The newsletter went to your Gmail both times and didn't bounce. Please be aware that under your Edit Profile there is a separate section where you can manage your newsletter e-mail address. I don't see anywhere that you changed your newsletter e-mail. Perhaps you are looking in the wrong e-mail? Please check your Gmail address and search for "newsletter@pornusers.com" in your inbox + spam folders. Mark it as Not Spam & whitelist it, if necessary.

I have re-sent the newsletter to those in this thread that asked. Please also make sure that you have newsletter@pornusers.com added to your Gmail safe-senders list. It has been incredibly difficult to get our newsletter to reliably hit the inboxes of our subscribers. Edited on Feb 20, 2012, 09:43am

Hi there, Khan brought this post to my attention so I thought I'd chime in. When a user logs in and selects "Remember Me" we only save the log-in for 14 days. This is mainly for security reasons in case you don't visit for a while, it automatically makes you log-in next time. There was (possibly, depending on how you look at it) a slight oversight in it though. When you visited the site and were "auto logged in" it didn't extend that 14 days, which I believe it should have. I have updated it now, so theoretically as long as you visit once every two weeks, you should never have to log-in again. Unless of course you delete your cookies, use a different browser, manually click log-out, etc.. Hope that helps!

I've increased the bottom line limits to 5000 character and 60 lines. As long as the quality of our reviews stay as high as they are, I have no problem with added length. If it becomes a formatting issue on the pages, I will consider adding a "...read more" link to show the rest of the lengthy review. Enjoy!

Just to update you guys, the downtime this morning was unrelated to the problems on the weekend. Just a poorly timed coincidence with one of our host's network switches going down!

Well put messmer, I agree with you on all aspects. I just wanted to make sure that people understand that the recent CRTC decision and pending reversal isn't regarding our personal bandwidth caps like many believe. The Canadian consumers need to keep fighting back to encourage the CRTC (or more likely the government) to take it a step further and not allow these large ISPs to impose caps on their customers. Like you I pay hundreds of dollars a month for my internet service and I do not believe I should be capped (unless I was seriously straining the network). Canada is already years behind most other countries in terms of internet speed and bandwidth and this is only going to make things worse. In Canada the same companies that provide television service also own the television networks. These are the same companies providing internet, landline, and wireless service. Next I think they will start buying the Canadian banks so they can direct access to our bank accounts too. One example, Rogers Communications owns the Toronto Blue Jays baseball team (and their stadium). They also own the Sportsnet television network. A little while ago they launched a new channel called Sportsnet One, and proceeded to move all Toronto baseball games onto that new channel which other television providers (Shaw, Telus, Bell) did not have access to at the time. Hey guys, I just wanted to chime in here to clear things up a bit. All of the recent CRTC and UBB discussions have not really been about the consumer. The decisions being discussed were about whether or not the large companies that own the lines could force the smaller ISPs using their lines to impose UBB on their customers. As you know these companies in Canada such as Bell, Shaw, Telus, and Rogers have had "soft limits" on bandwidth allowances for many years now and it has been up to them whether or not they want to charge overages. What they are trying to do now is forcing smaller ISPs that share the same infrastructure (such as Teksavvy on Bell lines) to charge their customer overages. That is what the government wants CRTC to reverse. The infrastructure is already in place and it costs virtually nothing extra to deliver more GB to a household. The ISPs are trying to charge something for nothing in a country where bandwidth is already one of the most expensive in the world. There is a lot of confusion around this issue because it comes at a time when Shaw has announced that it will finally start enforcing its bandwidth caps (almost immediately after Netflix launched in Canada). Do you mind letting me know what browser & version you are using? I just tested it in Firefox 3.5 and IE8 and it's working correctly there.

Hey guys, I added a new feature to the forum today which a few of you requested and I'm sure many will appreciate. To the right of the textarea you will now see a link to hide the smileys, as shown here: Once hidden, the site will remember your settings for up to one year, or until you clear your cookies. To have the smiley column back, you can simply click on the "Insert Smileys" image, as shown here: Hope you all enjoy it! As always, if you have any questions or concerns let us know.

Hey RB, if you look closely, you'll see that picturedump is actually doing some trickery. If you load this in your browser, you'll see that it looks like a normal web page, not an image. In Firefox, you can right-click on the image and go to the properties to find the *real* url. ^^ As you can see, picturedump doesn't allow hotlinking. Have a look at this website for some suggestions of free image hosts that presumably allow hotlinking. Edited on Mar 31, 2010, 02:02pm

Hey messmer, I downloaded Sea Monkey and tried to recreate this problem you were mentioning. It seemed to work fine for my, logged in right the first time without having to refresh to another page. Does anyone else have Sea Monkey and can confirm this problem?

During some recent testing, we noticed that parts of PornUsers were slower than they should be. So lately we've been working on improving the speed of certain things. The main focus was the speed of saving a review, comment, or reply. We are looking for some feedback on these issues: - Have you noticed an increase of speed on any part of PornUsers lately? - What parts of the site would you like to see improved speed wise?

There are a couple of ways to see who you voted for. The simplest is it look at the trust votes beside a user's nickname in reviews, comments, etc. If the "Yes" is unlinked and green, then you voted Yes for that person. If it's unlinked and red, then you voted no. The other way is through your profile edit page. If you click Profile Edit at the top of the page, then scroll down to Preferences you'll notice a 'Trust Ratings' section. On the right you should notice a link that says "View and edit your ratings anytime". If you go here, you can view & edit ALL of the trust ratings you've previously given. Hope that helps! While we spent hours testing, fixing, and testing again, we probably missed some things. If you notice any bugs please post them here or send us an e-mail with details and we will get it fixed. Bugs include: - incorrect links - javascript errors - unusual forum behavior - long page load times Thanks!
