I'm guessing that someone might be interested in this> I've got the screen scraping working (not aon all websites but on sites like 1ByDay and Met-Art. So - you give the program a zip file (with it's original name) or tell it a "code" from a jpg name or something (e.g. on Met art something like af_329 and it will trawl the site and find the name of the model, the date, the set name and the photographer. You can then either manually use that info or the program can unzip and store the pics in a date or model centric (or both) folder structure. Still developing but it's turning into a pretty useful tool. Not all sites are working that I've tried it on though - anyone able to give me any advice on how to work out they type of authentication used by a site - e.g. Basic or Digest (or I believe there are all sorts of other types too!!). Having read the thread I think the same delays for getting PronCommander out there are going to dog me. I too use a third party product (wzunzip - CLI option for winzip) and nothing is yet documented (although I knew that would be the last thing I'd get around to doing - why document when you're the only person using it!!!?). I'm going to keep ironing out bugs then ask for some testers - I think the screenscraping idea to get model info out of downloaded video has legs that some people may find helpful even if the unzipping feature and shortcut creation isn't for anyone else. Here's where I am at present. 1. Full GUI - am I right in the knowledge that PornCommander is CLI? 2. Each site has to have root folder and a dated structure although the actual structure is flexible and configured using an ini file with "path masks" such as x:\{collectionname}\yyyy\mm\dd - {modelname}\{pics or vid} 3. Each site has various settings configured for example does each update contain pictures AND video (eg. 1BD) are there model info txt files included in zips (eg. metart) and lots more (at the moment only really supporting sites I collect but I've not found a site that can't be added with this tye of masking approach). 4. Options for processing are things like: - process new sets (set a date and a collection and unzip and organise all files since that date) - timer processing (run a full unzip on all setup collections every x minutes. - back processing (for sorting out non-new downloads where you've already unziped the photos etc.) However, unlike the sound of PornCommander I'm not going into thumbnail production etc. I'm sure most of us have other programs we use to actually look at the stuff we collect. This is primarily a tool to enable you to look at a set, think - "man...she's hot...have I got anything else with her in it?" and keep a small central area to enable you to jump around between all a model's appearances in your collection. Anyway -I'm waffling and as most have stated so far - each person collects differently and organises differently (this "vive la difference" was the reason I stopped organising using others' csv files as the format rarely matched my own prefferences). So - I'll try and get the screenscraping working (although it's causing some problems due to password protected sites at present..anyone know how to force a vb.net screenscrape to log into a protected site??) or a website with models to sites and aliases. If not - you know...I may just start one up...my asp isn't too bad!!

Thanks Guys, very interesting reading. I hadn't thought of using meta tags in the video files for viewing withe media player - that's certainly something I can add. I agree that the organisation is part of the fun and my tool has so far been written to fit my way of doing things. I'd love the challenge of trying to get the tool working for some other methods and comment regarding the way others organise is very useful. The next step I'm trying to add the the program is a screen scrape. Particularly useful for sites like metart where the zip file has a unique name but no model info. The scrape would find the file name on the site and get date, model and set names from there. One less step to do when downloading (I currrently rename the zip to "day - modelname" and put it in a dated folder and the tool does all the unzipping and shortcut creation. I'm certainly going to look at keyboard remapper as a way of renaming the zip files going into FDM - looks like that might save some time - thanks. Another tricky aspect I'm looking at is to link models using different names on different sites - not got far with that one yet...any suggestions - maybe screenscraping again from an online database such as sportyones (or is there one on TBP??) Will post my setup into the forum for info. Thanks for the warm welcome guys! Z

Hi Guys - my first post! Really enjoying the site and will be adding as many reviews as I can find time to write. I'm a bit of a porn hoarder and currently have around 12Tb of content. I find keeping track of everything more and more dificult though and especially wanted some way of referencing all the sets of a particular model. So..I wrote a program to keep everything referenced. It's pretty basic - my original plan was to use mysql databases but that would mean using the progam to browse rather than just keeping things organised. So...at present what it does is look through "fairly organised" time based folders (e.g. d:\metart\2009\04\25 - Altea B\*.jpg), unzip any new zip files and create shortcuts back to a central "model" area and vice versa. Seems to work pretty well (for me at least) and I was wondering if anyone else would find this a useful tool and like to get involved in testing and suggesting updates etc. The big downside at the moment is our collections have to be quite organised to start with but it's a start. Anyway - nice to meet you all! Z
