I just saw the Rousey/Carmouche fight when I went looking for the youtube link. I've been a fan of hers since the fight where she became champ. Like I said earlier - look at the corel pro 5 - free 30 day download. If you forget about registering it and just open up the first saved project you made, I believe it could bypass that restriction. I bought it before I really had a chance to check that out. I agree with you there but the one thing that is a downside for me is there is no way to put chapters on your disk work. But then I started making them in the 10 - 15 min range. All my TV will do is fast jump. Longest one is about 20 mins - there it would be nice to have chapters. If it ain't grits, it must be a Yankee. I looked but most have had problems right out of the box. After trying it for a couple of days and having downloading a new copy of it today I've already edited two movies. Most all reviews of products have people who are unsatisfied. 23% of the reviews were unsatisfactory (1 or 2 score). The problem most of the time is that there is NO optimum software for everyone. So you have to weigh features vs cost and since it's free to try for 30 days you should be able to make a determination prior to making a decision. There are things that are different than the Roxio but once I figured it out editing was a lot easier. But we will see going forward. If it ain't grits, it must be a Yankee. Just wanted to open up this thread again because I had a post to add. As I've stated previously (though not on this thread) I like to edit my downloaded scenes just to dump the extraneous gonzo. I have in the past, and will probably use some in the future just cause I'm familiar with it, Roxio Creator 2010. But I've not been happy lately with the instability of the video editor. The Creator has other features like a photo shop and music editor which I also use. But I went looking recently at a new video editor and came across Corel VideoStudio Ultimate X5, a recommendation from CNET reviewers. There is a free 30 day look if you're interested. Additionally it is very reasonably priced at $60. Two of the reasons I considered and purchased this software is that is able to use all four of my processors in the editing process whereas the Roxio would only overload one. Secondly, there are adjustable filters (specifically a sharpen filter) which Roxio lacked. Interestingly the Roxio product HAD in older versions this specific filter but did not see fit to include it in their newer products and I could find no way to import it. Nor were they forthcoming in helping me. While I have just downloaded and installed the Corel today, I will follow up with my take on it in the future. If it ain't grits, it must be a Yankee. Three ways I know of and have used. CTL PRTSCN but if it's on the fly not always at right spot. Fraps - a software program that will catch both single shots and capture images on the screen - used for games primarily. ^ Sorry - I use to do that but then I saw where I could put them on this extra hard drive I had and plug it right into my TV. Thus no more dvd watching. What I was referring to is that on a DVD you can create chapters which will move you from performer to performer (or points in between) but on the hard drive there is no way I am aware of for creating chapters - thus, I tend to make smaller (10 - 20min) scenes of one performer. Now I am unable to tell where he shot the latter movie - Voracious was shot in the US, Germany & Romania.
