian and in my mind would grace the pages of Playboy or any other glamor Mag. She left for greener pastures, leaving me with vividly priceless memories to sip on until this day. An' you know what? Even during our two years of martial bliss, she still had to share me with my porn.

Thanks, amigos - it's fun to get all those great replies at this thread.....man, that graymane thing: "The simple fact is: their real-time mistress is porn itself...pure and simple." Well put! And BTW as summer comes along, things can get crazy - all those live ones out there compared to the stills/clips - well, maybe that why we're here and a lot of others reasons, too.. Has anyone ever seen this Amour Angels scene with this 'summer-girl' Kristi or (Taisi) at other sites - that's summer/cute girls and all. Put this link here (sorry if there're pop-ups - it - the link - may be removed) http://imagepix.org/image/43f5238aa20f85...0f18a090c807248.html If you're ever a member of Amour Angels - download this scene/video and ENJOY!!!! BTW: That particular clip is among my favorites of all times.. "I don't drink anymore - I freeze it, and eat it like a popcicle" Edited on Jun 06, 2010, 07:44am
