I get a fair share of porn spam, maybe 50 emails a day. I can put up with that, even though I don't like some of the titles e.g 'farmyard slut sucks horses big c0ck'. Since I have never had any interest in beastiality porn, I dont particularly like getting sent that type of shit.
What alarms me now is I have started to receive regular porn spam emails with my full name in the title. The only place I have entered that sort of information is on supposedly secure billing pages. So what else could have been given out... my address? my card details?
When you join sites they claim to not pass your details on, but this is obviously not the case. The sites that are doing this is increasing my chances of fraud and identity theft. I would like the perpetrators of this invasion of privacy to be pinned to the floor and teabagged by some sweaty sumo wrestlers.
Are any other people concerned about their personal info landing in the wrong hands? |
