This thread is ancient but it's definitely due for an update. Please contribute with your current 2021 software recommendations. As for me, I use: 1. Picasa (no longer supported by Google) -I like this software because it is lightweight and opens your picture in fullscreen with a minimal user interface. It comes with basic photo editing tools such as rotate, crop, etc. Nothing fancy but it gets the job done well. 2. PotPlayer -This is a free, feature-rich software much like VLC. I prefer it to VLC due to the deep customization features and ease of use. To maximize file compatibility, I also have the K-Lite codec pack installed (not required). 3. Internet Download Manager. -This software is well worth the $25 they ask for a lifetime license. It downloads files quickly using multiple servers and has browser integration plugins for one-click downloads. WARNING: This and other file downloaders may violate some websites user agreements and you could get you account banned if they do not allow this kind of software. I found this out the hard way. 4. For most photos I just use my regular browser (right-click, "Save image as") but Internet Download Manager can be used for this as well. 5. I currently use Windows Explorer but I use Q-Dir occasionally when moving lots of files from drive-to-drive. Q-Dir offers a 4-window view, which I have yet to find in other file managers. | |

I totally agree! I view porn as a hobby. My favorite activity is porn. Paying for porn allows more porn to be produced. Plus the quality of the videos is almost always better than what you can find for free. | |

I use PotPlayer, it's free and supports lots of codecs. It has a playlist option by default and has tons of settings you can tweak. | |

One route is to invest in SSDs (Solid-State Drives). They are essentially flash drives with large amounts of storage. Since they don't have any moving parts (as opposed to a regular HDD) they are much less likely to fail. The only downside is their cost. If you want one with a decent amount of storage, you'll be shelling out quite a bit. | |

I, for one, was a huge Tumblr porn fan. I ran two different porn blogs and I got to chat with a lot of cool dudes. I think all of us who used Tumblr for porn are going to search out different sites that are similar. In my searches, nothing comes very close to the experience Tumblr provided, however. I think "tube" sites like PornHub will get a boost from previous Tumblr users, but I doubt people will be signing up for paysites in droves. Part of the whole appeal of Tumblr was that it was free. It also depends on your wireless card. My desktop only has a card that is capable of connecting to 2.4 GHz networks, while my laptop can connect to 5 GHz networks. The 5 GHz network is more the double the speed of my 2.4 GHz network, but the range of the signal is far shorter - I must be seated within about 10-15 feet of my router in order to fully utilize the 5G speeds. | |

If you're like me, you have more than one PC. I have a desktop which I use for all of my media storage and gaming, and a laptop I use for on-the-go browsing. However, it can become a hassle if I want to transfer files between the two. For instance, I downloaded about 300 gigabytes of videos on my laptop but I want to move them to one of the internal hard disks on my desktop. I thought I would have to drop money on a large external hard disk, but I was able to find a much cheaper and much quicker method: using a LAN/Ethernet cable! If you have Windows 10 Pro (as opposed to the "Home" version) you should have BitLocker built into your OS. You may have to change your motherboard's BIOS settings in order to get BitLocker to work, but that should do the trick. If you don't have Windows 10 Pro, unfortunately I don't know of any other mainstream, reliable programs you can use to encrypt your entire hard drive. There are, however, programs that allow you to encrypt certain files/folders within the hard drive. I do not know exactly how reliable they are as I have never used them. I love having access to paysites but I don't have the money to buy over a dozen memberships. I am curious as to what site subscriptions you all would have, all at one time, if given the chance. Let's pretend you had unlimited funds. If you could join any sites you wished, which ones would be your absolute staples? For me, I love anal, dp, mmf, gangbangs, creampies, and some bdsm. I don't think they specifically take VISA giftcards, but Naughty America will take gift cards from actual retailers. If you could find a way to spend the Visa gift card on either a physical or digital gift card from one of the retailers Naughty America accepts then that should work  | |

