I'm wondering if there was some law passed that says every webcam model has to have the same pink toy hanging out of her cooch. Or is it just a case of "I'm cutting edge and unique - just like everybody else"? Sarcasm is a body's natural defense against stupidity.

I know it's a big change to have lost the raffle but I don't really understand the sense of doom people are putting out there. PU was a great place to be before the raffle came into existence, so there's no reason it still can't be. So what if there aren't reviews coming one after another? The polls are still there and the forum is still wide open to anything that might be on your mind. And, if anyone had been paying attention to what Rick said, there's stuff going on behind the scenes - changes that might just be worth sticking around for. Will we lose people because there's no longer a chance to win anything? I'd say most definitely. But I also think that this big change will have a side effect that most people haven't thought about - it might just clean things up. Maybe we'll get better, well thought out reviews and less comments that had only seemed like they'd been put up for the raffle points. As I've said time and time again, I pretty much join the same sites over and over again, so I really don't think putting up a new review with every sign up is worth doing. But I'm still here, just about every day, checking out what people have to say. The slower pace as of late hasn't bothered me that much - other than the fact that people are calling this the beginning of the end for PU. Stop panicking. Stick around and see what happens! I was going to post this last night but, for some reason, let it go. But we just had a new member, bodawo, jump in to say hello and it convinced me to go ahead and say it: Hey, Lurkers! We're always looking for new input here. So, instead of sitting there in the shadows, why not speak up and let us know what you think of the place? It's often occurred to me that there aren't a lot of webmasters who participate here. Because of that, there are plenty of times when we see a comment or review that touches on some points that we never get to hear from the site to address them. My question is, do you ever invite a site's staff to join us here, or is there some issue that I might not see that would prohibit you from doing so? Some things just never settle in my head. Without mentioning the names of the sites, (especially one I've long avoided and frequently spoken out on) it really makes no sense to me that people will go back, time and time again, to sites with known billing (and other) issues. The comment sections for some of these sites are full of the words like, 'beware', 'scam' and 'ripoff', and yet people still take the plunge. Why? I don't get it. WHY DO IT? Help me understand. We've had similar threads, asking for software for specific purposes, but I don't think we've had a thread dedicated to free applications we've found over the years that we consider "gotta haves". I can't vouch for how any of these run on Vista or Windows 7, but I do know they run on 2000 and XP. Anyway, here are some of my favorites. Bulk Rename Utility If you're like me and you've amassed huge collections of video and pictures, you're eventually going to run into a list of files that just look sloppy, with files being somewhat hard to find. Enter Jim Willsher and his Bulk Rename Utility. The guy is dedicated to his product - he's been updating it for years now. I have so much respect for him, I sent him a donation, even though the utility is free. I can't begin to put a number on the options available in this program. Some of the basic features allow you to add prefixes and suffixes, change letter case, remove and/or replace characters, add sequential numbers and the list goes on. It integrates very nicely into the Windows shell, allowing you to right click to access the program. Been using it steadily for what seems forever. (One of my favorites, hence all the hype LOL) Foxit Reader Opens .pdf files faster and without a splash screen like Adobe has. It also uses less system resources than Adobe. Orbit Downloader A media grabber that will grab most flash videos as well as other audio/video formats. Clonespy A great duplicate file finder, with the ability to apply masks to limit your searches to specific files. Color Cop A multi-purpose color picker for web designers and programmers. It features an eyedropper, magnifier and variable magnification levels. It converts RGB decimal values to Hexadecimal color codes. It has color code support for HTML Hex, Delphi Hex, PowerBuilder, Visual Basic Hex, and Visual C++ Hex. Glary Utilites The best free Windows optimizer I've seen. I call it Windows Washer Plus. Includes a disk cleaner, a registry cleaner, a registry defragger, empty folder finder, a file joiner and many others useful apps. Gspot Codec Information Appliance Identify what codecs are missing on your PC for a video that won't play. VLC Media Player If you want to skip messing with codecs altogether, this is a great media player. In five or so years of using it, it's only failed to play less than a dozen files here. Includes dozens and dozens of options to customize how it plays, including tricks like "cartooning", rotate picture, invert colors, slow and rapid play and a lot more. I stumbled onto this and I thought I'd share it with some people who might appreciate it. 10 Things You Should Never Say to a Porn Star January 04, 2009 Written by Emily McCombs It's AVN season, the time when porn stars dress up in their finest PVC attire and compete for awards in categories such "Best All-Girl 3-Way Sex Scene." And for those lucky enough to be attending the AVN awards on January 10th in Las Vegas, it's also the time when porn stars leap out of the DVD player and come to life to pose for pictures and sign your time-worn copy of Jenna Loves Rocco. Luckily, adult entertainer and Wicked Girl Stormy Daniels (who is nominated for both "Best Supporting Actress" and "Crossover Star of the Year" was kind enough to give us some pointers on how to keep your foot out of your mouth when faced with your favorite porn stars. Read on to find out 10 things you should never say to a porn star. 10. You're too pretty to do porn. (So, you're saying you would prefer to watch ugly people fuck?) 9. Your vagina must be really worn out. (Mine isn't nearly as bad as your mother's after pushing such a giant idiot like you out of it.) 8. I would never watch porn. I think it is degrading to women. (Then how did you know my name? And my measurements? And my astrological sign? And my birthdate?) 7. How do I get my girlfriend/wife to do ________? (Ask her, not me. By the way, talking to me in the first place is not helping your cause.) 6. Wow! You're so much prettier/younger/thinner in your photos. (Obviously your mother didn't teach you anything and it is called Photoshop.) 5. I pleasured myself to you 10 times this week! (OK, I didn't need to know precisely how pathetic you are. And stop trying to shake my hand. I now unfortunately know exactly where it has been.) 4. I could do porn. (No, you couldn't. If you could, you already would be - and no, I will NOT audition you!) 3. Are those yours? (Well, I paid for them.) 2. Do you think you are going to hell? (Discussing religion with a porn star will get you as far as discussing porn with your grandmother - just don't try it.) 1. I wanna take you out on a "real" date. ( I did not realize all my other ones were imaginary.) Sarcasm is a body's natural defense against stupidity. Edited on May 03, 2010, 06:39pm

