A two-part question for the PU staff It's often occurred to me that there aren't a lot of webmasters who participate here. Because of that, there are plenty of times when we see a comment or review that touches on some points that we never get to hear from the site to address them. My question is, do you ever invite a site's staff to join us here, or is there some issue that I might not see that would prohibit you from doing so? I wonder how many webmasters have even heard of Porn Users or checked the reviews of their site here. It wouldn't suprise me if that was a big number. I think it's always a good idea to email webmasters directly with suggestions and complaints.

I get the impression that "webmasters" and the people who shot the scene are not related and thus my comments would fall on deaf ears or the delete key. If it ain't grits, it must be a Yankee. When webmasters register they have the option of being notified when/if a Review or Comment is posted about their site. Most opt to get those notices. If they respond is up to them. As far as notification of mentions w/in forum threads, no. It's up to a webmaster to follow (or search) the forum for mentions of their site. Which is why you'll sometimes see me mention (mostly to new users) that they'll usually be better served if they make their remark about a specific site on that site's listing page. I'm not sure if it does, Khan. I understand having to register to be able to receive notices, but I can't imagine that all of the webmasters of all of the sites listed on TBP are registered. Maybe I'm mistaken? Do they have to be registered to be listed? If they aren't all registered, that's when my question would kick in. Have you ever invited a site rep to address an issue we've raised on here? Sarcasm is a body's natural defense against stupidity.

No, a site doesn't have to have a rep registered to be listed. However, when a site is listed they are invited to register and told the benefits of doing so. If they're not interested enough to take an interest then, I suspect they wouldn't be botherered with an additional email. But no, if you're talking about sending personal invites to respond to things mentioned by users, we don't do that. FWIW, on a few occassions we *have* personally reached out to site reps when a user has posted about a particular bad experience that we feel the site might want to address directly and its a site we have regular coorespondence with. Oh, and if you scroll to the bottom of a sites PU listing page (down where the "Site News" section is) you can see if any reps are registered for that site. For the record, when Ken is at webmaster shows or otherwise interacting with webmasters, he's always pointing out that there's a lot of good info and insight about their potential customers available here at PornUsers. Thanks for the information, Khan. I've always been curious about what goes on behind the scenes here. You must have been reading my mind with the part I quoted. That's exactly what I was wondering about. Sarcasm is a body's natural defense against stupidity.