My porn stash is probably fairly tiny compared to most PU users. I have only been downloading 720 and 1080 vids for a few months, ever since I got my first subscriptions. I believe I just hit the 90 gigabyte mark, so I have no trouble storing everything on my main 1 TB hdd for now. I have another 1 TB drive and a little 2.5" 320 gigabyte drive that are not installed in my tower yet. I imagine, in the future when I need more space, I will just move all of my porn over to its own separate 1 TB drive. For me, I prefer to keep each "site" separate. For instance, I have a folder specifically for Evil Angel videos, a folder specifically for 21 Sextury, a folder for Team Skeet, etc. Within these folders are sub-folders labeled for the sites within the main subscription. For example, my 21 Sextury folder has multiple sub-folders inside; one for DP Fanatics, one for Asshole Fever, etc. My method may sound a little weird to most of you but I like to know exactly how many videos I have from each of all of the different sites I have access to with my subscriptions. I try to correctly title the video file with the exact same name it had from the website I downloaded it from. After that, however, I usually don't bother organizing the videos once they're sorted into the folder of the site where they came from. This is because I have specific interests (namely anal, dp, and gangbangs) which are clearly going to be present in much of the porn I download. In other words, it would be pointless for me to organize the videos by the actors/actresses in it or by the type of sex involved because most of the sites now-a-days are very niche-oriented and almost all of their videos will have similar actors/actresses and a general "theme" for how the sex goes down. For instance, I wouldn't waste time filing my Evil Angel videos under "anal" or "gaping" because those things are practically a given for that particular site. As far as the picture sets go, I only have two or three complete photo sets; I never usually bother downloading them. If I were to start downloading the photo sets I would probably just make a "pictures" folder for each sub-site folder and put all of the sets in there. I agree, if there is a large yearly discount you might as well fork over the discounted 12 or 6 month lump sum and be done with it. As long as you know for sure you'll enjoy pretty much all of the content on the subscription it makes sense to me. | |

Right, the bigger companies are pumping out new content at probably triple the rate of most smaller sites. Smaller sites must then charge more to keep up with the quality of their titles. | |

I personally have never seen a site that asked for more than $50 monthly, and that was if you only decided to pay for one single month of access. Month-to-month prices or 3-month packages are INTENTIONALLY overpriced in order to get you to sign up for the 6-month or the yearly packages. They are most likely hoping you'll forget a year from now that you signed up and get you for another year. That, and they know people like us PU members will just sign up for 30 days and download everything they want then cancel - if every site was only $10 or $15 a month then they'd go out of business because of everyone who does this. Porn is fairly expensive to make - cameras capable of recording in 1080p and/or 4k, actors and actresses to pay, WEBSITES TO RUN (which includes paying webmasters and includes the cost of servers needed to hold terabytes worth of HD porn  ), legal fees to pay, lawyers, etc. In most ways, $30-$50 a month isn't bad if you intend to enjoy their entire website for 30 whole days. Disney World is like $200 for 8 hours  which would you prefer? | |

Glad I switched a while ago. All carriers keep call logs for legal reasons and most keep records of who text messages are being sent to and from. Don't quote me but I think either Sprint or Verizon is the only one that doesn't keep text message to-and-from records, or at least clears them after a relatively short period of time. I do not think any company PUBLICLY admits that they can read sms messages sent over their networks, but it could very well be possible. The police can most definitely access the content of text messages from the cell company if they have a warrant. Most carriers keep to-and-from sms records for at least 2 years. If you're an iPhone user, all iMessages (blue texts) are encrypted and sent through Apple's servers, so there's at least some safeguard against the big cell companies. But, then again, Apple or anyone who hacked Apple's servers could potentially access iMessages. I think BBM for Blackberry may use similar technology. It's all a gamble, a risk we take for having 21st century technology. Unlimited HD porn in our pockets but the looming specter of Big Brother that wants to know what kind of porn you watch so they can sell you more...lol | |

It sounds like you are using Verizon's internet - are you using a portable hotspot or using your phone as a hotspot? Either way, Verizon is bound to be wayyy slower than Comcast or other internet providers, especially when downloading hour-long 1080p porn videos. One thing you can try is switching your DNS servers to Google's or Open DNS's. They are usually much faster than whatever DNS servers are available through your internet provider. There are simple instructions to do this on a Mac. | |

I imagine Fleshlight or other adult toy makers will soon work with creators of VR porn in order to sync sensations within the sex toy to what the user is watching in VR. So, as we all know, choosing which sites to join can be tough. There are plenty of great sites with great discounts. I currently have a yearly subscription to Evil Angel, which I love, and a month-to-month subscription to Kink Unlimited. I may not keep Kink in the future and I want to add more hardcore porn to my collection. I have narrowed down my choices as follows: I join the 21 Sextury Network for 1 year @ $63 -AND- I join Team Skeet for 1 year @ $60, for a total one-time payment of about $125 ---OR--- I could join Jules Jordan for 1 year @ about $150 I want the subscriptions to the first two because I want to see their anal, gangbang, and creampie content, most of which will be new to me. On the other hand, Jules Jordan makes some really hot videos and also has good anal, DP, and creampie shoots. Which should I choose,if either? Your input would be greatly appreciated.