Since more than a few people have made references to my anger in their posts, I thought it might be nice to "put it all out there" so you can understand what I lovingly call "my rage". It might surprise some of you that I really do get a kick out of it when people think they understand why I appear so angry. To start, you can look at what I had to say about my nick in my profile. "I love Humanity but, invariably, people just suck. There always seems to be someone right around the corner, trying to fuck things up." Some might call it sheer pessimism, I say, as I often do, that if you're not cynical, you're not paying attention. In my world, assholes abound. From little inconsiderations like people failing to say thank you when you hold a door for them, to the guy who bankrupts his own company, putting all his workers out on the street. From the guy who flips you off because you honked his horn at him when he cut you off, to the politician who passes a bill that doesn't affect his livelihood - I'll fight 'em all the best I can. It actually makes me happy to try to get people to justify their lack of responsibility to other people. Yes, I have many joys in my life. Decent health, a niece and nephew I adore, an absolute love for Nature and music and, one of my favorite things, what I consider to be a good sarcastic wit. Maybe not the sharpest knife in the drawer, but I have fun with it. I laugh and smile more than anyone could imagine. What people see here seems to clash with that picture of me and I find it really amusing. I'm just a cynic - one who's made it one of his goals in life to always speak out against anything that appears contrary to the truth. I know that truth is subjective, but I'm conceited enough to think I have a pretty good idea when people are full of shit. And, as I think you can tell, I'm more than happy to let them know it. I hope all this eases the minds of anyone who pictures me climbing a tower with an assault weapon one day. That's not me at all! The rage continues! (Picture a big cheesy grin here) Sarcasm is a body's natural defense against stupidity.

