O.k. after having attached the drive to your PC via USB and to the power supply you should see it in the Windows Explorer as a new drive. Right-click onto the drive letter in the folder view on the left side of the explorer and in the pop-up you should see an entry named "Format..." (at least that's what appears in the German version of XP as "Formatieren..."). Use NFTS as file system and don't use the option to fast format the drive. Depending on the size of the external drive this can take 30 or even more minutes but it's worth the wait because afterwards you can be quite sure that the drive is not faulty shortly after you bought it. As you can see this is quite easy to achieve. I'd suggest to go for 500GB at least because this size should offer the best ratio of price and size/performance. Hope this help! Cheers, Smut | |

Guess you are speaking about an external drive with USB 2.0 connection? If the PC is not older than 5 years it should be simple plug and play. I'd only suggest to format the drive to use the NTFS file system because I wouldn't trust a (V)FAT device. That's a real turn off! I always want to see a model's face because I love facial expressions especially if the model has a real pretty face. A few close-ups are o.k. but only a few and to show the genitals only for minutes within a video is a total nuisance! | |

Well a few have their personal site plus a site at SC. For instance Brandi owns brandi4u.com or Sarah that runs goldenfeet.com. What drives me crazy is that a lot of real cool models simply disappear from SC and some come back after a few months time like Cindy or Alex. Hello Khan, thanks that was what I had in mind and it's true that the models have only a few possibilities to influence the design of their individual sites. Plus a lot of things are not allowed e.g. using strap-ons on a male, enemas, some models had to blur parts of their pictures because they for instance have old billboards on the walls of their own homes! | |

She knows that I did that several times the past few days :-). In the end it's her decision because it's her site and she's the one being displayed on the banner. I loved the fact that she was really happy when I mailed her the two versions I created. Maybe I'll have to create a banner for Jessica too. I have to ask Skye about that.
Well, that might have to do with the fact that none of the Southern Charms sites are listed here at PornUsers.com. As far as I can remember this network is being seen as not suitable for being reviewed. But that would be a question aimed at one of those who run this site. | ||

I have to be crazy I guess. I'm in contact with a few models I like and a few days ago I contacted Skye UK because she doesn't have links and/or banners on her model pages at Southern Charms. I asked her if she would like to have a banner that she could share with friends of her (namely Jessica UK and Double Dee) in order to use the chance to get some more traffic. So I created a sample banner and mailed it to her. She loved it but wanted to have other pictures on there but immediately liked the slogan I created "Skye UK the sensual girl that loves to tease" ;-) Has any of you done something similar? Of course not - I mean you won't get rich but my appreciation - but that's exactly what I'm building now. A new NAPS server using the old PC plus parts I couldn't use in my new machine. Those searching for an inexpensive operating system for such a machine can always try to use a standard UN*X like OS plus the Samba server which is needed to transfer data between Windows client and NAPS server using a network connection. | |

Hello ByteMaster, please don't get me wrong. I think that this is a very cool and modern approach you are using but I'm used to ZIPs and yes I know about the trouble you can get into. Therefor your annotations on the risks of using ZIP files are correct. I love to have ZIPs for each photoset and I do so because it reduces the backup time over network or USB connections. I don't use DVDs but an external backup server plus 3 USB HDDs with 500-640GB each. Can't say why but those manual backups are like a celebration for me. I always sort out what I don't like and make sure to have 2 recent updates for each site I really like. | |

Oh, wow! I was just about to get mad today because I'd need a newer picture viewer/manager application. I don't care for the rest but what I'd need was an application that can browse, open, update and create ZIP files plus it would need to handle directories which large amounts of files up to 50,000 and more in one single directory. I joined some sites at southerncharms.com and their approach to store the picture sets is still lousy. Anyhow I'd like to learn more about your software it sounds quite interesting and I guess you'll get some good feedback here in the forums. Cheers, Smut | |

I'm using GetRight DM and I'm happy with it. Ever since I bought that software 2 years ago I got every update for free. The version I bought was 5.x and now I'm using 6.3e. Those sites that aren't Download Manager friendly are mostly not worth a cent. With quality sites it makes fun to fill the queue and see how the files come in one after the other. | |

ALS Scan now has large sets of +300 pics per scene and normally it doesn't take long before the models are fully nude doing lots of kinky things ... but ... most of the new models have piercings and/or tattoos. To be honest I also see no reason to charge more from Europeans for porn. All costs are the same except maybe the cost for data transfer over the Internet but I'm not sure if there's a difference made in the US. Here in Germany it doesn't matter from where on the globe data is being acquired ... maybe someone else has information to share about this. Do you know of any good European sites? That's exactly what happened in the past. My last invoice from my credit card company shows the old amounts I have been charged for from CC Bill plus an additional 1% extra for international payments which is fine with me. Sorry, but DRM sucks because it takes away freedom from those who pay to use content. Those who steal content suck too - that's true and no intelligent one will ever doubt that. DRM is no good at all and I mean it. Why? because it's not necessary at all. Look at quality sites that don't care about that. Why don't they care about? It's because they know that their content is good and unique enough to make people join their sites. It's that simple! Don't know what sites you are running but will take a look in the next few days :-). B.t.w. stealing content happened years before torrent, mule, youtube etc. have existed so don't blame these for being the reason to set up something as stupid as DRM. Thanks! | |

Hell, ALS Scan seems to be down? The last hop when trying to tracert to their servers is 4.79.168.122 and then I get timeouts galore ... This is true for alsscan.com, alsangels.com and heartbreakers.com - damn it! today they will release a new picture series. I don't know which but it's pics and video updates scheduled. Update: Now after having tried some free and lame proxies I still can't tell if the servers of ALS are up and running. Most of the time I'm - if the info from http://www.geobytes.com/IpLocator.htm?GetLocation is right - stuck in the area of New York ... Update #2: Now it's working again and I'm happy about that. To have a Döner Kebab in Berlin has to be quite an experience!
