mbaya - I would much rather sell 1000 subscriptions and have some stolen content. If my other choice is to sell 100 subscriptions with little stolen content. The facts are simple, people that steal content are not your market segment. Pretty good chance that they will not be paying for your product if you make it DRM or Streaming. There is also an adverting aspect to stolen content. How many sites get exposures and customers from Tube Sites that they may not get by SPAM emails or word or mouth. Hell.. Adult webmasters aren't the most ethical internet merchants.. they have no qualms about spamming the shit out of my inbox. The webmaster is not a business man... He is falling into the trap of being an "artist" that cares too much about his "art" and not enough about profit. The key to producing any art form is being able to pay the bills. It makes ABSOLUTELY NO SENSE that they would cut their own throats and lose business to protect their "art". It is still porn.. It is not going to appreciate in value over time, it is actually going to decrease, sell it when you can. If this starts to happen, you will see large networks where you can still download files dominate the industry. This will allow a huge marketshare grab AND could foster a price increase by sites allowing downloads. This makes absolutely no business sense, it is cutting off your nose to spite your face. Stepping over a dollar to pick up a dime. This is what happens when none business folks try to run a business. Still to website designs, photography and smut, hire a business manager. I'm not really a fan of this website.. I took them up on the $5.00 offer. It isn't too bad, just a little sample of video or niche. MOST of the videos can be found on VIDEOBOX or AMERICAN VICE.. at a MUCH MUCH higher quality and complete. Good Price.. just not a webiste for me :) BTW.. If you cancel again after they give you the $14.95, they give you a monthly code for reoccuring at $9.95

RodneyMoore.com - huge facial site. The website looks like he developed it in 1997, because he did. Rodney is far from attractive, but he generates some HUGE facials. The quality was decent by 1997 standards with vids and pics. I would like to get an update on the quality today. CoverMyFace.com - Is part of the BrainPass group of sites and is very nice. Many of the scenes are from the BakersDozen series and are pretty darn good. The scenes are done by Brandon Iron. SpermGlazed.com - Again, part of the BrainPass group of sites. Very good, but still small. A good value when you consider the other 40 sites in the family. ComeForCover.com - Euro facials in the spirit of the BakersDozen video series. The Euro ladies don't seem to mind as much, making the site less "extreme". Good quality videos, with many download options. GermanGooGirls.com - Very good, very weird AmericanBukkake.com - JM makes some great material, there sites lack video quality, which is a drawback. SweetLoads.com - Has some bukkake material inside their network. This is pretty extreme for some people. FrostedFaces.com - Independent site with some very amature looking ladies. Not too bad. CumOnDagny.com - Nice looking MILF that seems to really get off on facials. 1000Facials.com - I really love the quality of the site, the photos, the videos and the ladies. This guy does a very nice job and has a Network of sites that include Throated.com which I really enjoy. CumFixation.com - Good site that has a lot of cum play. AmatureAllure.com - I really like this site and the amature feel, yet high quality camera work. FacialHumiliation.com - Decent site, ok quality, lots of scenes. I do use an external drive system, it is eSata 3.0, so it is pretty fast. I'm going to try and save to an internal drive and see what happens. The lag is not during playback, it is when I try to skip ahead, it takes 5 or 10 seconds to catch up. BTW.. My system has... Dual Core 2.66 Ghz Processor Intel Executive Series Board 4 GB RAM Dual 22" Widscreen Monitors 80Plus Power Supply (3) Internal 1.0 TB Sata Drives (8) 1.5 TB SATA Drives in an External NAS eSata Unit. I completely understand what you are talking about BadAndy! More Storage! Anyway... I don't want to drop hundreds of dollars on new video card, but.... if anyone has a recommendation of a card that can handle HD Video. I not a gamer, so no concerns there. I joined the ZTOD site yesterday and downloaded a few of the 1020p videos, they are GREAT! My problem is with the playback of the videos. I have tried serveral video playes including Media Player and VLC Player. It is very difficult to advance the video without lag involved. I have a very nice computer with a Dual Core 2.66 Ghz processor and 4 GB of RAM. This problem occurs with any video encoded with mp4 codec. Does anyone have a better player or suggestion to make these videos easier to handle? Is it a player problem or settings? I just joined Pornstar.com... has quite a few studios that the other DVD sites don't. Does anyone know how to sort by video? My feeling on Porn Piracy are slighty different from Software of Music piracy. Website developers, producers and porn people need to decide if those pirating the products would truely purchase them if they weren't available illegaly? Are you really losing customers to the Newsgroups, Torrents or Tube sites? Probably not many if any. It is a FACT that you are losing a loyal customer base with DRM Protected vidoes. Why risk losing your REAL customer base to prevent piracy by those that may never purchase anyway. splantet has seen a decline in subscriptions, could it be that there are many more avenues for