Mac based media server
Having tried to setup my iTunes library with all my video content I hoped to then be able to use the Videos app on the iPad to watch it back. This kind of works but searching media and reading tags is pretty rubbish. iTunes is moulded very much around music rather than videos so I don't expect the functionality to improve any time soon.
Please does anyone know of a good quality, reliable media server/client for a mac/ipad combo that I can do proper searches on content, actress etc. and then playback either to the mac, ipad or appletv? Given the adult nature of the content I don't exactly want to bung it in the cloud either.
I've seen Air Media server but it gets mixed reviews. Hope someone has gone through this type of setup before and can offer some pointers.