* Keith Moor * From: Herald Sun * December 29, 2009 11:08AM SEX website boss Garion Hall has been charged with child pornography offences after Victoria Police raided his business and seized footage of allegedly illegal sex acts. Mr Hall has also been charged with 54 counts of making objectionable films for gain and possessing a commercial quantity of objectionable films. The charges relate to sexually explicit DVDs allegedly made by his multi-million-dollar company, G Media. Mr Hall, 35, of Heidelberg, is due to appear in Melbourne Magistrates' Court on January 27 to face 57 charges. Two of Mr Hall's former models yesterday accused G Media of exploiting them and other nude models by not warning them it was illegal to profit from making objectionable films in Victoria. The women, who appear on the G Media website as Blaire and Melita, claimed G Media used large cash incentives to lure naive women into performing sex acts on camera. "Many G Media models are teenagers or students who are hard up for money and the offer of cash in hand certainly entices them to go much further than they would otherwise," Blaire, 23, said. "What they don't realise is once those sexually explicit images are on a DVD or website then they are there forever and may come back to haunt them when they are older and wiser." Melita, 24, who used to work in G Media's office as well as model for the sex site, said she was horrified when G Media refused a plea from a pregnant Sudanese woman to remove explicit photographs of her from the website. "Her father found out about her nude modelling, which included shots of her heavily pregnant," she said. "He threatened to kill her and her unborn child if the photographs and videos were not removed so she begged G Media to get rid of them. "After her request was refused, the Sudanese community was so fearful for this young woman's safety that members had a collection and then offered to pay G Media to take down the offending photographs. "That request was also refused and those photographs are still on the site and making money for G Media. "Another of our models died soon after posing and some of her friends suggested the explicit shots should be removed as a mark of respect. "G Media refused and the shots of the dead woman -- who was only 19 -- are still on the site." The Herald Sun revealed details in June of raids by Yarra CIU detectives on several G Media premises, including its head office in Fitzroy. Computer records and DVDs allegedly containing material too graphic to be legally made in Victoria were among items seized. Mr Hall was arrested at his Heidelberg home during the June raids. He was released after being questioned and was charged last week. Sarcasm is a body's natural defense against stupidity.

I tried to make a poll out of this question but I couldn't break it down right. So I'm asking here - do watermarks ever keep you from joining a site? Looking at some of the reviews here, I'm thinking this might just be another one of my pet peeves. I'm not a big fan of labels anywhere - like refusing to buy designer clothes because I don't like paying to advertise someone's product. There are some highly rated sites that I know of that have what I'd call large and intrusive watermarks, even though TBP lists them as medium-sized. I know it's probably done to protect their content, but sometimes I think they go overboard. When I'm checking out a video, the last thing I need to see is a big, colorful reminder of where I got it. What do you guys think? Sarcasm is a body's natural defense against stupidity.

I'm curious if any thought has been given to not allowing people to start threads in the forum until they've been "trusted by the five". That would stop people from stumbling onto the site, signing up, and posting whatever they feel like posting. That would be less cleaning up for the mods and a cleaner site all around for all of us. Now that's timing. A couple days ago, I was thinking about starting this thread. Today, I saw Colm4 started a poll about desktops. So it turns out I'm not the only one curious about peoples' desktops. Here's what I've had on mine for a couple months now: http://img39.imagehaven.net/img.php?id=V..._Desktop_7-22-09.png Sarcasm is a body's natural defense against stupidity.

Anyone else using Firefox have to scroll down to where you were on a page when you hit the back button? The best I can tell from Googling the problem is that either my browser needs upgrading, or it's in the coding of the site. If it's a site issue, I'd just as soon leave my browser alone - I don't always go for "new and improved" when old and lousy works just fine. Sarcasm is a body's natural defense against stupidity.

Just putting this up to remind people to do what I've been pretty lax in doing myself - show your appreciation for the work people put into writing all these reviews. To the people who aren't getting the votes they think they should... You might want to check out the people with high marks and see what their reviews have that yours don't. Getting more detailed reviews up and having them appreciated can only make this site even better than it already is. I've gotten enough information from this site to have avoided joining sites that I would've wound up regretting. I've also found great sites that I might've otherwise missed. All in all? Good job, people! Thanks and keep up the good work! Sarcasm is a body's natural defense against stupidity.