the true amature porn? Seems like there are a ton of sites, were before there weren't. You must stay AHEAD of the curve and evolve. Working on something for six years is great, but you must work forward. I'm a member of 6 sites right now, none of which have DRM. The last DRM site that I joined (GGG) changed policy within a month of my joining. If you want to lessen the impact of those joining the trial and downloading the entire site. Ask for a very small amount $1.99 for a day trial, with access to only a few full vids. Then have options for a longer subscription. I have joined American Vice for a year, VideoBox for 10 months and yesterday joined BrainPass again for one year, only $89! You get much more money upfront and I doubt that I will use more bandwidth. In fact, my bandwidth comsumption will be spread over one year rather than 4 weeks. I decided to take the plunge and Join the site XRentDVD.com. It is a DVD Rental Website that gives you options like Netflix. No Shipping 3 DVDs at a time, unlimited per month. They have lots of options and many DVDs that aren't available on VideoBox or AmericanVice. Has anyone joined or used this site in the past? I enrolled yesterday and filled my queue, but they haven't shipped or indicated that they are going to ship yet. It has been 24 hours. These external units seem to overheat quite a bit. The controller card inside of the external device quits working and is the problem. If this is a single drive, you can purchase another external drive unit without a hard drive. Most of the time you can buy one for about $30.00. It is easy to remove the one drive and put it in the new unit. Simply connect it to the PC once installed and this should tell you if it is the drive. The real problem is when you span two hard drives, that is what happened to me. I don't believe that this is your issue. Question #1 - The funny thing is that I'm starting to get into collecting the pics and vids of specific models. Let's say I like Bree Olsen (which is true). She is on 45 different sites including VideoBox and other DVD sites. I needs to keep my files in the folders and directories for each website, so that I know where I am when I come back to a site to continue downloading. I like to keep the files in the site folders and then creat shortucts to those files in a folder dedicated to the model. There has got to be a better way. Must be a program or database that will let me organize them and line them. Question #2 - Another thing I'm doing is using windows explorer to view things like bit rate, title and comments by default. I have to set this for each folder. This allows me to enter in this information for VideoBox vids, so that I can search for Specific Models easy with Windows Explorer search. Any Ideas for a better way for either of these tasks? The OS won't even recognize either drive. They both spin, one clicks (most likely the arm is broken). I'm afraid that this is lost cause. Had archives from VideoBox, 3rd Movies, American Vice and New Sensations. Most are replacable. THe American Vice site is a pain in the ass to download. I have an external hard drive that has decided to not work. It contains two 500GB drives that have been formated to show as as one unit or 1 TB. I have discovered the drive that is bad, but would like to recover the data from the other drive. I pluged the working drive into a new enclosure and it is recognized but is not assigned a drive letter. I go into manage in my computer and then into the Disk Managment section. The Disk shows as Unallocated and NOt Intialized. Can anyone tell me how to have the disk recognized and recover the data on the disc? ACDSee is pretty good. I don't believe it is the best option. It allows you to rename file fairly easily and give you a good preview of each folder. It also has a video player that is decent. This may be mixed in another thread, but it may be nice to have a concise list. If you could answer these questions: What do you use as; 1. Picture Viewer 2. Video Player (wmv, mpeg, dvix, avi, qt) 3. Download Manager Photos 4. Download Manager Videos 5. File Management Tool ---- I use the following 1. ACDSee - There may be something better, not satisfied 2. Windows Media Player - is there a better option? 3. FlashGet - Works well, but I would like to save my login information when working with mutliple sites. 4. FlashGet - See Above 5. I simply use Windows Explorer - Any other options? I'm definately a collector. I don't watch most of the material that I Download. I have about 8 TB of data at this point from as early as 1996. It is really funny to see the terrible videos that were put out in the infancy of online porn. I have found myself downloading an entire sites contents, pictures and videos only. I don't download the actual code :) My biggest problem is finding ways to automate the downloading of certain sites. Right now I'm working my way through the BangBros Network and it is all manual download. It would be great if we could get a tutorial section on the site. Maybe a "best practices" of working with download managers on specific sites. I used to like to collect specific starlets, but that is much tougher with Internet Only ladies and all the Euro babes... I rather like the close up shots.... I would rather have a mixture of close and glamour shots in a photoset. In videos are like it down and dirty with closeups and lots of action. I could really care less about the "art" Funny thing about it... I don't condemn those who like the artsy shots, it really doesn't bother me. I simply choose to download sets that do appeal to me.
