I do have quite a workflow for every scene I download because I'm obsessed with data and its hygiene. I organize my collection by actress since that is what I care most about. The programs I use in my flow are: Firefox with Internet Download Manager, Picasa 3, Tagscanner, and Pornganizer v5
First, naming convention
Scene name (Release date in format YYYY-MM-DD) [Network name] [Site name]
For example, say I'm downloading this scene.
The file would be named: "Fucking the Deal (2012-12-13) [Brazzers] [Big Tits at Work]". I download the associated images file and give it the same name. I select an image from that file and crop it to widescreen. I then open my tagging program. I put the scene in the program, and then tag it with the cropped image, its name, the "Artist" (female performer[s]), its release date, and then in the Comment tag I put the scene description like so.
After that is complete I move the file to my NAS in a folder with the actress' name. So for the example above a folder named "Jayden Jaymes". A subfolder within it is labeled "Pics" and I move the associated image folder and its .zip there. Picasa 3 then reads the images and scans faces so pics can be organized by actress within that program.
While Picasa is scanning faces I add the video file to Porganizer 5 which reads the file name and its tags and organizes it within that program mostly automatically. I then add categories, genres, and other attributes to the scene. Pornganizer stores all of this in a realm database file.
If there are scenes with more than one actress that I like, I put their names at the beginning of the file and put the file in a folder labeled either "2" when there are two actresses I like (this would mostly be threesome and lesbian scenes but some FFMM foursomes as well) or "3+" if there are at least two actresses I like plus one or more that I may or may not care about. So the naming convention would go "Actress A & Actress B - Scene Name (YYYY-MM-DD) [Network] [Site]" for two. For the other scenario it would be "Actress A, Actress B, Actress C - Scene Name (YYYY-MM-DD) [Network] [Site]".
I really need to brush up on my Python skills to automate some of this stuff. |
