I'm not saying it won't, I'm just saying that's not the primary goal. PU has thousands of registered users which are no longer coming to the site. They already know about it and what it does and what the raffle is, as opposed to new members who might not. A site like PU/TBP nowadays can depend on only a few sources of new users: search engines, paysite referrals, word of mouth and social media, all ranked by order of possible volume. They all have their own challenges and limits. we're definitely tweaking things for search engines and we have access to paysite members (through our ad platform), but unfortunately the site's are far from being properly setup to handle optimization of traffic buying and user experience. It's something we'll be working on in 2016, but I won't kid you- judging by the state of the code behind them, it is going to be a long and arduous road. | |

Hi everyone, I wanted to jump in and post some updates and feedback. First off, Exotics- thanks for posting your honest opinion. While we cannot fight the industry trend (less quality sites), there's certainly still enough great sites out there to drive enough new reviews & comments to make this site livelier, more useful and interesting. I doubt anyone would write 12 reviews per month, but if we can get 3-4 new reviews per day from the community as a whole, I believe it would be a win. I don't see the raffle as a way to drive new members to the site. Rick & his team were very much aware of the fact that participation died off when the raffle was taken down. My primary hope with it is to get back some of the older users and get them sharing again. My secondary goal is to show our appreciation to you the loyal users. The amount of people still willing to spend on porn is shrinking with time and there were strong wishes expressed by many of you about the raffle. And so we listened. We have the pages designed and ready to go live Wednesday Dec 9th. The raffle will be somewhat different and more simple, but the idea is the same. Sure, there will be issues with it, just like some valid ones you brought up about the previous raffle. We're aware and ready to face that. Please keep in mind, we will run it as an experiment for a month or 2 and see if it accomplishes the goal of increasing participation. So please bear with us and of course as it launches we'll depend on your continuous feedback in adjusting and making it successful. Enjoy your weekend! m | |

Hello everyone, Just a heads up about a small change we did to when reviews become expired. Previously, this was set at 6 months. We've increased it to 12. I think you'll agree with me that these days most sites change very little. On RabbitsReviews our goal was to get a fresh update every 6 months and we still try to do that for our top sites. But majority of paysites change very little even over a several year period. Sad state of affairs with few exceptions. Hello everyone, First off, I apologize for the click bait title lol We are indeed gearing up for the biggest change but it will hopefully be transparent for most of you! When we took over the two sites, we didn't realize how antiquated the servers, technology and code were until we started digging deeper. After intense 2 months of development work, we're getting ready to move TBP and PU to new server setup on Wednesday, October 6th. This includes upgrading to newer server technology & database, a lot of code cleanup and security updates. I hope this move is transparent, but in case you notice lag time, slowness, bugs or functionalities which aren't working properly, please reach out to us and let us know. This move put us back about 2 months as far as developing new features on the sites, but it was something that was very necessary and will allow us to focus on optimizing the site and adding new features going forward. However, that is not the only thing we've done. You may have noticed some of these, but I'd like to point them out anyways - We now have a total of 3 writers working full time on TBP - We've identified a whole slew of discounts which we have access to on RabbitsReviews, but not on TBP which we'll be adding. So far, RealityKings and their bonus sites have 9.95$ scheduled to run every 2 weeks per month, ATK sites got discounts and many more are coming. - We've cleaned up about 100 broken, inactive and fraudulent affiliate programs. This translates to over 500 sites removed from the database. - We cleaned up the live cams category. I know this is not a very popular category for most of you, but I believe part of it may have been due to it being over cluttered with irrelevant sites and clones. We've removed a few hundred of them and now the category is much cleaner and highlights the sites that are truly live cams. https://www.thebestporn.com/categories_types/cams/all_sites/ -We updated TBP with new terms of service, DMCA, Privacy and 2257 policies (Similar ones will be rolled out on PU) https://www.thebestporn.com/privacy.html Nothing notable changes, we're just covering some basics. I know many of you are probably wondering about the raffle. I hate to say this, but when raffle was stopped, the code for it was ripped out of the site and essentially has to be rewritten from scratch. Given how complex the current admin and site are, this will take time and we're still sitting on the fence about whether we'll do it. However, we are working on a separate project which will achieve similar end result and we're very excited to share it with you in due time. supposedly on some sites it's hard to find the members area link to login once you have a paid membership. this was added to help users go directly to the login page. i don't know many cases where this is true, so just wondering on how useful this button really is... | |

One of our worries when considering this purchase was whether this devotion will remain with Rick & his team leaving. But I can see now what matters most to you all and I am sure that we will earn your respect and trust with what we have in store for the two sites. | |

I'd like to introduce myself. I'm Mantas, aka Rabbit. I started RabbitsReviews in 2003, around the same time that Rick started TheBestPorn. As Rick mentioned, we've been friends for many years now and despite our competing sites, we've worked together closely on solving many important issues to both us and our surfers, such as identifying shady operators and scammers, pushing sites to be more transparent, negotiating for lower prices, etc. Our relationship was always based on trust and mutual respect. I've been a lurker on this forum since its very start and have closely followed the discussions regarding the future of TBP. Like many of you, I also thought it would be a great shame if TBP and/or PornUsers were to cease to exist due to Rick's new project. I greatly admire the courage and confidence Rick has shown when it comes to the success of MyPorn.com; it was a gutsy move to let go of TBP, so he and his team could focus 100% on the new site. I sincerely wish it succeeds beyond their expectations as this industry desperately needs new ideas and new products that put the customer and user experience first. I, and my whole team, am extremely proud to be able to continue the legacy of TBP. Rick, Khan and the rest of his team have done a fantastic job of creating unique sites and we intend to continue running the sites with the same philosophy, dedication, and transparency. While we have quite a few changes in mind for TBP and PU, most won't be noticeable to you (but they will be posted here or in the news section). They are basic housecleaning tasks, which are overdue as the sites have been neglected for a few years now. Let's not deny it: both sites need to be modernized and brought into the mobile present. This will be a major task and will require a lot of simplification. But that's at least a year down the road. For now, we will focus on taking over the day-to-day operations, increasing review production, adding new discounts, etc. In the coming weeks, we will be consulting you all, through the forum and polls, on what you would like to see happen to TBP and PU. I know the raffle was very popular. I hope to hear about other ideas you all have that will help this community become more active again. Please don't hesitate to message me here, or in private. This week I will be introducing my team who will be taking over from Khan, Ken and the writers. Of course, I will be poking my head in from time to time and Rick and his team are always welcome to post and keep us up-to-date on their new project. | |
